Hello,First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I wanted to know if anyone is having any luck with the Megascenery texture loading problem. I did a search on this here and it seems I'm not the only one unhappy about this problem. What I don't understand is that when I first got Megascenery, it worked fine. I used the recommended settings to the letter and I was impressed. However, as time has gone on, the scenery has degraded for some reason and lost it's sharpness. I haven't changed a thing and can't figure out why it has changed. I've never seen scenery lose it's sharpness over time, has anyone else?My system (Pentium 4, 2.4 GHZ, 768MB RAM, 128MB Ultra A250 Ti…

Hey All,Happy Holidays!!Just wanted to drop a line regarding an update file for the Legacy 2000 for FS2004 now available in the file library. It updates the Legacy.air and aircraft.cfg files.It offers an increase to engine performance as well as adjustments in ground handling. I have been using it for a while, and sending it to people that have been communicating with me via e-mail, so I thought I would post it here for general consumption.Regards Bob C.

Especially after a flight into a new airport (though not always required) I sometimes see aircraft "levitating" about 10 feet above the ground. It's very strange. I'm sure it has to do with the elevation relative to the AI aircraft. It doesn't affect all aircraft...just some.Any fixes???Thanks.

From time to time after completing a flight and wanting to watch the last 3 or 4 minutes of replay, the landing gear,the flaps, and landing lights fail to appear on the replay. Is this just a quirk of FS 2002? Has anyone else encountered this? Also I was wondering if it is worth the money to upgrade to FS 2004. Is it that much better than FS 2002. Thanks.

In a previous post I asked Kevin how to reduce the tinting on his outstanding freeware Decathlon, and he told me it was hard wired into the model. He was nice enough to take the time to e-mail me a modified version of his model with the tinting removed. Is that great or what!

Is FlightSim Architect Done For?????If you are a scenery designer you will know about this product created by Mr Doug Pouk.I have been trying to create some new scenery for KGEG in FS9, I have spend a 1/2 a day on a Embraer EM2 to go and get reference photos for the project...while the terminal building is looking great the ground textures are lacking as a result that FSA330 build 11 does not read the BGL files in FS9..It has now been 4 months since FS9 has came out and this product has yet to be updated infact.....it appears as though its creator has kinda gone AWOL as there is little...more specificly no activity on the message board by either user or Doug himself.While…

Hello,I face the following problem:When an AI aircraft performs a landing then it touches down the middle of the runway instead the first feets of it. As a result, it ends up straight out of the runway, turns back continue straight untill it reaches the end of the runway, taxiing/parking ok. The traffic works ok - despite this problem.This problem does not occur to all airports I have altered only at a few. I changed the approach speed/also different AI plane it didn't worked. Also increased the length of the runway didn't help also.Any idea?I use AFCAD and TTols

A couple of weeks ago I downloaded the above panel by Mackem Greg from Avsim. One of its features is an autoland system. Tried it out last night, but I couldn't get the autoland to work - OK until 50 feet from the ground, then either the plane goes nose up, stalls and crashes, or it goes nose down and crashes into the runway. Has anyone been able to get it working properly? If so, can you tell me what I am doing wrong. All of the pre-conditions are there, I have throttle to zero and I have tried reducing fuel. I have a question. I've downloaded files before and installed them into both FS2002, FS2004 and CF2.I have tried to download the new shakey_jake file 3 times on two different days.When I look in the three aircraft folders, after downloading, there is nothing in there. The properties show no KBs in them either. The effects folder has the FX files but when I double click on them they won't open.I don't have any problems with opening other files.Has anyone else successfully downloaded shakey_jake ??Any ideas?? Windows ME.

I am intending to buy one of the Real Air aircraft for FS2004.OK so I might end up getting both in the end, but which should I get first, because I cannot decide between the two of them?What is the VC of the SF.260 like? How clear are the gauges? I ask because I read somewhere that the VC on the Decathlon is actually clearer than the 2D Panel. Is it the same for the SF.260?Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi guys,I'm looking at possibly purchasing a small/medium size airliner (727, MD8/9, 737, 757, A320 etc) for FS9. I am having a hard time finding one that is fully functional for FS9 that doesn't require any hacks or have any missing functionality.Anyone have a list of payware and freeware that's been shown to work properly in FS9? I'm under the impression that many of the aircraft work, but the panels have issues...Thanks!Nate

AS a new user of FS2004, I am quite dissappointed with the new GPS. Whilst I agree that it is great to have a GPS that works like the real thing, I have difficulty in actually reading it. It appears to me that the default size needs to be "stretched" to make it more readable. - an easy enough thing to do I suppose, but I am wondering if there are any fixes for the "problem" . What I mean about readability is that the aircraft symbol and the airspace lines are too thick onscreen and the symbols for VOR, NDB stations are too fine and small.What do others think?Thanks Barry

But i didnt want to dedicate it to thank him (of course you can do if you wish), but to start an open discussion about what should be the definitive solution on the navdata update problem.The easiest way would be microsoft providing ( us with this functinality. Make a navdata architecture for the sim, and ease its update and access from third party developers. But we all know microsoft its not very integrated in the comunity.But whatever the solution is, I think it should be centered in the fsim. For example i like the idea of an app updating the navdata of the fsim…
