Hi, a problem I have had several times in a row now (never before though): when landing my Meljet 744 with PSS panel, it jumps up and down on the runway!! My actual touchdown is picture perfect, perfectly stabilised on the LOC and GS already since 7 miles out, and my config is flaps 30, speed is as indicated/calculated by the FMS; I switch off ATHR once on the ground and then reverse thrust. Everything perfect, it's just after I touch down and reverse the engines that it starts jumping up and down.I have used one of the mergle files from this forum to merge the Meljet with the PSS panel.Could the reason be:- retard too late- ATHR should remain switched on- weight (althoug…

I have a weird issue with the new Jamaica scenery that was listed on Avsim's front page.I've downloaded Gerrish Gray's trees like the readme says and installed it. I seem to be getting these ugly white wall looking things around most of Grand Cayman and Montego Bay. I see Gerrish's trees so I dunno what is supposed to be there in place of the white wall.Can anyone help me? I had a few reports of the sounds not properly working in my Pushback gauge (file rcbgh-32.zip). These problems are:- Sounds starting too late, or not at all.- Garbled sounds- Sounds being chopped off prematurely.It appears these systems have a problem with my gauge starting several sounds at the same time. So, what might help to solve this:Delete the following files from the sound folder:- rcb_soundxml06_O.wav (the clicksound)And if that doesn't help:- rcb_soundxml10_L.wav (the Parking Brakes attention sound)And if that doesn't help:- rcb_soundxml08_L.wav (the aircraft roll sound)If still no success, I'm really out of options.Regards, Rob Barendregt

Guys, I reached a momentous occasion last night for me. I flew my 1001st simulated hour in MSFS. This basically represents 1000 sessions for me... I personally fly GA, or regional/mid range commercial jets plus vintage airliners, usually in the afternoon timeframe into early evening. This 1000 hours took me 2 years of flying basically every day. Given my extremely busy business and family life, I am lucky to take an hour here and there for a simulated flight. I do this just to zone out and relax from the day. My usual flight is about an hour. On the front page of avsim they are announcing a new scenery package that includes Sangster International (MKJS) and includes the missing ILS from FS2002, Norman Manley (MKJP) and Owen Roberts Intl (MWCR)Has anybody been able to get to the site? How does the scenery look? I would like to see this scenery but havent been able to get to the site at all.

Finally got round to downloading this fantastic airplane, however like everybody who has first tried it...Im having problems. Where can I find documentation on how to fly this airplane? In particular how to operate the engines and navigation systems?I rooted around on the AFG site and couldnt find any documentation and I didnt see any in the base pack download.ThanksEric

I have a question. When I try to set/change the NAV1 radio to capture an ILS approach with the new POSKY 757-200 panel (by L. Payne), the frequency does not change. I am assuming that the NAV1 radio is on the main panel, since it is not listed in the radio stack panel. When I click the mouse to change the frequency by + or -, it has no effect. How can I change the NAV1 radio frequency? This is a great panel. The features are amazing...but I would really like to use ILS when landing. Please don't look at this as a harsh criticism to Avsim or the great freeware contributors, but the aircraft library is getting almost impossible to browse through for us unfortunate souls who still have 56k dial up. The problem as I see it is that for there are about 30 or so versions of the same aircraft (repaints) you have to browse through to get to the next original aircraft. Can't some of these aircraft be moved to the repaint section or perhaps a new section created to accomodate them? I hope the creators of these aircraft don't take offense to this post, their long hours of hard work is greatly appreciated.

I was flying out of Boston to Halifax at around 12:00 pm local time with about 10 PAI airlines installed. I was flying smoothly at about 24 FPS when all of a sudden my FPS dropped to 3-6 FPS. Then a ton of vapor trails appeared on the screen and the controller was issuing commands so fast I could barely understand what she was saying. I took this screenshot to show you. I posted and asked for help on the megascenery and no one was avail.Basically the scenery will look clear as you takeoff and fly and then it really degrades and becomes awfully blurry. I had edited my fs9.cfg to the recommendations of the fs2004 tips and trick posted in this forum. I have to keep changing from extended textures to non extended and back to extended. This is really frustrating because the website says if your fs2004 works fine with default scenery it should be fine with megascenery, hence no hardware upgrade. That isn't the case at least for me. It works okay with flying cessnas and other slower aircraft, but with airliners which I fly most of the time…

Hi!I have set the zoom factor for the VC to 0.65 into the FS9.cfg .With all aircrafts, if I switch to virtual cockpit, the displayed zoom factor is allways 0.5 . This is too wide and give a "fish eye" effect.Question: Where do this zoom factor come from ?? Any help appreciated!Jean-Claude (LSZH)

I have a runway in Beirut that is not allowed for landings because it is too close to the mountains.Yet, the ATC is still directing AI traffic to do VFR landings on it!As a result of the mountains, the AI traffic is refusing to descend, so the ATC keeps repeating "please expedite your descent to 5,100".As a result, the AI traffic are doing kamikaze landings and touch down on the runway extremely hard. The funny thing is because they touch down so hard, they disappear instantly beneath the runway!Is this a bug in AFCAD2 or what? This is really annoying....Regards

Is there a big difference say from 2x AA to 4x AA? I noticed with my 9700pro, the higher the value, the more it stutters? I've also heard people leave AA and AF off? Could someone also give a dirty rundown of what AA and AF are controlling in FS9?<-- has radeon 9700pro with 3.9 cats

The way it's set up now the logo light and the taxi light comes on when you turn on the nav lights. Is there a way to change this so the logo light and taxi light come on when you turn the landing lights on instead?

Guys,What deos these value mean in the aicraft.cfg file under the flight tuning section?The original value are 1.0. What are the effect of changing 1.0 to higher value o lower value?I hope yo guys could advise me as I'm trying to tune my landing problem in my B737-400.Thank you in advance for your kind attention and help!

I love this plane it's truly a masterpiece of art, function, performance. FYI: there is some sort of conflict between Powerstrip though, so you will need to unload Powerstrip. When you use hot keys to change graphic settings, as you can with PS, there is some obvious hangs happening and FS becomes a superslide show.Cheers,Noel
