Can someone help me with Schedule Builder 0.96b. The ReadMe file indicates that you need the Java Run Time Environment to run the program. I have Java 1.3.1 Run Time Environment but have no idea where (or how) to input the java instructions. According to the instructions, the program uses the following syntax: java ScheduleBuilder Where do I input that syntax? There doesn't seem to be any window that runs Java. Or am I missing something? I have ZERO experience with running or programming Java (obviously :-hmmm )Steve

Hi guys, why does it always have to be good news/bad news. I have flown FS2K2 with 3 monitors for years without a glitch. Due to incompatibilities with my home cockpit I have flown FS9 only with two monitors until a few days ago. The results have been very good.A few days ago I have reworked my cockpit and now introduced the 3rd monitor to FS9 (which is a touchscreen, great!!!). The main monitor, and one of the cockpit monitors are running from an ATI 9700Pro. The 3rd monitor is running from a Nvidia TNT2 64MB. The secondary monitors all have only panels resp. 2D windows running. What a disappointing experience.Apart from the fact that the new windowed mode/undock/fullscre…

Well, finally I have FS9 - after a couple of years of intensive use FS2002.I have only flown a couple of flights and had a brief look at a few of the default aircraft. My first impressions are quite mixed. Certainly I am going to have to turn some of my settings down to achieve framerates that I enjoy in FS2002 with my AMD XP2400 machine - although I noticed quite a difference in performance between flying the pattern at the default airport Seattle-Tacoma and at my hometown of Brisbane Australia. The scenery visuals seem to have a "cartoon" quality about them -- the blue skies of a weather setting of fine and clear are just too blue - ridiculously so.. Water colours are jus…

I see a lot of people saving their livery files as extended 32bit 888-8 and not as DXT3. What difference in quality is there really between these two formats? One format is much bigger in file size as the other, so there must be a quality difference, but it's very hard to see, I think.ThanksMikkel

This is from Tom's Hardware. Is this possible? Looks like 9800 XT and Pro are miles ahead of 9700 Pro. Can anyone confirm/deny the accuracy of this? It is very hard to believe, almost double the 9700 Pro. Hard to believe because in other game benchmarks there appears to be maybe a 25% improvement.BTW, how do you post images here without getting the lil link thingey? I used to be able to post images directly.Noel

Well,I did succeed in installing the package, and after some fooling around I can start the engines, take off and fly around. And yes, I can activate the autopilot but that's about it.When I try to lock on a VOR, nothing happens and the plane continues on the preselected heading, even with the autopilot on and VORnavigation activated.I can live with that 'cause steering the plane through the HDG-selection is easy. But flying an approach is something else. It seems I can ONLY fly any approach on Backcourse and there is no glideslope intercept either...Since approach and VOR are closely related, I guess I am missing something because I don't know enough Russian. Can anybody he…

I want to use some scattered cirrus clouds in a personal weather setup, as they put much less of a hit on my system then the cumulus. My questions are:1. What is the average altitude of cirrus clouds2. What is an 'average' coverage layer (5/8, 6/8, etc)?3. How thick should the layer be?Thanks in advance!Scott

Hello fellow simmers!I have one question: when I set the pax in FS2k4 C172 (default or RealAir 172) to have only the pilot, it gets a strong tendency to roll to the left. If I have a pilot and copilot, it flies ok. I do understand that changes in pax settings affects the CG thus affecting flying characteristics, but my question is: is the roll tendency that strong in a real 172?I'm not a real world pilot so I'd like some light from the gurus...ThanksMarcelo

I just installed the Vans MD-80 today. I started up FS2K4, and nothing happens. The splash screen shows up, but it does not do anything. This has happened to me before with other products. I fixed it by re-installing FS, but I'm tired of doing that. Does anyone have any suggestions?Thank You.http://www.yxhistory.no-ip.com/signature.jpgAaron [email protected]

If you are one of the 260 keen souls who downloaded my DC3_PAN.ZIP file today, I may owe you an apology. I omitted to point out that it is required that you COPY YOUR DEFAULT DOUGLAS_DC3.CAB GAUGE FROM THE DEFAULT AIRCRAFT'S PANEL FOLDER TO THE MAIN FS9 GAUGES FOLDER.You can safely move it, actually, if you want to avoid all duplication. In any case, if you do not do this, then you will have no default gauges showing in my panel revisions.Sorry for the info oversight, and I hope that you enjoy the panels. The file has just been withdrawn, temporarily, and will be remounted shortly with a corrected README.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.j…

Can anyone tell me if you can use a wireless keyboard, mouse AND joystick simultaneously without interferance issues? Does anyone know if you can get wireless headphone/mic set? I guess if each product has its own frequency and its own transmitter, you would sure use up USB ports in a hurry. You'd almost need a common hub to control all frequencies to and from the PC. Does this exist? Thanks for any info you can provide.

How come AI parks at the same spot when there is an available spot right next to it? It's very frustrating seeing your AI park in the same spot as one which is already there even if there is a spot open right next to it...what can be done to fix this issue? I downloaded a new afcad for klax and there should be enough gates for all the aircraft, but it doesn't seem to matter for the ai.

Hi,During the last months I have been posting here several times concerning severe problems I had with FS9. Even though I have a high-end system I could not run FS9 due to a constant flashing of bars, triangles, etc. across the screen. Also textures looked very blurry all the time. FS2002 did not have any problem whatsoever. In the beginning I thought it was due to the drivers I used for my ATI Radeon 9800Pro. I tried every single one of them I could find on the net. By the time everybody else had his/her graphics problems fixed due to the latest Catalyst and Omega drivers coming out, I still could not enjoy FS9. This convinced me that it must be related to a bad video ca…

Can anyone recommend a variety of US military aircraft that are FPS friendly. I'm adding some AI to a military base and need the proper aircraft. At the moment I'm most interested in airlifters (C-5, C-130, C-141, etc) as I'm doing an AMC base but I'll eventually need some fighters and bombers as well. Thanks in advance.BobL

I use a freeware sound file for RR Sey engines on a couple of aircraft and I find that when I load these aircraft I get a screen error message'sound file not found' at the beginning of the load process which causes problems loading. When I eventually get the aircraft loaded and fly it,the sound is okay and as it should be.So what is causing the error message?:*

Hi all, I have a niggling problem here with the Weather in 2004. I was at Vagar the other day and it was bucketing down with rain there. I am using Fsmeteo and Fsuipc 3.125. The thing I am noticing is that after takeoff I break through the clouds and look below and can still see the ground in amongst broken cloud. This cannot be right can it? In fs2002 if the same situation happened you would have a lovely blanket of cloud below you.Does somebody maybe have a clever fix for this ot is it just another bug maybe. I think I have all my settings correct. Many thanksDavid BowenCyber Air 062
