hi,I seem to have deleted (by mistake) a key command when I was assigning them to my joystick. I list the key commands while I am in FS2004 under "assignments" and the "F2" command (decrease thottle) is not listed their. The function works with my keyboard, but I can't assign it to my joystick. I am using a Microsoft joystick. Is there a way that I can "add" this function back to the list so I can assign this function to my joystick?Thanks,Tom

Here's an up-to-date file of my work. If you'd like to test it, you'll need to convert it to bmp, then import into imagetool and add mip maps. Save as 8 bit bmp and put into fs9texture (I needed to compress it to fit the size limitation).Tell me what you think. I tried to include oceanlike wave patterns, I'm not sure if I've succeeded. Also, on my PC I sometimes seem to get the wrong mip levels - but it's possible that there are infact different texture levels to simulate different wave height (larger offshore waves?). Not sure.Umm yea. I'm also working on the env_maps, but the results aren't perfect yet. Maybe I'll release something this weekend, don't know.Any feedback …

Hello,I hope this can help someone else if they see the same problem.Yesterday, for no apparent reason that I can find, BOTH of my sims (FS2002 and COF) would not load beyond the intro screens. They would crash to the dasktop.I finally made the assumption that they were crashing when the modules were being loaded. I unloaded BOTH my GOFLIGHT (I have a five component GOFLIGHT system) and my FSUIPC dll's and the related files. Lo and behold - both sims were now loadable. I replaced the GOFLIGHT and they worked fine. When I replaced the FSUIPC dll and its' files the crash was there again.I deleted the registration and cfg files for the FSUIPC and re-registered the EXE. Both …

I notice that in one of the files showing what the airport looks like after adding his scenery, the apron is lit up by alot of lights...I don't get this effect, any idea why this is. I must have missed installing a couple of files...could it be the spotlight and rwy lights?Thanks.

My current system is a AMD Athlon 1.3GHZ with 256 MB RAM and a Geforce 2 i can cope with this and it runs say PSS A330's very smoothly. I have discovered an old system recently which i can "borrow" the parts from is it possible to add a little more RAM to try and get a FS9 performance boost. Lee Swordy's AFCAD program is wonderful but now that it's released, we'll probably see Avsim's 38,000 library files to date go to 50,000 over the next week. Why? File upon file upon file for AFCAD.Don't get me wrong; it's all great work, and I never criticise freeware, but having installed hundreds of these files for FS2002 I just can't see myself doing it all again, file by file, for FS2004. It's like trying to build the Eiffel Tower with paper clips.Instead of everybody rushing to be the first to upload one airport each, would it not make more sense to sit back for a mo, think about it, and maybe create region by region or something? Does anyone know if the great CYHZ, CYYT and CYQM sceneries for FS2002 from Craig Steve Mosher work in FS2004?I know the afcad files won't work but I wonder if I can use the sceneries in cof? ... I miss those sceneries.Thanks for your answers,Danny

Two minutes after I fly out Hong Kong Airport (old or new), FS9 goes black and kicks me out to desktop. Other than MyTraffic and FSUIPC, I do not have any addons affecting flight in the area. Anyone run into anything similar?Thanks

Hey guy's! I tried the Fantastic scenry by a Japanese guy that made Kansai Intl and Narita Intl for 2002, Sorry fogot his name!? But has anyone got Narita intl To work good in FS2004? I tried it, but I get building crahes a few feet away, and I am on the taxi-way, it says Building crash, and Grass keeps bleeding throgh the Taxi-ways etc... Anyone got a fix or patch or seen the quthor make one for 2004?? As Kansai seems to be working OK, But need an AFCAD for it! OR if anyone knows which airlines park where at Kansai I will make an AFCAD Myself?? Thank's MIKE:)

Not sure if I have a problem or not. On a flight from Bahamas to Miami, I've got the newest water textures added, with water detail on. The water looks okay, but there is a dark circle, under my plane that follows me, inside the circle the water looks like normal texturing, not like what most screenshots look like. I'm trying to use it with FS2002 but I'm having some troubles. I think my troubles have more to do with the way FS2002 runs (or doesn't run) on my system. In a nutshell, when I try to fly FS2002 with pretty much any aircraft, FS2002 locks up constantly on me! It's completely random, but seems to occur when a lot is going on (opening or closing windows, switching views quickly or numerous times, sudden increases in scenery detail, or operating aircraft controls (gear, flaps, etc) or a combination of the above. It doesn't seem to matter which plane I'm flying at the time, but seems to happen more frequently with bigger or more complex aircraft (such Dream Wings Embra…

Just like to say a big thank you to Alain for coming out of retirement and making his great panel available for FS2004 for all of simmers to enjoy. His panel and plane are just great and I do appreciate his taking his time and effort into making it. Hi all,I have recently bought FS2002 as my computer wouldn't even look at 2004. My computer is only low spec compared to what people on here are running,2.0 AMD proccesor256 RAMGeforce 4 440 graphics 60Gb hard drive.Can anyone give advice on setting up for reasonable perfomance with acceptable graphics? I installed East midlands airport but had to remove it again as landing was impossible. Hope to increase Ram shortly and would seperate sound card help much?On another topic I have problems with auto pilots on certain aicraft only working in 10 deg increments. Why does MS continue to show rivers in the same blue hues as the ocean? :-hmmm Haven't they ever flown into St. Louis and seen the muddy brown Missouri and Mississippi rivers? Lakes, too, should be brown or greenish-brown. If MS could make the river water a different color than the ocean then we'd be even closer to As Real As It Gets!Steve Lewis, KCLE

There seems to be some controversy over the respective merits of MyTraffic 2004 and FS Traffic 2002 - someone on JustFlight forums saidof MT2004 "...if you look at some of the screenshots that they havemade avalible the quality of repaints is very poor, look at the AirFrance or even worse the UPS". (I know Just Flight makes FS Traffic, so may not be neutral in this!) What aboutand FS Traffic 2002? Is 2004 expected any time soon (though I use FS2K2)? Anyone got any strong views on this one way or the other on this?M.
