Is there a way to turn down the "harshness" of the Takeoff lights in the sim? Whenever I turn them on, the white glare is SO bright that I can't even see what's in front of me. It's hard to tell if I am even staying straight on the runway. I seem to do better when I just turn on the taxi lights. It seems to not be as "harsh" & glaring.Just wondering.ThanksChris Catalano

People have been doing some pretty cool things with the new HTML-ized FS9 kneeboard. In that spirit, I've put together an interactive checklist. Each item has an associated checkbox, and the page will save a cookie with the state of the checkboxes automatically so that I can close the kneeboard and come back to it at any time (or I can even save the flight and come back another day and my checklist will still be marked).I'd like to program a cookie that automatically scrolls down to the the last place in the list that the user was looking, but I am not sure if that is possible (any HTML gurus have a suggestion?) ... in the meanwhile, I've added quick links to each section…

Dear Members, I am experiencing problems with my FS....The Problem is that when I run fs...the sound is coming very fainth...also i noticed a reduce in my Fps...I re-installed my video card drivers (latest 45.23) Ge Force Fx5600...and even my sound card drivers (SBlive5.1)...can anyone help me...I got confused now..as i don't know what to do...and I dont want to loose everything I have on FS...Hope that someone will help me out pls!!Regards,Justin ZammitA320 Captain

I just bought a new video card (Radeon ATI 9600 Pro 256mb). I took my old one out which was a Nvidia 64 mb (its a poor card with an X at the end, cant remember exactely) and put my new one in and installed the CD. I then went to Omegacorner and downloaded a driver for the ATI. When I fly now, i see no difference whatsoever. I am getting studders that make it impossible to land, in between views it takes up to 10 seconds, no change in graphics, and lower frame rates. What should I have expected when jumping to this video card? I am running 256 RDram, but have a 512 coming next week. I have a 2.4 ghz processor. Im sure that will help. Hello Guys,may be a stupid question, but on nvidia download page the newest detonator driver of the 50 series are not hosted for win98 me, but for win2000 xp.Anyone with information about this.Will there be a release for win98 me later on?Has anybody tried to install the drivers for win 98 me?With the the automatic installer the drivers could not be installed for win98 me, because released for win 2000.Is it possible to install the driver manually for win98 me?.Thanks in advance for your replys.Andreas

GunfighterI recently posted a question regarding AGP transfer problem with FX5600 card and Shuttle motherboard. Got help suggesting that my "controller chip drivers" from MOBO weren't installed -- thanks very much for for the help, this may in fact be the problem. Unfortunately, I need a little help with the lingo-- assuming MOBO refers to motherboard?? correct?-- what is the controller chip? is that the chip that runs the motherboard?-- would this be on the motherboard CD identified as "install AV49N drivers"? (AV49N is the model of Shuttle motherboard)-- how do I find out if my motherboard drivers are up-to-date?-- any help for a neophyte greatly appreciated. Thanks…

I am trying to install FS2002 again, however I am getting the same FPS on default airports as I get on FS9 with simflyers...So I am asking, if anyone still have links to FS2002 optimization websites or links.Thanks

I was wondering if there are any good freeware A330 Rolls-Royce Trent 700 sounds to complement that POSky A330v2.If there isn't a Trent 700 sound package, they could be another engine package which sounds very similar to the RR Trent 700. Probably the RB.211.Any help would be appreciated.Regards

Does Project AI work in FS 2004? I tried to use the installer and it wouldn't work directed towards the main fs2004 [email protected]

"Install: Just unzip the file and send the Aircrafts folder to the FS2004 AIRCRAFT FOLDER.Then, copy the gauge file and paste into the main gauge folder. Copy effects into the main effects folder.If you use the virtual cockpit you have to download the VC texture from www.avsim.com"First, there is no AIRCRAFT FOLDER, so I assumed it was the main folder with the POSDY 757 name. Then there appears to be no gauge file, then no effects folder. What am I doing wrong? Just did the normal extract using Winzip latest. Below is a print of the zip folder's contents.Noel

I just downloaded Hector Molina's A340 Version 5 panel for the AeroDesigns A340.Unfortunately, only Display 2 works and turns on the Primary Flight Display gauge. But when I press Display 1, nothing happens and none of the other gauges are turning on.I downloaded the patch and installed it and it still didn't fix it.This was not a problem with Version 4.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this a/c installed and working in FS9, however 2 things gripe me, both probably due to resolution.Firstly when the a/c loads all the panels are show up on the screen at once covering the whole cockpit area.Secondly the fonts are very small and virtually illegible.I think that the plane is optimised for 1024x768 resolution so this could explain the above factors, but does anyone else have this problem and if so is there some kind of fix for this apart from lowering my screen res.I am operating at 1162x864 res.Any help/comments on this would be appreciated.Chris

I noticed that my 2D panel appears to be that of the default FS9 747 panel (I think). However, the VC appears to be new/different. My question is if the POSKY 757 panel just uses the default FS9 747 panel, or did I do something wrong during the install?Thanks,JIBRADY

Hi,Just a tip. Last night, 03.02 AM, I started FS and for no appearant reason it started to rebuild the scenery list.I thought ... Hello All,Yesterday I had to buy a new processor (previous one was toasted)? So I decided on the Athlon 64 3200 with the Asus motherboard and corsair 3200 ram, I kept my old graphics card Geforce 4 4400 TI (4x AGP)I reinstalled everything and started up FS9 however my frames rated are still the same as with my previous processor (AMD XP 2100)Can thid be due to my graphics card ?I had not expected to have a huge increase in FPS but none is very surprising I get at KMIA with 100 % AI and slider on the ultra high level 6 - 12 fps.Is this normal ?Regards,Peter
