Hi,While I'm still waiting for the patches for the PSS Dash 8 and the A319/320/321, can anyone tell me who to cure the view problem where the area behind the cetral pillar and the left hand corner are black.That would allow me to at least hand fly the beast's instead of having the expensive maint hanger fee's.Cheers Ron

This is becoming a bugbear! The patch for the marvellous Antonov AN-24RV appeared n the Avsim library yesterday, but even after installing it I can't catch a VOR or a GS.I've been through the extensive manual and there are no instructions on how to achieve a coupled approach, just a clue here and there about instructions in a document that isn't included in the download, isn't in any of the sim libraries I go to. Does anybody know how to couple this fantastic panel to the ILS, or can someone point me to a site that has the missing document?Allcott

Hi AllDuring my last several weeks of trying out FS2004, I am finding that the auto pilot sometimes has a lot to be desired.It appears that on some approaches the Localizer will be captured, but the Glideslope will not capture unless you manually disengage the Altitude hold.At other airports both Localizer and GS capture as advertised.Has anyone found a fix or is it something we will have to live with.Tks. for any replys.Kenny G.

I am using the FS2004 GPS to fly to the proper position for an ILS approach using the "select approach/activate approach" GPS procedure. I then switch GPS to NAV mode, engage the APPR, and fly the ILS approach. All goes well until just before the touchdown point when the aircraft (default 737) begins to accelerate and tries to fly a missed approach.What am I doing wrong? I have searched the GPS tutorial and haven't found anything yet.Thanks.

Today I downloaded real WX with the engine supplied within FS9 because SEA is socked in with rain and some wind. The METAR that hour indicated a wind out of 180/12 but all of the UTtrafic was departing on 34R not 16L as what is happening in the real world.I also tried HiFis ActiveSkys and got the same results....I did a complete clearing of all weather before I tried these test......Is that screwy or what........any thought on what could be happing....Regards

I used to have an AMD 1700+ /256 megs ram with a Geforce 4 4200. Framerates for me were anywhere from 16-70, depending on the tweaking. Usually though, regardless of resolution, settings, etc. fps was too low overall for me to enjoy. Usually hovering aroudn 20 or so. So I sold my copy.Now I have an AMD 2400+ with 512 megs and a 9600 pro. So, I decided to order the sim again in hopes of better performance. Does anyone one have a similar experience upgrading or own a similar rig to mine that plays Fs2002?I know many performance questions are asked, and I read some of them. But I would still like some new responses. I am hoping for at least a 5-10 fps increase in frame rates…

Hi all, I recently increased my memory from 1.25 gigs to 1.5 gigs of ddr ram. When i load fs9 it says theres not enough memory but if I load a program 1st then fs9 it runs fine. I have deleted the cfg file and that has has no effects on it. Is this a bug or do i have to change some things within XP pro? Does anyone know how the Change of weather happens when you select from none to any of the other settings as far as how it is generated? What I would hope for would be that someday we could download real wx and all metar's would be downloaded then the areas between would smooth them all together and the changing wx would be based on TAF's inwhich the downloaded wx would changing into the TAF wx as informed on the report. I know you can keep downloadeing the wx every 15min which is nice but seems to put a load on the system during heavy flights with traffic and airports.NP

Is icing modeled in FS 2004?If so how? and what weather settings are needed

So, here I am flying the Porter in FS9, 7 miles out, below the glideslope, on a 30 degrees intercept with APP mode selected and ALT deselected.The a/c intercepts the localiser but will it descend on the glideslope? No way - I've tried several times.On the assumption that approach mode now works OK in FS9 I must be doing something wrong but I just can't figure it out?Anyone care to help an old, but not bold, pilot :-zhelp David

It seems to me that allmost every developer gets bashed when they release a new addon, personally i have been satisfied with allmost all the addons i have bought.But im just an average simmer, i dont have the time to learn all the features from planes like PMDG737, PSS A320, SSW A310 and others like these, so i stay with planes i have time to learn. Sometimes it seems to me that some simmers are in way over there head with some of these advanced addons.So i really cant say if all the whining and moaning is justified, but what should we exspect from an addon that costs 30$, its really not alot of money considering the work that must have gone in to these products.Isnt the …

Hello all - I'm trying to find the cause of the following problem that happens on several different a/c including the default lear and 777. Basically - the airspeed will suddenly drop to zero and a few seconds or minutes later will recover. This will happen several times through the course of the flight, generally at random.No, it is NOT the pitot heat but it reacts just like that except that turning the pitot heat on or off before or during the flight has no effect.The only add-ons I've updated are WxRE and FSUIPC( regged ).I'm trying to track down more specifics as to when and how it occurs but, so far, it seems random - happens in bad weather or clear weather.
