Whenever I am touching down with my 744s they start "jumping" wildly - the slower I get, the more they jump. Like a rodeo horse. I have tried it with and without Autobrakes, with and without thrust reversal, with and without autothrottle. Different airports (so it is not a matter of an uneven runway)I am flying Meljet 744s, merged with PSS panel with the help of one of this site's merge files. Approch is picture perfect, then autoland. Speed, weight, trim, flaps, etc. all as it should be.WHAT COULD BE WRONG??

I am curious if anyone has had success with the latest round of PSS patches. If so, please share them here. All I've heard so far is negatives... I need some positive reinforcement as I reload my machine. -Greg

... at least according to Dassault. I saw an ad in Business Week for their new business jet and they bragged about their state of the art flight deck and how it dispenses with the current FMC. It goes to a completely point-and-click/drag and drop interface like Windows with retractable full size keyboards and trackball at both pilot stations.And that made me realize... how stupid is it for airplanes built these days (or especially designed since 1995) to have these archaic FMCs? If you think about it, FMC programming before a flight is like using DOS when Windows exists.Look at how stupid the FMC is in the 717 or A340-500. Both of these are totally new airplanes, yet…

With all these threads about the PSS update package, I thought I might see if anyone else had tried the Vulcan update yet? I have the fs2002 version installed in fs9 and it works pretty well, albeit without the full sound. I would be loathe to run the update and knacker what is currently a pretty good install of FS9.CheersLungs

When I go into Select Aircraft and choose my WestWind repaint of the default 737, it displays the aircraft with the WestWind textures. When I click Ok to return to the main menu, the 737 is wearing the default American Pacific textures. When I start a session and fly, it's still American Pacific. None of my other default repaints do this. What would make the selection screen show the WestWind repaint textures, but everything switches back to the default when I click ok? I was really looking forward to the A320 update. Seeing as how the A320/A330/A340 have basically the same cockpit I thought it would be a given that we would have a clickable VC in the latest version of the PSS A320. They (PSS) mentioned they wouldn't be doing any major work on the A320 but click spots in the VC is basic FS2k4 standard fare these days. How hard would it have been for them to carry over the work they did for the A330/340. Click spots in the updated A320 2D panel don't work so the plane is basically unflyable in FS2k4. I have reinstalled WinXP Home as well as FS2004 in an effort to solve this problem, so far to no avail. I'm not really sure how or why this problem began, but I have been wrestling with it for the last two days. In addition to xp Home, my system includes Asus mobo with 800fsb2.6 mgh intel cpunvidia 4200 Ti with 128 megs of ram512 megs of on board mobo ram...Nothing has been changed that I am aware of which would have caused this sudden loss of ability to log onto multiplayer and real weather. here's what happened; when in VC the "windows header" will not appear when hitting "alt" key. the "ding" sound is heard and the cursor appears but i don't have the bar from which you can select aircraft/ weather etc. also, the "shift+" [take your pick here], to show gps panel, etc., dosen't work, UNLESS i "alt=enter" to windowed view, then any views i may have been trying to see are all there. it's as if the "full" view is "on top" of the rest. this started after i set the AGP from auto to 4x and apture to 128. i've returned to the original settings by now. the cards a gf4mx440 running 29.43's. done well with them, before this so i've ruled them out. i've tried reverting…

One day I started FS2004, made a direct gps flightplan and started my flight. I like to fly on gps mode and just press the nav button. After I had taken off I put on the autopilot to let the plane fly its course, but as the plane starts to fly the gps course, it kept turning in other directions during the entire flight for no reason as if my course or heading kept changing. The flying tips kept telling me to press D to correct my heading indicator over and over again about every 5 seconds. I can't figure out how fix it can anyone help?

Been having random quits to desktop with FS9 w/XP Pro. I haven't seen any talk of this in the forums...Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing similar problems.

In FS2002 The A320UAL was my default aircraft from almost day one after the 320Pro package became available and was the biggest joy to fly IMO...Ill bet I put on over 1000 hours between the time it was released in March of 2002 and July 2003 when MS released FS9 and it became unflyable.I like many of you waited patiently resisting asking redundant question to Robert,Graham,and Johan as to when the patch fix for FS9 would become available, all I remeber is that they were working hard on the fix for the 340/320/and Dash 8 that has now been nearly 4 months now.As in 2002 I was hoping that with today patch that the 320 would once again become my default aircraft and I could s…

I flew thru some pretty heavy storms today with some pretty heavy rain (in a Beech Duchess)-snapped a few shots of the rain -kinda of interesting to compare to fs. Not sure if I have screwed this up but I still get the A330 overhead showing in the A340 virtual cockpit.It still seems to be overpowered and climbs like a rocket even when fully laden!One can only assume that the patch is an interim measure for the Bus or I have done something drastically wrong. It seems to work well with the Dash 8 though.Dave B

In the lessons topics I learn that when you bank the plane the aileron goes down at the side you turn and therefore drag increases and the wing drags behind and yaws the plane opposite to the turn.But the other aileron goes up. Shouldn't this also increase drag in the same amount?How can only one wing be affected?

Hi RobHave sent you an email on this but this way might be quicker:-) D/l the sf 260 this pm. Completely removed the FS2002 installation which I had loaded into fs9. New FS9 installation went without a hitch but in spite of several reinstalls (including a fresh d/l of the zip in case of a corrupted d/l), I get an error message when booting fs9 as follows:- Aircraft initialization failure Siai - Marchetti SF260 Paint2 and the sim returns to desktop.......any ideas please.The great comments being made by those whose install has gone without an hitch are making me impatient!!!!

I don't quite understand the principle of using AFCADS. When I download and install a particular AFCAD, how do I see the result in the sim? Do I need to have AFCAD running in the background? As an example, I downloaded an AFCAD for Pittsburgh Int'l. How can I tell if the AFCAD is working? Will the parking areas look different than prior to the installation?

My default profile is the Cessna 182 shut down on the ramp at my local airport. I saved it with everything off. When I create a new flight, the mag switch is always set on both. Is there a way to fix this?
