I want to decide finally..Athlon64, athlon64 FX, or P4EEI'm thinking about fx or ee, but do I really need it? Will I get much better fps then on athlon 64?I can get athlon64 for around $400.. fx and ee costs about $800-900..:-eek For video card, I will go for radeon9800.I currently have athlonxp2100, geforce4ti4600..ThanksJacek

I have the registered Simflyers KLAX in FS2004. I used Matt's AFCAD2 that is at PAI. I am also using UT. All the AI planes are aligned OK with the gate centerlines. When I load any plane at any gate they are all aligned approximately 20

Dear ALl:Is there a software program for FS 2004 that is like Flight Deck Companion? It says in the ad that that program will only work with FS2002. In short, I would love to have checklists read aloud by the computor, announcements from the crew made (safety briefs for the passengers, etc.), basically - all the "ear candy" that would go with a 737 in real life. Is there such an add-on or a program for purchase for FS9?Thanks.Chris Catalano

It doesn't matter what plane I fly, large or small, on my landings I think I am lined up center, but seem to always touch down on the left side. Does any one have any tips on how to keep the plane lined up on the center line of the runway?Thanks!

Hi!Someone suggested to me a possible fix to the crashing problem many experience when running the F50 panel. I have passed this solution on to other users and some have reported back that this does infact fix the problem. I can't verify this myself, as I don't have a problem with the panel. I have some questions about AI in FS9. I obviously want planes at airports for realism. I downloaded project ai installers and packages. I have AFCAD too. With the sliders all the way to the right, ai barely seem to do anything. Few planes sit at the gates (a few UAL at ORD, but no AAL). I have both of those packages installed too. I went to ATL at rush hour and saw barely any traffic. There were delta jets at the gate, but no activity. And delta was the only carrier there. I then downloaded the uninstaller to get rid of default orbit, soar, ect planes. but they are still there. CVG had like 3 total planes, 1 delta. I have just acquired a new system with an Intel D865GBF 800 Mhz FSB mobo, Pentium 4 3.2 Mhz processor, 1 Mb 400 Mhz DDR RAM,NVidia FX5600 256 Mb video card and 200 Gb 7,200 rpm hard disk.It is easy to believe from what you read in formums and reviews that this little lot will have FS2004 screaming along with absolutely everything maxed out - but it won't.I don't care for frame rates but they are not increased by very much. Overall, the simulator is much smoother but when you are on the ground at a dense airport or airfield you will still see the odd bit of stuttering as you taxi around. I have been suffering crashes after about an hour of flying. Last night on final to Halifax after a nice dusk flight COF simply shuts off and bounces me to desktop. I was in a turn and as soon as ATC started to talk to give me directions, it stuttered a couple of times and crashed. COF does NOT try to restart and gives no error message. Immediately after the crash, other programs are very sluggish to load.I have tested my RAM with DocMem20 and it passes all tests. I have MotherBoardMonitor5 and my CPU and case temps are low, I have never seen the cpu exceed 40C during hard simming (IDK, maybe I've got the sensor set wrong as that seems low for hard working). Hello,I fly on a P4 2.4 Gh, 1 Gb RAM, 2 monitors attached to a GF4 TI4600, drive StarStorm 52.16. FPS mainly at 30 during flight.Since a few days when in SPOT View, when taxiing, flying the game freezes during 1-2 seconds on the primary monitor, the screen flashes, the scenery is reloaded, the aircraft is re-"build" in black (see screen shot attached, not easy to take the screen shot at the right moment) , the aircraft texture is re"loaded" and all is again normal (see screen shot).This can happen several times during the same flight ..but not systematically.It seams that the memory of the video card has to be re-loaded...In the screenshot on left side you see the seconda…

I run FS 2004 with all other applications closed, and no add ons. Yet after most flights, [using atc of course]long or short, and I cannot reproduce this, right on landing the following occurs:1. The frame rate drops from 20's to 22. Sound cuts out3. I cannot run FS 2004 without rebooting the computer completely, and I have to do this by turning it off as the restart function does not work.
