At Schiphol, I can't get ATC to give me runway 24, even with a hurricane blowing from 240 it will always give me 27. Does anyone have any idea why this is (particularly as 24 was the ONLY runway along with 06 that I could get in FS2002) and how I can persuade ATC otherwise?This may sound like a silly problem, but at Schiphol some runways are only used for take-off and others for landing, and ATC frequently comes up with a runway that would never be used in real life or, worse, is unpractical even in FS2004 (try taxiing to 06, for instance).Thanks,Leo Bakker

Hi,At one moment, yesterday, I noticed that all of my AI planes have disappeared from FS2K2. I've done no serious changes. I only installed some new airports and mesh sceneries.My AI traffic % = 100, aswell as in FS2k@ as in the fs2002.cfg file.Has anyone dealed with this problem. Please help me, it's so quiet in the world without AI.

For those of you familiar with the Las Vegas airport operations, what are the normal takeoff and landing runways? Does the wind direction and speed have anything to do with runway assignments? Under what conditions do aircraft use 1R/1L and 19L/19R?During taxi why won't ATC allow me to use 1R or 1L when the wind clearly favors the use of those runways?Thanks!Airbus

hello, i need to get a 737-600 into FS2004 to use for SAS. i downloaded the 737-600 paintkit from PAI and then the SAS 736 texture then when i use the MRAI installer to install the textures it doesnt have the 736 in the list. can someone help?adamYou cant truley understand flying until you have actually tasted and felt it.

Yeah, okay, a bit dramatic, but....If you are flying Mike Stone's C-130 and any of Geoff Chamber's repaints, then to complete the aircraft, you need sounds!!! And just as a reminder... If you have not downloaded Mike Hambly's sound set for the C-130, you need to! It was written for FS2002 but works just as well in FS 2004. Hi,I'm looking for accurate fuel performance data for Boeing 757-200 equipped with PW2040 engines. A table that has fuel consumption for different phases of flight at different flight levels is what I'm looking for. The Eurocontrol BADA file is a good reference, but it is for the RR RB211-535C engines, which have ~ 4000lbs less thrust than the PW2040.The use will be the creation of an accurate flight simulator performance file, which will be used in a home cockpit 757 full flight simulator.I would appreciate any help at all in this matter, because the creation of an accurate 757 FDE is very important for our project.Thank you.Best regards,Tero PartanenOulu, Finland

I just installed my new FX 5200 graphics card.put all settings to high every thing looked great but!! no cockpit view, all i have is a black box were the panel should be. When a move my mouse over the black box i get the little helper boxes but no panel. all other views work find. This is in all the aircraft. Is there something i'm missing as far as setting up the graphic card

My copy of FS2002 keeps crashing - sometimes to desktop, sometimes bringing the entire system down. Generally happens after 3-5 minutes into a flight. See that a lot of scenery files require these. So, some questions I've yet to find an answer to:1. Where can I get them?2. Are they freeware?

I have yet to find an "insider" web site for FS9. Microsoft didn't take long to create them for FS2K2 and the CF series - to support and nuture customers and 3rd party developers.Am I going blind in my "old age", or am I missing something?Thanks!!!!

Ok I just installed the 1.3 version. Now working.....again. When I got to slelect my 310 it hangs while loading the plane. If I go to my desktop at that time I see on the taskbar that MS is running and a Copy Protection task is running. What is going on now?

Hi,I usually fly IFR flight plans. I observed that the GPS database contains a lot of STAR procedures with multiple transitions. The problem is that, even with a specific STAR activated on the GPS, the ATC does not vector me according to the STAR. How do I reconcile both, ATC and GPS STAR procedures ?Thanks for answers.Alain

I have a question concerning Ultimate Traffic and AFCAD's.As it stands for FS2004, Ultimate traffic is currently using Default parking for the airports. Since the number of flight plans is usually much higher than the number of parking spaces, the airports look half empty, but there is a nice general ebb and flow in the traffic of ALL the airports.I just got done adding approx 40 to 50 AFCAD's in the US and Canada.Immediately, the traffic in all the AFCAD enabled airports is nearly doubled or tripled. Which is good. But now all this traffic that appears at the AFCAD airports kills my frame rate...Which is bad.Now if I dial back traffic slider, I can get the AFCAD airpo…

I don't know if this will help anyone else that is having problems with the sim pausing and stuttering but I have found something that helped to smooth mine out tremendously. I was having a lot of stutter and pausing and a lot of hard drive chatter so I hit ctl alt del to see what was hogging my memory and there it was, mixer.exe was using 118 megabytes of memory. I thought that this was insane so I did some checking and found that this program is for my C Media onboard sound card which I disabled a couple of months ago when I put an Audigy 2 in my computer. I went into msconfig and disabled mixer.exe under the startup tab, rebooted the computer and fired up FSCOF. I gain…

Every time I print the NAV log for a flight I intend to take, my screen resolution in FS9 changes to something much less (the picture does not fit on the screen any more). I try to then start the intended flight I planned & the program will not load. Then I always have to close the program out & relaunch it. Then everything comes up with the usual 1024X768 16 bit resolution I usually use & all works normal again. Anyone know why this keeps happening to me only when I try to print a NAV log?Thanks.Chris Catalano
