I just started using some add-on 737's the other day. I am using the FFX model with various repaints. The ReadMe says the flight model was done by Erick Cantu.I have no experience whatsoever about the flight characteristics of a real 737. What I have noticed, though, is this add-on seems to be handling totally different on landing from most all other aircraft I have messed with.This might be "real" and I need to take my flightsimming to another level, which is fine, but I would like to know from others if what I am seeing is "normal"...When I am on descent, especially after catching the glidescope, I seem to be in a fairly unusual nose down attitude. For those of you that use multiple monitors for panels/gauges, could you post the type of additional pci cards your using,main vid card type and if you have, or do not have the stutter. I'm trying to possibly draw some conclusions. I have it, using a MX100 and MX400 with a matrox parhelia for the main display. Perhaps an answer will become clear. thanks--jeff

hello all,using fs2002, i would like to change the King Air start up sound.the current sound is what i call the soft start, and would like to change to the turbine whine sound.both are in the sound folder, but i can't find a way to get it to select the turbine sound.can anyone help?thanksdan

Hi,Still trying real hard to not uninstalling FS9 from the HD. ;-)One of the many negative reasons is the endless graphic tweaking...For example: Why is it that I can adjust the Mip Map bios only with aircraft without alpha layer? On aircraft with an alphalayer, there are jaggies on the livery lines, but not on the aircraft without alphalayer. I have installed his new for 2004 Md11 panel and the panel is all black around the gauges. I have no cockpit view unless I move the panel around. Has anybody have a idea what I have done wrong?

I have an old GeForce2 MX/MX 400. Whenever I try to run FS2004 in widowed mode I get this error message "This adapter cannot render 3D graphics in this windowed mode. Changing your desktop settings may enable it to do so". My screen res is set at 1280 by 1024 pixels and 32 bit color. Am I getting this message because I am using such an old graphics card or can this be fixed? I am using the 45.23 drivers for my card. Last night, I got some new cloud textures, and didn't back up my texture folder. I really didn't like the cloud textures, and I want back the default. Does anyone know where I can get the default textures back, or can anyone send me an e-mail with the default textures at [email protected] If anyone can, I'd apprieciate it.

I recently loaded a couple of foreign carriers to MSFS2004 to make my AI traffic look a little more realistic. The default carriers that come with MSFS2004 were removed. The setup went well and the new carriers were quickly visible. The ATC used their correct identification without any problems. The problems come when the airplanes takeoff. The moment the aircraft (in this case Air France) lifts off, the Sim displays to wrong aicraft id (Nxxxx) instead of maybe (Fxxxx) or whatever the appropriate letter is. Has anyone had this problem. I thought the letter N was used to id US registered aircraft. Am I missing something here?

Hi All,I just loaded the An-24RV and it really looks great. The cockpit is especially realistic as well as interesting. Here's my problem:Whenever I press a key on the keyboard, my screen freezes and I have no choice but to press the restart button on my computer. It happened so far with F7, +, G and so on. If I don't press any keys, I can fly the plane.I uninstalled the plane and then re installed it but the results were the same.I've instaled many addon planes and have never had this problem before.Does anyone have any ideas?Thanks in advance... I have this strange problem with fs9. Whenever I start up fs9 I get a dialog box saying "Cannot find MS Flight Simulator registry tree. Are you sure it was installed correctly" with the header for "Mag Var Init". Now I've seen other people, not many, having this problem also, and I was wondering if anyone else have had this, and if they solved it. What they have narrowed it down to is, maybe, something about some textures that they fooled around with, just like me. The funny thing is that fs9 seems to run fine.To me it looks like a program that wants to start but cannot find the fs9 or fs2002 registry tree. Could it be a module?

hi all,im a newbi here,great site.ive been using fs2002 for 1 year now(brill)recently got a new graphics card winfast a310 fx 5600with 256 ram on it.fantastic improvment in picture quality etc but im still only getting 15-20 fps for instance when at a complex airport,scenery heavy.most sliders are high,a few maxed out.i may be asking too much,as a lot of the time its around 25+ fps.ive never seen anyone elses machines or them using fs2002 so i cant compare.compaq 6000 series p4 2.4 ghz512 p.c memorywinfast a310 cardrunning fs2002 in 1024x768 32im no p.c expert!!!regards mike

I remember in FS2002, the exterior (wing, tail, fuselage) identity lighting (please help me with the proper terminology!) flashed randomly on all visible aircraft. This made night flying very realistic, because AI traffic in the distance appeared very real.Now, in FS2004, the lighting on all planes in view flash at exactly the same rate and in unison. The odds of this, in the real world, would be pretty long.Anyone know if this can be changed/regulated/randomized in FS2004?

Hi all,After reading all the good opinions about UT on this forum, I am seriously considering purchasing it. Before I do, I have two basic questions;1) Do I need a registered version of FSUIPC in order to run UT ? Will the freeware version be sufficient ?2) I have installed PAI and several of their airlines on my FS2004. I installed Editvoicepack and Framework to update my callsigns. Everything went fine, the callsigns were updated.I de-installed both Editvoicepak and Framework. The callsigns are ok. FS2004 runs ok, except it does not seem to read and apply some of the BGL files that are in ADDON SCENERY including the Afcad Bgl files which I created and which I have been using.It's a BIG mystery. I would appreciate any thoughts and of course your help.Thanks.Abe

I've recently been trying to incorporate an ACS GPS gauge into a couple of my aircraft panels in fs2002 Pro, and have now lost the sound from one, and the complete panel and sound from the other. Both sound files are simple .cfg alias links to the usual b737-400 default sound folder, and the panel is an alias link to my fsfsconv directory.The sound files work ok when loading the default 737-400 aircraft, and I've checked that the the fsfsconv directory contains the panel bitmaps and cfg file. All looks ok, but ther alias links don't seem to function anymore.Can anyone tell me what I've done, and point me in the right direction for putting things right?Losing the panel I…

I have V3.9 Cat drivers and control panel for FS9The panel has a tab for "Smart Shader Effects" with about 7 different options. I have mine set for "NO Effect" by default.Does anyone know how this could be set to optimize the flight sim
