Sorry to post here, but I figured it might actually get answered.I want to upgrade my ram, but my computer specs say that the maximum I can go is 1 gig. I want to know if this means two 512 meg cards or is it locked at 1 gig and I can only go to one 512 and one 256. Just not sure how exact that 1 gig max is. Any help would be appreciated. Just trying to get the most out of FS9.BTW... I am useing XP home which I believe will accept 1 gig.Thanks Scott

I have an PIII 800 G4 128 mb card machine that I will be replacing with a more powerful machine for FS2004. Just a thought...would both machines new and the old one have enough power to run 2 views in FS2004?I believe I heard multi-viewing is only as good as your weakest machine...in other words would the 800 machine bog down too much?I also think there is a web-site that serves as a resource for this..can anyone post the link for me.Thanks all.

Hi,I would like to know some impressions about the flight model of Extra 300s in FS2004. I'm not a real pilot but I've seen some videos of acrobatic flights and I compared FS9 version with FS2002 one. I think FS2002 is MUCH more realistic: for example with FS2K2 I cant taxi perfectly with Extra, but I can reach the runway; with FS9 it is impossible for me to reach the runway: I crash after only few meters!!! Even in flight I think the behaviour is not goot.What do you think? Is there any pilot that can confirm? Or it's me that has no hope to become a virtual pilot?ByeMario

Hello GangI am using an Asus GeForce 4 Ti4600, on a Dell PIV 2.53Ghz.Using NVidia 52.16WhqlI notice a TON of polygon flickering, especially when I am outside the plane view. The flickering is not only on the plane, but the clouds etc.Is it the drivers I am using, as I did see it on a couple of other games as well.Any thoughts ?Tks !K

My computer decided to destrot all my FS9 files this morning. I have since reinstalled. However, I cannot get Project AI to work. Can someone please send me a link to the PAI Installer v2.0 ?I can't find it ANYWHERE on their website! Greetings!I'll admit right off the bat that I screwed-up. Due to my extreme excitement at getting the Ultimate Traffic 2004 upgrade, I failed to remember to remove a certain file from the modules directory when installing it. Files were corrupted and FS2004 won't start now. In order to get it going again, I've got to re-install the modules files from the installation disc. The modules files are on Disc 2 (FS_DISC2(D:) in what appears to be the MSGAME3.cab file. I've located them, but I'm having trouble expanding them to another folder. Would someone please take a look at my DOS syntax and tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing? I keep getting this message: "can'…

Hello,I have a problem with sound in FS9 (sometimes it also occured in FS2002).If I change view, for example from "cockpit view" to "spot plane view", and back, then the voices become distorted. The speed of the sound becomes slow, so that the voices become deep and sound like they are spoken by a robot or a monster. The more I change views, the worse the voices become. Eventually it becomes impossible to hear what ATC is saying, and I exit Flight Sim.Is the only solution to buy a new sound card, and which one should it be? Or is there another way? Hi All-I can't seem to get a response from the appropriate forum site, so I thought I'd throw this out here to possibly find someone who can help. I'm absolutely loving this bird, but I've discovered some things I'm unclear on: 1. When setting barometric pressure in Kohlsman, I cannot get all the values. If I need 29.93 I can only get 29.92 and 29.96 for example. In other words, I can not dial in single digit changes. 2. As of now, I am NOT doing the "cold and dark" start. When extending my Taxispeed gauge with a automatic Brake function, I run into the following problem.Try the following:1.- Start a flight in FS2004. - Set the parking brakes.- Press a toebrake pedal once.Are the parking brakes released now automatically ??(IMHO they shouldn't)2.- Start a flight in FS2004. Is it me or does the Posky 757 FDE need a little work??? In a regular decent the aircraft doesn't seem to lose enough speed when throttles are cut back. I was coming in for an approach the other night and couldn't get the speed down to 245kts without deploying speed brakes. Once the air brakes were detracted the speed climbed back up over the redline in excess of 250kts under 10,000ft. Deploying flaps 1 in a decent to keep speed down results in an unrealistic angle of attack during a decent. Speed brakes also cause too much of an adverse effect when deployed to even risk using them unless extremely necessary (nose pitches up drastically and falls back when you close …

I'd like to start writing my own modules in Flight Simulator. So farmy searches have not provided much information other than the 2000 SDKfiles. Does anyone know of any sites with examples about writing modules ina language like c or cpp that could point me in the right direction?

Hello,I fly on P4 2.4 Gh, 1 Gig Ram , Vid GF4 TI4600, XP Pro SP1, FS9.More and more often when taxiing, flying the game freezes in spot view during a few seconds , the primary monitor flashes, the aircraft rebuilds totally black (see screen shot, not easy to take the screen shot at the right moment) and the textures/colours appairs again (see next screen shot)and the scenery is again OK. Hello all,I've tried not to embarass myself. Searching for tutorials that would answer this perplexing question. But now I must expose my ignorance.I have made many repaints for other sims but have not seen this oddity before. Most if not all the .bmp files that make up the aircraft textures won't open as .bmp files they appear to be all black. Some of the 3rd party DL's are just regular .bmp files and appear just fine. Is there some basic utility for MSFS that is required to view and manipulate these files.Thanks in advance.McFly

Hey has anyone ever had this happen to you? All of a sudden, i have no right break control. Not only that, but when I select a keyboard or yoke button to control the right break, they don't work either? It's like my CH Pedals have corrupted any chance of turning my dc3 ;-)Thanks!Lance

Currently I use PAI. I am somewhat happy with it, but dont feel as though the airports are represented well enough. Im thinking about buying UT, but am not sure what the differences will be. What will UT bring to the table that PAI doesnt? Is it worth it? Also, is there a way to know if a AI plane is parked at the gate before you pick the start gate? Today I was at my saved gate at ORD (C26) and i loaded it up. There was a plane directely behind me. I couldnt pushback. Any advice?Brad

I have just got this scenery installed with all the patches and I am having a problem with some missing texture. I have all of the "standard" textures such as NOVA, VOD, etc. installed but I continue to get this error.
