Airports are great but I prefer terrain and scenery over airportsHit me with some other places to spend my cash!!!

On this add-on a/c I have, the SPD/VS function works a dream; but the FL CH function is unstable in that it cannot keep the commanded IAS. So the a/c trims and re-trims itself all the time on AP and it porpoises up to cruise and then plunges down at an insane VS on descent. The AI arrow chases the FD arrow all the way up and down in climb mode.Is this a gauge issue or a .cfg file issue? I mean, can I go into the cfg file and correct a certain parameter for the trim?Appreciate guidance, thanks!JS

Hi all, does anyone have a FLAPS 15 speed table for a 737-400?

Over in the Posky repaint forum there was an Aer Lingus A330 that was uploaded to Avsim a couple of days ago. I found it for a minute this evening around 7:30 Eastern time and then got a message saying the file wasn't there when I tried to download. Does anyone know what might have happened to it?

In spot view I get this annoying sound of wind is there any way to get rid of it.. even pressing Q does not get rid of it only maybe clearing weather it no options in sound config effect it at all... I can not stand it any help appriciated..I think it might have come with some of the enviro sounds I might have downloaded sometime ago who knows.. anyone experience it?Only way I can get rid of this sound is clearing the weather totally with CTRL+SHIF+W that is the only way... any help greatly appriciiated if anyone had this problem and knows how to get rid of it..ThanksAndy

Can somebody give me step by step instructions on how to download /upload freeware into MSFS 2004. I have tried to do this a few times and I just don't know what to do and where to put anything and in what folder. I figured if I unzipped a file into the aircraft folder it may work, but obviously that was not the case. Although I am a private pilot and also have been an avid simmer for many years, I have never been able to do this.Thanks, Pete

Anybody using PSP8? I need to get an idea of how you do your rivet lines. I used PSP7 before but it seems they changed the way PSP8 custom lines setup is done from the older version.If there is a good painting tutorial some place for MSFS aircraft and PSP8 that would help also.Thanks for any help,

I installed all PAI packages, but they seem to have little amount of flight plans. Can I just install the MRAI flight plans as well? Can multiple FP's conflict with each other or the more the better?Thanks

I am using a PIII 1 gig with Win XP and 1 gig of ram and FS2K2 runs real good and FS9 is not bad at all.Now my question is I have an ATI rage 32meg video card.I want to upgrade and I know there is a limit as to what I should get to replace the ATI.What would be a good card for this system?I am going to replace the system but I want to max this one out and I know the video card is the last step with this machine.Thanks,

I was trying to re-insatll an older version driver. I used driver cleaner. After I installed..any driver...during the installation process it looks as if "all" is being installed properly..and I usually reboot right away so the setting take place ..but after re-boot..no new settings are there..I am at the VGA..no drivers can be found at the properties box. I tried every driver I had on file and I even dnld from mVidia ..just in case. Now all I am limited to is the 32bit settind and 800X mode are my only options. When I check out my 'driver' properties at the nVidia card ..there are NO DRIVERS??Any help app!MB

Guys, I need your help!!! I have a very serious problem with FS9, and youradvice would be more than welcome. My PC is an AMD XP 2400+, on a SoltekDRV-75 motherboard, with 768mb of DDR ram. I am using an ATI Radeon 8500128mb graphics card. I have installed FS9, and my graphics settings areapprox. 3/4 of maximum. The sim runs fairly good, giving me 15-30 fps, butthat is only when airborne! During take off, frame rate drops a little, butI could live with that. But as soon as the a/c touches down, fps drops to 1or 2, and of course everything ends there! That happens every time,especially when using PMDG 737NG, or any other add on aircraft. Hello there,I have microsoft flight simulator 2004. Im currently attending a tech school to be an aircraft mechanic. I would like a plane that has a very realistic cockpit. I tried the Captain Sim 727. I was impressed with the detail in it but i did not like the way they had the views set for the overhead panels and second officer panel. The view was looking at it from an angle so you could not read the switch lables and had to move your mouse over each switch to see what it did. I found it very annoying. Is there any other add on aircraft that has highly detailed panels like the captain sim 727 but with better views of them??Thanks,Sam

Hi all,HardOCP today released their review of the new GF-FX 5950. What is most interesting to me here is not the review of the card itself, but the use of FS2004 as one of the benchmarks... In particular, their methodology in testing different cards and the Image Quality comparison using FS9.I think Brent did a credible job trying to keep the settings comparable between runs, as well as picking a fairly representative area to bench (comments?). Heres the story-I set up the weather for a quick hop from MVY to LGA to be pretty dreary. Cieling 500ft, 2 mi vis, moderate rain, etc. I placed the Dynamic weather slider firmly in the "None" posistion. I used the option for all weather stations when I entered in my weather.So I'm cruising at about 8000 ft in long island sound and I check the ATIS at LGA and it's as I set it. About 25 miles out I check it again-same thing. Heres where it gets strange. I'm about to intercept the RWY22 ILS and I check the weather a final time and to my astonishment it's all clear at La Guardia! I have been simming since the first sim and the arrival of a new simulator was always a joy. Not with FS2004!I spent more time trying to fix this game than flying. I read everything related to FS9 on different forums and I tried a lot of suggestions to improve the game.I changed my video card... small improvement. Here's a question for the AFCAD geniuses out there. I've been tweeking my KSJC on AFCAD to get the correct gate radii set up etc. and the quickest way to do that was to start with a RAFCAD file done by someone else. However, runway 30L was not the new improved length, so I stretched it and re-applied the localizers. I took all the details from the old file first.Now, when I fly an AP approach to this runway, as soon as I intercept the localizer, the AP turns the plane around and flys FROM the bearing, not TO it. Hi Everyone:)Unsure if this is a problem related to just my install of the Seneca or others.I have this installed in both FS2002 & FS2004 and get the same response when intercepting the localizer for a ILS approach.Once the Seneca begins to intercept the localizer, I switch on the approach switch which would cause heading hold to turn off but leaves the Altitude hold on.Normally the Alt. hold will remain on until the Glide Slope is intercepted.In the case with this aircraft the Alt. hold turns off once the Approach is activated causing the pilot to manually fly the plane until the GS is intercepted.Anyone who has this aircraft for either of the two F.S. advise if they…
