I have an 800mgz celleron 256 meg ram 11 meg video computer. I got COF hoping I could enjoy traffic at uncontrolled airports and the enhanced ATC features. I knew with my system that most of the visual features wouldn't get any better than what I have with FS2002.Well, I got COF today. It would be a pretty cool simulator even with most of the sliders over to the left. Except, I can't get the higher resolutions. All that's offered is 800X600. With FS2002, I could go 1024X(whatever). Those pixels on 800X600 make numbers hard to read. It's definitely a downward departure from FS2002. And I was afraid that would happen. Is there anyway to force COF to give me those …

Hello! I had to reinstall FS2002 because of some scenery issues. Now that I reinstalled it and only added a few add-ons, my 767PIC is crashing each time on climb out. The same thing happened with the PMDG until I lowered my traffic. The error is related to the atc.dll module and seems to cause problems when ATC won't shut-up. I have UT installed and my traffic is down to 25%. Above 25% makes it impossible to even get in to ATC for clearance or acknowledgement.Any ideas on how I can solve this without reducing my traffic to nothing? How does everyone run so much traffic on these sims when it obviously causes a myriad of problems (e.g., go-arounds, ATC talking nonsto…

I installed the Capt Sim 727 from CD-ROM into FS9 and it went fine. First flights went great too. But after a massive crash in FS2002 (which I still run) that then crashed Windows XP Home Ed, I find that the FO voices with speed, flap and gear calls have all vanished from Capt. Sim a/c. I reinstalled the a/c twice, but no joy. I cannot register to post on Capt. Sim website since I bought this from JustFlight, so I am posting here if anybody has any ideas. ok,Most of the time I am the last guy on earth to ask advise on something but now I really need some serious background.For the moment, I'm running Fs9 on a P4 2.5 with 1Gb mem, G4 Fx5600 with 256 Mb and 8x AGP. A second monitor is attached to a G4 Mx440 and deals with secondary panels such as radio or throttle and since both cards can use the same driver they run in perfect harmony.I want to spent some serios cash on an upgrade for my main graph. card and I really would like to buy an ATI. When I select Real Weather from the online server I get the hour-glass symbol and cannot even kill the program using Windows XP Task Manager. I have to actually turn off the power to kill FS9. This only occurs when using the Real Weather server/online. I have reinstalled FS9 several times. I have also deleted the CFG file and forced the creation of a new file by FS9. Internet connection is via cable and works ok for everything.Any suggestions appreciated.Dick Boley KLBE

hi all I don't know if this is the proper forum to address this issue but i was wondering how one can fix oscillating throttles in various aircraft. right now I have a problem with the ariane 737-300 (using their own panel) when on take off it will accelerate and then all of a sudden decelerate and the N1 speeds seem to low to be very realistic at any given weight or FL. do i need to adjust the engine parameters in the aircraft.cfg file or is it more complicated than that? appreciate any advice on this topic

I am currently using Chris Arrington's airport textures and they are great! If I install the new relief textures will they overwrite Arrington's textures? Do the upgrade textures affect frame rate?Thanks!Airbus

I have finally added some ai to my installation and want to adjust the taxi speed. Downloaded and tried taxispd.zip from the other site - got a run time path error.Anybody got this to work?If not, where is the taxi speed value for the planes so I can change it manually?Thanks.

hi, does anyone know the british airways callsign used by the ATC? the PAI planes use 'speed bird' and there is no british airways in the editvoicepack list, there is a british though. any ideas? cheers, James

In FS2004 there is the Center of Gravity picture to the left of the loading form. When operating empty I notice that the crosshair is near the front of the plane and depending how you load the aircraft it will move backwards faster or slower.My question is, where exactly should you aim for when you load an aircraft? Should you place the crosshair dead in the center or try to bring it forward or backward more?Here are two pictures of the same load but in different configuration.1) In the first picture I loaded the passengers near the back (there are three of them plus me, the pilot). When I fly into a new area, sometimes clouds just "pop up" instead of a smooth transition, first appearing in the distance and then growing in size as the aircraft approaches the system. I thought smooth weather transitions was a feature of FS2004. I'm using FSUIPC 3.12 and ActiveSky. Many thanks for any ideas/assistance, Rudi Hiebert

Hi,how is the atc behaving in fs9 when you are flying a pattern at an airport. Have you to tell the downwind and base and final anounces for the tower or not.Does the ATC give you the pattern altitude?Are there also UNICOM at the samll airports?Thanks for the pacient to answer all that questionTFT
