How are they listed in ACOF? If at all?

Is anyone else hearing a rhythmic 'tick' or 'click' sound from the Maule's engine? It occurs once every few seconds at full throttle, and less frequently at lower throttle settings?The 'tick' is heard on two completely different PCs that are running different operating systems so I am fairly certain that it is not being caused by my own hardware or software setup. And, it occurs at all three levels of sound quality.Any thoughts on how to eliminate this annoying sound will be greatly appreciated.Nice aircraft, huh?Robert

I am having a problem setting the sensitivity for the throttles and getting the full range of N1 settings. When I get a good range for N1 settings the controls are too sensitive. Need help.James

FS2004The first 40 minutes of any flight are good. I get 15 to 19 fps with my Pentium 4, 1.5. Not bad and very smooth.Then, the fps drop to 4, 5 or 9 and there is a lot of pauses (stutters?).Something is overheating? Couls it be my GeForce FX 5200?Any solution? Thanks.

I was going to get the OSS Gatwick scenery, but when I got to the Gatwick download page the link to download the scenery was blank with the red "x" in the corner. Is this because of the server outage? Or something else?

Maybe it's just my system but the VC panel gauges have a glare that makes them hard to read. If I turn off aircraft reflections they are OK. Everything else about the package is terrific. My home airport (CYXX) has been given a dirt apron, along with some lovely dirt taxiways. In real life, there are 737's and such, using a paved apron.I used AFCAD to find and repair these surfaces, but I'm not sure how to save the work. Do I stick it in ADDONS/SCENERY? Or can I actually overwrite the original airport file? I saved my work to the ADDONS/SCENERY folder, made sure the scenery library had this folder selected, but my repairs did not apply. (Now there is a small little patch of pavement amidst a dirt apron!)Thoughts?Capherc

I just formatted and reinstalled FS9. I installed the RAS 172 flight model. Like I do for all the aircraft I regularly fly, I edit the aircraft.cfg and modify the weight and balance section to the loadout I normally fly with, so I don't have to set it every time from within Flight Sim.I just noticed something, by the numbers it looks like the baggage station is located in front of everything else. Hello everyone,I installed AITM, then the AITM2 Alpha update since I am using FS2004.It loads up perfectly fine, but I cannot load any airport timetables. I type in an airport ICAO code, but all the buttons at the bottom are greyed out. So I can't click them.It's as if it's not even recognizing FS2004.I must have forgot to do something. I wonder if I could trouble you for your opinions on the best PC projector to use for FS9. My system will probably be a P4 (Intel mb socket 478), 3GHz w/512 cache, 800 MHz FSB, Hyper-threading, a good gig of DDR RAM and an ATI TV in and out video card (9800-XT?). I plan to use my PC as a home entertainment centre for TV, movies and particularly FS9. I am hearing a lot about DLP technology. I'm pretty sure I'll need a projector with DVI as well.Thanks in advance.

Windowed mode or full screen. I've been using full screen for basically the only reason that I don't like looking at the "windows frame" I feel it takes away from the immersion.

Maybe this is a stupid ?. I havn't messed with AI traffic before, just started reading about it the last few days. But is there a way to get rid of the stock aircraft ie: Land mark, Orbit.... .Then use any AI aircraft that I may download, but use the same default flight plans that FS2004 uses. I want to see aircraft like Northwest or Delta, not the fake ones in FS2004. Was that a stupid question? Thanks in advance Bob

Thanks to all those developers who have put in some incredible amount of hours and supplied us with wonderful planes to fly at no charge. You rock! We benefit from their hard work. With all this fantastic freeware that is seems to be showing up lately for FS2004. It appears that the payware people have got their work cutout for them. Since we can now be very discriminating in our choices and get only the best of the best. The payware has now got to be superfantabulous before hard cash is put down. The great freeware is good news for this hobby as new standards are being set. It is great time to be a simmer with FS2004.

I know that I must be missing something -- it's a bit like those people who failed to read Olekseys' Dash8 manual and didn't unlock the throttle lock -- but I can't get Miltons' Aerocommander 520 off the ground. The engine RPMs fail to run up to anything near the figures quoted in the manual. I must have some brake on somewhere -- but can't figure it!!HELP!!! :)Barry

Hi guys,There are certain aircraft, such as the default MD-83 & Dash-8 in FS9 which are by default non-selectable (non-visible) in the Select Aircraft window. I'm also experiencing this problem with some certain AI Aardvark planes, such as the 727s and 767s. I want to enable the selectability of such aircraft in order to test out their textures and lights before using them in AI traffic. You see, I'm pretty sure that there's a simple solution to this by editing the Aircraft.cfg , in fact I kept looking inside the Aircraft.cfg files of the aircraft in question with no solution. So, if anybody knows how to make these aircraft selectable by editing a certain line in the …
