Hi allI have just got myself a new ATI Radeon 9600 pro video card as I am not a computer guru could someone tell me what the best driver for fs 2004 would be my system is an AMD 2600 with 512 ram thanks for any help regards to all Michael

hi,I recently had (2mb downstream/256k upload) cable installed and I think it's great, I installed a router in between the modem and the computers so I could "split" the connection and would like to know which ports fs2004 uses for multiplayer so I can tell the router to let traffic coming in and out of those ports through?Andrew

off the bat, i don't have deep knowledge of "messin' with scenery", and i've tried to install "STMaartenstncm.zip" but, when i go to fs' library/ scenery it's not there only "TNCM", and the author said to look for "stmarrtens" to add to the scenery library. i had first tried unzipping WITHOUT 'use folder names" . that didn't work, so i unzipped 'WIth folder names" to a temp folder and moved that folder[titled TNCM] to fs scenery. so, anyone using this scenery, and, if so , where did i fail? thanks, tt

Primary Question: I just purchased the PSS Airbus 340-300. Great plane and I highly recommend it so far. Documentation is extensive and I am READING THE MANUALS. So far the only puzzle that I have not been able to figure out is how to successfully import FS9 flightplans which work on the FMC. There are default plans which were loaded with the program that work perfectly. Plans originated from scratch seem to work fine including after they have been saved. All waypoints are named. The presentation is very similar to that of the PSS 747 and 777 or the DF737 FMC's. However; the FS9 imported plans, whether originated from fsnav and exported to FS9, or FS9 FlightPlanner origin…

I have been trying to put the concorde into Cof and find a problem during takeoff. When adding throttle the aircraft tracks straight down the runway but as soon as you add afterburners she starts to turn to right so you have to add left rudder. Any idea what entry in the ?.cfg you could change to correct this?Thanks Guys?

Hello,I am looking for a good soundcard for FS2004 which does not give problems with Windows XP. I have been recommended the Audigy 2 card, but I have found out elsewhere that this sound card gives problems on a Windows XP system in the form of freeze-ups etc.Any alternatives? Hello,In FS2004, I added an ai flightplan into Narsarsuaq, and I noticed that the plane flew into the terrain while on approach for runway 25. I followed a few other default flightplans at this airport, and they all flew into the terrain at some point. Is there any way to avoid this? I hate to arrive at Narsarsuaq and see the place littered with crashed ai aircraft.

I haven't seen any post re this matter, although I have downloaded some films. Let me elucidate, Myself and some friends in my Yahoo community make small films and animations, just for fun. I want to include a piece of film of a take off in FS2002. Now I know how to do this in FS2002 but it gets saved as some wacky media format that I don't recognise and Windows Film Maker doesn't recognise.The question is, Do I need some specific software for the conversion over to an avi file or am I just missing a really simple solution?Wycliffe

The first two planes I put in FS9 went in, I found & flew them, butsince then they never show up, and can't find them to fly them.Even the simple drag & drop a folder in , don't seem to ever get there....Any idea what might be wrong, or what I need to do to fix?Thank you EddieW

My system crashes about 5 minutes after loading the YS-11. What happens is my monitor shuts off. You can stll hear the airplane idling. Sometimes the monitor comes back on but there are big time artifacts. The 9700pro is not o/c'd. The XP error reporting system thinks its a problem with the ATI driver. It does it with CAT 3.8's and the 3.9's. This is the only a/c it happens with. Any ideas?

Hi all,I've just downloaded the fs2004 patch for Fanda's dash 8. Nice, probably one of the best examples of freeware panels out there.However, one problem is that small movements on my joystick throttle can have an adverse reaction in the torque! Sometimes when coming into land, I drop the throttle a bit and the torque falls below flight idle into beta range. I think it's the thottle control that makes it such a hard plane to land - falls out of the sky when I try to flare. It was a problem in fs2002 as well.Now whilst other planes are easy to control (probably due to slow throttle reaction), I think it could be hardware related. I have a Saitek ST110 joystick plugge…

I wonder how many of you are still able to use the last dreaded sim from microsoft. At this point I'm sure something went wrong with this product. I own a mid-to-high end system, with a spanking brand new 256mb radeon 9800pro (my greatest waste of money so far.) I have a good knowledge of both hardware and software. I've spent the last two months tweaking my system, and the sim. I've probably had one or two satisfactory flights out of a hundred. I thought it should continue to do TNG's until the time alotted was up and then it would land and park until the next start.Any help appreciated as alway's.Thank's

I am so mad with my computer right now! My configuration is:1.3 Ghz IntelVia MotherboardGeforce FX 5200 PCI 128 megDirect X 9.0b510 Meg Ram40 gb hard driveI just cant seem why I am getting 1 fps. No matter what settings I do in FS, it still stays the same once I give the plane full throttle. Also, I have no clue on what settings my graphics card should be at. Whenever I try to use the GPS in the A330 panel from Helio Estrela, it always shows up really tiny, I try to resize it and it still doesnt get any bigger, I tried to edit the panel.cfg and tell it to make the GPS bigger but still no luck, anyone help me out here? Thats It, I have had absolutely enough of the FS2004 weather ruining flights. I can not beleive that, this excuse for real world weather ever got out the door. I have Just wasted yet again 6 hours, to have my plane thrown into a spin becuase of the weather going from one extream to another. I have FSUPIC Reged, i have tried all the weather addons, but to no avail. I have completly lost all Intrest in this now, and thats it. 6 hours of our short life is no joke, to keep wasting, because MS cant even get this right.How can weather go from 180/56 to 318/100 to 50/21 to 90/0 to 0/0 to 121/120 in the space of about 20 seconds.....And another thing its always with the PSS buses…

I realize this is not strictly fs9 business but it is connectedinsofar as I only use my computer for fs9.anyway here`s the problem ,when Ichoose to go back to a previously created restore point all I get is a message saying that I cannot go back to this restore point I`ve tried all the points I have allocated and the answers always the same.What am I doing wrong and how can I put it right. I`ve tried the helpsystem but no joy can someone help me please.thanks eric

IT appears that the only way I can start engines in FS2004 is to do the auto start using ctrl E or hit the auto start on the panel. When I try to do it manually I get up to about N2 of 22% and the engines don't fire up. I have the engine start levers in idle. What am I doing wrong?Thanks!Airbus
