Hopefully someone can help me with the following. I got a new PC this weekend and have re-installed FS2004 on the PC, but used a Data Migration software package that moved all data files from my old PC to the new one. It placed all those "folders" and/or "files" in all the proper locations. In my case, I had a bunch of aircraft that I had installed, and all of those folders moved over to the new PC OK, and are located in the "aircraft" folder of FS2004. Problem is, when I load FS2004, those aircraft are not listed in the "drop-down" as being available? Is there a way, or some change I need to make within FS2004 to recognize these aircraft without having to go back and …

Hey all, Does anyone know of a Web site that shows what Airliners park where?? Or know what airlines park where at Kansai Intl?? I am trying to assign Airline parking for the great Kansai Scenery from Takeheru? I seen some Pics on Airliners.net, that shows United, Korean, Cathay,Asiana Austrian, on the terminal end near Runway 24, and I seen ANA, JAL,JAS,China Air, in the middle area of the Terminal?, Also seen on the other end of the terminal near the Cargo area, that Singapore,JAL,Philipiine Air, Air France,Eva, Air China, etc.. anyone got anymore info, or tell me if the info i have is wrong, I want to try and place the airlines at thier correct area at Kansai! I've just upgraded from a Geforce4 440MX 64MB to a Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB. Is it my imagination or are the virtual cockpits clearer. I seem to remember that some parts looked quite blurry. Does a better graphicd card give you better detail in vc's - or am I cracking up! :)

I have just purchased the CH Flight Sim Yoke and now I have both rudder and pedals.I find it a little bit tricky to control the pitch and bank attitudes. Especially turning with both rudders and pedals. It's very easy to get into steeper bank than I intended.What is the best settings for gain curve sensitivity and deadzone i control manager, and sensitivity from within Flight Simulator 9?

Hi,I recall a few months back hearing about the imminent release of some great, high resolution photorealistic scenery from "FS Freeware", covering Chicago and surrounding areas. Was this ever released? I know Megascenery is probably going to get around to Chicago sooner or later but I heard this was going to be higher quality and multi-season.Any info appreciated, thanks.Joel

I've followed several threads which argued about whether there was any advantage in having 1 gig of memory over having 512 meg, for flight simulator. The clincher in the argument always seemed to be that if you looked at memory usage it was always less than 512m, so there was no need for more memory.I believe that argument is erroneous.My system was an amd 1600+ running at 1.4 mh. (not overclocked) with 512m of system memory. and the video, a GEF2 TI 500. I've been trying to buy the SF.260 for FS9. I haven't bought it before. When I try to click on more information I get the error message: "File Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server". Hi,Anyone else find that the battery switch also seems to turn on the panel lights on in the new RealAir Decathalon? Every time I start it up from cold I have to turn off the lights, wondering if this is something with my setup or if others also have the same problem?Best,Joel

I'm having trouble installing FS 2004 on my Compaq Evo notebook. First I tried the Express install, the recommended one. But then I could never get past the opening screen after clicking on the icon on my desktop. It just froze there with the hourglass sign, so I had to shut it down. Then I uninstalled it. I have WinZip 8.0 and download library files. Those files often have a readme that says enable "folder options" to automatically put files in the correct place.My question is how do I do this as no such command appears in WinZip help and mine does not do this as currently set. I put files in folders manually having unzipped to a new folder on the desktop.I realise that everyone else in the world has this sorted.

I am haveing a problem with the VC-10 package i downloaded from the library ,when installed my computer practicly freezes,i tried twice and the same thing happens. I removed it and installed only the sounds in another plane and the same thing happend to that plane ,so i think it has something to do with the sounds ,does anyone know how to fix this!

I installed SimFlyers Afcad2 for CYYZ and I'm having slight problems with it but I'm not sure the problem should necessarily be attributed to the acfad file itself. The taxiway signs appear to be in the middle of the taxiways. Also, when I land, I get told by ground to taxi to a certain gate but I get no taxi instructions. I didn't use CYYZ much, so I'm not really sure if the problem is caused by the afcad file or is part of FS.The unfortunate thing is that I didn't back up the original bgl for cyyz. I usually back everything up - but didn't for some reason in this case. Where could I find the original file? Would it be on my FSCOF disks and if so, how would I retrieve i…

Hi all, Using 2 monitors driven by my Ge-Force Asus card (which formally has 2x VGA out capabilities) with FS2004, I get excellent performance whether in fullscreen mode (view spread across the 2 screens), or in windowed mode (one 2D-window stretched into the 2nd monitor), or in one-window per screen mode (the 2nd window,ofcourse, undocked in this case). Indeed, in all these three modes, there is hardly any performance decrease. So reasonably enough, I plan on adding a third monitor, so please I'd like a straightforward answer from someone who has installed a Parhelia card (the only one currently supporting 3 monitors, right?):What is the performance loss to be expected …

Eventhough it's supposed to display LEDs, I can't read it at all! It should glow at night but instead if I turn the panel light off it just disappears into the dark. Any fixes? :(

Howdy Gang,Has anyone purchased the Europe version of the Jepp Simcharts 3.0 for FS9? I'm considering it, but would like to know how well Norway, Sweden and Finland are covered. In their "blurb" they (Jeppesen) say that "almost" all airports with 6000' runways or greater and with an ILS are covered. I'm curious by what the mean when they say, "almost", and if other approaches such as VOR, NDB, etc. are included. Any info would be appreciated.Thanks much,Glenn
