My new Dell is on the way and I can finally upgrade to FS9. I plan to keep FS2002 for some of the older addons that are a must have (like 767PIC).My question is this:For those addons that work in both FS2002 and FS2004 what is the best way to install them. Do you do it twice or just install in one folder and then reference to it ? I suspect this is the plan for scenery but probably does not work for Aircraft.thanks,Mark.

I don't know if this has been posted before.............If you have installed the VPN Beta 13 or VPN 14us addon (This makes the Kneeboard into a web browser that you can use while flying) I have found that it places an uninstall.exe in the FS9 folder.Unfortunately it overwrites the FS9 program of the same name.What this means is that if you need to uninstall FS9,clicking on "Uninstall" only removes the upgraded Kneeboard leaving FS9 untouched and with no way of doing a clean uninstall.I found this by accident when I tried to uninstall a second copy of FS9 I had on another partition.Does anyone know on which FS9 Disk and in which Zip folder the "uninstall./exe" is …

Is there any solution? AI is waiting for takeoff, 2 aircrafts are on final.. and after 4-5mins AI disappear.. I hate it.. Why did MS changed it.. 10min would be fine but 5???? ehhh..Jacek

Hello everyone,Just received my new Nvidia FX 5600 card last night, 256M RAM, 8x AGP, and installed it into my Dell 2.4G, 1G RAM machine. My initial results are good but not as good as I had expected. Image quality is definately a lot better, and FS9 runs much more smoothly (stutters are basically gone, at least for now). However, my frame rates are essentially the same as they were under my old Nvidia Geforce 440 MX card w/ 64M RAM, unless I run without 3d clouds. Somehow, I was hoping that going from 64M to 256M and from a DX7 to a DX9 card would show improvements in all areas, not just in looks. I'm running the 52.16 drivers.What tweaks and settings should I look …

Hi everyone,I am having a problme with the new 53.16 drivers from nvidia. I'm using a Ti4200 and I had a problem with AA like everyone else, before 52.13. Those drivers solved the problem for me, but gave me another one. While I can already check out the kneeboard while flying with 2x AA, I cannot scroll down. The only part of the kneeboard that scrolls down is a small portion on the lower part of it. This also happens with FS Nav, on the flight plan window. Only the lower part scrolls down, while almost everything else stays on the top. Looks like only the lower part is redrawn.Is anyone else having this problem? DId you solve it? How?Help appreciatted.

I am flying FS2002 with 767 PIC.I have an Hercules Readeon 9500 Pro graphic card and updated to last version 3.9.After I updated my system to XP Home Edition, I noticed a framerate drop on FS2002. The whole thing is now shuttering.... why that?I had the same settings on FS2002 as before on Windows ME...Any help?Alex LSZH

HelloI have two soundcards in my machine - SBLive and Audiophile (Professional Card). Audiophile gives me sound problems in FS2004, but everything else is peachy and it has better sound (and I'm working with that card). For that reason, I would like to have Audiophile as default in windows BUT force FS2004 to use SBLive. Does anyone know how to set that?ThanksKosta

Guys,During final approach with both AP an AT engaged. APPR mode activated.Approach speed: AT eagged to set the speed at 122 IAS/flap 40/gear down and with APPR mode engaged.I'm taking about a perfect ILS/GS profile here towards the rumway!)As a normal practice, at 300 feet above runway, I first disengaged AT and the follow by APPR mode.The PROBLEM: The moment the APPR mode disengaged, my B73-400 ptich up violently and stalled the aircraft which can't be recovered and crashed onto the runway.The QUESTION is: Why is that in fs2k4, disengaged APPR mode in such stage could resulted the aircraft to lose control? Hello guys,Even my computer is not one of the "tops" (see specs below), I consider it a pretty good machine to run FS2K4. I always run FS2K4 @ 25-30 FPS with a few exceptions with most sliders maxed.I installed the awesome iFDG MD-11 (Varig new color livery) and this plane makes my computer cry!!! When flying this bird I have the sceneries and other AI planes with blur textures. Also, after changing the camera, the textures of some segments of the fuselage is not shown (mainly the tail and the cockipit segment).My FPS drop from 25-30 to 12. I have been using XP for a couple of weeks and like it. But, I cannot get it to accept an upgrade to any of the Nvidia drivers. In fact, the Nvidia Driver package does not show up in the add/remove program list. But, it shows as one of the 29xx series of drivers in Diagdx. btw, I have an NVidia Ti4200 video card.One more XP question while I have the attention of any techies:...is there a way to get into Safe Mode as one could do in earlier Windows OS? I figured out somewhere that my P4 2.4 with 533 MHz of FSB was being successfully overclocked to a stable 3.0-3.2 GHZ with stock cooling.I wanted to try this out too. Where should I start? I know how to change the CPU clock speed in the BIOS, but is that the only thing I should change? What about voltage? When should I change it?I remember one day I tried changing one of these settings and my system wouldn't boot up, I had to manually set the jumpers to reset the factory CMOS settings. Don't know why, but very unstable, nothing added in the way of improved performance or capability, since trying 3.8 and 3.9. I have weird crashes in FS, VPU recover activates, loss of sync on my Sony GDM-F520. None of this happened with 3.7s on back. Any other Granite Bayers with similar issues? I used the Uninstall utility prior to installing new drivers, which went without a hitch.Noel
