hi all, i have just installed about 40 odd airlines from the pai website :):), i was sitting at heathrow and as i have not yet removed the default airlines there were soar and orbit et al going around, the atc obviously reffered to the companies by name, this does not happen with BA, sometimes they're called 'speed bird' and sometimes nothing at all, just the number. however virgin planes are called 'virgin' by the ATC, is this normal? and do other airlines get referred to by there name? i was wondering if the programme has a speech generator like in windows xp.... cheers! oh and the antonov AN24rv is referred to as 'Antonov' as well which must mean something like that is…

I have been flying props in FS for about three years. I never really understood how to set the mixture at different altitudes. As you can imagine, I always kept Automixture enabled.Could someone explain to me how the mixture works. Things like how to mix fuel/oxygen at various altitudes. I feel like I should know, but I don't. :-bigangelThanks

Can you control each throttle, prop, and mixture independently of each other in FS 2002? I know you can pull up the throttle quadrant on the screen and control each separatly using the mouse, but I cant' figure out how to do it with the keyboard. Example. I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick and this weekend my new computer will be here and I was going to install the joystick on the new computer, but I can not find the installation CD that came with the joystick. Is there a way to install the joystick without the CD? Or do I have to buy a new joystick?

Hi,If you guys have a look at the attached file, you will see a flat white film effect covering over the ground. I get this all the time. Hello All,Well, I decided to start flying on line again, and sure enough, I am having problems. I fire up FS9, get on line, go through the whole process and when I initiate SB, I get the dreded MS send error message.I thought I had that one licked by just reinstalling SB, and it worked a few times, however it doesn't any longer. I've disabled my anti virus, followed the instructions to the letter, but now can't get on at all . . . anyone else have this problem?XPPROMacAfee anti virus, (turned off) for fsall the lates SB files and following things to the letter.Clay

Hi,My question is to all the users of the NEW version of the A330. How are the frame rates?The old version was very frame rate hungry using the 2d panel, I was getting about 18 fps and dropping of to about 8 at worst. Are the rates constant now or is this still an issue.ThanksDK

Hi All,My FS9 requires Disk 4 to be in the drive at all times. This resulted in a quite scratched and dirty disk (alright I should keep my desktop cleaner!)Is there a small patch out there that can dispense eith having to keep the disk in the drive when using FS9?KFD

From some reports a British Airways pilot asked whether he had justseen AF1. AF1 responded, "No, we are a Gulf Stream 5". British replied "Oh" ( apparently knowingly ended the inquiry ).So...where could this have happened ? leaving the east coast of the US ?And do you think that the AF1 pilot instinctvly knew to claim he was a plane that couldn't have been mistaken with a 747 so as to signal the British pilot to clam up?Pretty facinating from a flight logistics standpoint.- Myles

Quick question, on the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan and the 208 I see what is called the "Inertial Separator" what exactly is this for? When you press it the Ann. Lights goes on for De-Ice Mann. or something like that. What is the difference of the Inertial Separator and the De-Ice on the 208B Grand Caravan since it has both.I'm guessing here that the De-Ice is for wing/structural De-Ice...but I'm still confused about the Inertial Separator. It has nothing to do with the Pitot Heat because that has its own button.Is it the Carb Heat? Just called something different? Well thanks in advance for the replies let me know whoever is an expert. How does one completely disable scenery cache in FS2002?Everytime I exit FS2002 I always seem to have an extra entry added to my Scenery.cfg entries in relation to the Cache, and I do not believe I used to have such an entry added before...Stamatis

Hi all... :DI just downloaded the LOMAC Demo (122MB).I then double-click the EXE file and it unzips the file Data2.CAB ok, but unfortunately it then exits and returns to windows?? :-hmmmAny ideas please how I can fix this problem?Thanks :-)Mark
