Hi,I've just downloaded the Lonny Payne 757 panel,posky_b757-200_panel.zip from Avsim. Its a great panel but I cannot get the NAV1 frequency to work. The 'plus/minus' icons appear but the numbers don't change. Is there anyone out there that has this panel and has experienced the same problem or found a solution, please let me know.ThanksMike

I am thinking about purcasing Ultimate Traffic (when it is released for FS 2004) but would like to use some of the freeware AFCAD stuff to test how ATC handles the load and what kind of an impact it will have on my system.Can someone please point me to the right files and maybe cookbook installation help?Thanks!Barry

Hi,I have just purchased a Saitek X45 joystick and have a couple of questions.1) I am trying to get the elevator trim to work using one of the rotary controls, I cant seem to get it to work any one got any idea?.2) Does anyone have a profile for FS2004 to use with this stick?CheersDan.

Hi Since I started to update my FS2002 scenery to FS2004, I will need to see a "true to life" busy traffic at my airport so I can adjust the AFD with AFCAD2 for precise parking and associate airlines with proper parking spots etc... I know that there are 2 commercial products : FS Traffic and Ultimate Traffic So can you please advise me wish one to buy. Can you please tell me what makes one or another worth to be bought? Ok, I've got FS9, I've downloaded improved (free) mesh (great!) now I'm thinking about some landclass additions for Europe and North/South America. However, thinking about it, I'm not sure if the addition of these items is worth it. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't landclass just tell the system where to put trees, buildings, fields etc? Now I can see the advantage if you are familiar with the area. However if you have never been there before (and have no idea of the local landscape) I'm not sure if landclass add-ons are worth the extra expense - I can't find many free landclass add-ons.Am I wrong? Am I making a big mistake?Victor

I can't believe it! I changed such a small thing on my computer and it makes such a huge difference. What is it, you may ask? sRGB - Standard RGB I simply changed my monitor to the sRGB setting (my monitor has one, yours may not) and added a sRGB color profile, under COLOR MANAGEMENT in display properties.Gone is the aqua water at night in the distance, it is now pitch black at night. Cities now look as they should at night (I kid you not!). Over water, on a moonless night, one cannot see anything out the window, not even clouds. Runway lights are no longer visible on a 15 mile final. The water/sky/clouds during the day are amazing and look more realistic.Is it possible t…

Pilots,Here's one for you, just got a new pc with a P4 3.0 ghz so plenty of power for FS9 however, this new machine (not yet tried) came with a Radeon 9200??128 mb graphics card. Now the system i am using now AMD 1.4 is using a G Force TI4200 128mb, which is the better card for FS9? By way have not got FS9 yet was waiting for the new pc to arrive. Any thoughts.thanksRB211

Is there a way to get a little bit lighter or should I say smaller touch down smoke in FS2004. I just think its to much, of course there is touh down smoke in the real world but as far as I have seen its not so much as in FS2004. Can anyone assist me. Suddenly I have lost all sound with the ATCin FS2002. It appears to react to my requests but without thesound. I have the avionics switched on plus all power as beforebut nothing. I have been using Logitec Wingman Extreme 3D for a few years now and the rudder facility has broken. I am looking to get a new Joystick. I am mainly interested in the Microsoft Sidewinder Joysticks. I am not that keen on force feedback. I mainly want precision and it has to have a rudder facility (twisting handle). Does anyone have any suggestions on which joystick I should buy???? I will mainly be using it for FS2004.

Anyone running with this combination??I have installed the Control Manager software as it seems mainly for the CH throttle (which I dont have). I enjoy my current setup with the USB yoke with the throttle/prop/mix levers.But, my question is this:Can I get one of the levers to operate FS9 flaps utilizing CH Control manager software?

I notice that when I am using real world weather tha FS9 does not fill in the blanks very well. For example last week New England had some impressive rainy, windy, low ceiling days. The metar data for each airport was fairly accurate, but once you get 10 miles away from a given airport it would clear up until I got close to the next airport with a Metar.Anyway to extend each airports metar data so that it overlaps or meets the next?

I've been flying some approaches in FS9 in the new POSKY 757 (using the stock 737 panel). I've noticed that engaging APP mode exhibits the annoying habit of disengaging ALT HLD and causing the nose of the plane to drop as it turns to intercept the localizer, even though the GS has yet to be captured (i.e. I am still well below the glideslope). The A/P continues to track the localizer just fine, but if the glideslope is not available for immediate capture, ALT HLD is incorrectly cancelled anyway and the nose is simply allowed to fall (or go whereever the trim would have it - which is generally "down" on an aircraft trimmed for descent). Can active camera be configured so that it remembers the last preset you used when switching views? For instance, if I was last using Preset #2 and I switch to cockpit mode and back to VC mode - can AC be configured to automatically revert back to the last camera position?Currently, everytime I switch out of VC mode and back into it later, the camera settings are lost and I keep having to hit CTRL+NUMBER to reset my view.Well, let me further clarify - when I switch back to VC mode the camera position returns to the position it was last at, but the camera orientation ALWAYS faces forwards. How can I get AC to remember both its facing *and* its last orientation?J

Love my new system:P4P800 Deluxe2.8G P4/8001G DDR4009800 ProAntec 431WLighter WalletCH YokeIt was a bear to build (worst problems I've seen yet - I'll post details in the hardware forum) but it's now working fabulous. Very stabile at 3.22G.FS9 runs fine in full-screen mode, but not in window mode. My station is setup up with dual monitors recessed into the desk for panels. When I switch to window mode and undock the main panel it works just fine. I have most sliders maxed and see around 20-25 on the ground in 16x12x32. In window mode only I get these 1-2 second hangs every 20 seconds or so. No stuttering between frames, just these big slugs every so often…

After doing the installation of Eric Marciano's great A330 panel in FS2004, I thought I had it correct. Unfortunately I am getting a "malfunction" message on the engine/warning display and some of the displays on the pedestal are blank. I could not find an answer on Eric's site.
