Hi all!I was considering to acquire 512mb to 1GB of RAM to my machine... Wich ASUS motherboard would you suggest me for this purpose??? Can I purchase any kind of RAM and just fill up the slots, or each motherboard just accepts one specific kind of RAM?? And finally, what is the difference between a PC3200 and a PC2100 based memory???Thanks,Lucas.

This has to be a first in the history of FLight Simulator. Has anyone heard anything from Microsoft concerning future developments of this sim??? Any word on SDK's or service paks??? I'm very surprised we've almost gotten to Christmas (well in the U.S.) and no word whatsoever from Redmond. Will Microsoft continue to make Flight Simulator, have they let some people go on the FS staff, what's gong on??? I know this may sound like I'm overreacting but this lengthy silence from them is really troubling...

If you use nVHardPage v1.70.0b and enable all the options, one of the options available on the display properties,settings,advanced,Geforce...,Perfor and Qual, Direct 3d, more direct 3d is a check box labeled enable performance graph. (This is running 52.16 drivers on 5950 Asus).If you check it and start fs9, your fs9 window looks like the attached screen shot. Hi all,I'm about to upgrade my sys, and later was looking for some precessor options... On my search through the net, I've noticed that there aren't AMD processors much higher then 2Ghz, while the P4 can get as high as 2.8Ghz... So, if I would to choose between an Athlon machine 2.*Ghz(2000+, 3000+, etc.) not so powerful as the P4 2.4Ghz, or the P4 2.4 itself, wich one would you recommend me buying(considering that all other specs would be the same in both cases)????PS. This might be a really, reallly, really stupid question. Anyway, here goes in real life with the C208 Amphibiam how is fuel loaded? Would it be possible to load fuel from a container or does it have to be pumped in.I know this is probably a really dumb question but I have no idea how small planes are loaded with fuel. I know the Heavy's are loaded from pumps on the tarmack.Like if you landed your amphibian on a lake and needed fuel and had as your cargo a few gallons of fuel in a container or something could you load it or is that just impossible?Thanks...please don't burn me too much. :D

Is there software available that will do flight planning (such as, FSNavigator) and fuel calculation, and then enter that information directly into FS GPS and fuel tanks without having to go through the Flight Planner setup screens?Thanks.

Im new to FS2004 and AFCAD2 and I have a question, where do you put the AFCAD files for the default airports? Do they go in the same folder where I put my addon scenery?

I was thinking of buying the Flight One Meridian or the FSD International Seneca V. I am looking for a fairly fast GA and I am not sure which to get. I hope I could hear from some that own either. I am not looking for one sucks and the other doesnt just some info to help me decide. Thanks Andrew

I found out yesterday that the text on the kneeboard does not scroll correctly. There is some change in the bottom or top lines, depending on the direction of the movement, but that is all. I am pretty sure I have used it before without any problem. Any idea of what might be happening? I tested the same function in fs2k2 and it runs smoothly.Anyone can help?Best Regards

I wonder what you all think of Mike Stone's addon planes. To me they look line airline desktop models, without any weathering or any real-life color hues, and totally lifeless, with fictitious minimal schemes or liveries. The models are passable in dimensions, but barely so... For me, there are hundreds of better plane makers and painters but he seems to get the publicity of a god. What is so good about them? Even I, a beginner, can paint better textures than his, and have done so for my game. His attitude towards criticism and tone is also another matter.Your comments are welcome. Hi All,I have several downloaded aircraft in which the landing lights never work. They are all based upon default planes in FS.Are there any lines of text that I could copy from the default aircraft that I could add to the files in these planes to get the landing/taxi lights to function? I'd sure appreciate learning about it if it can be done.Thanx, John

Hi!I installed Portland,Oregon and Seatac (Seattle) airportsand now I can't find any ground textures anywhere in the USNWarea.......I checked missing bgl and texture files, but they seem to be OK.I also found some mysterious LCE... files in my scenery folder.Maybe they have something to do with it?Does anyone know if this could be fixed?Grateful for help.Thanks!Hans HermanssonSWEDEN

this question was brought up earlier but there didnt seem to be a response that seemed to work. I have FSUIPC (newest version) and use updated weather from Jeppessen and the internet. I also use the low FPS clouds. Today with both of my flights I noticed this and it really got under my skin. On the ground at DTW the sky was overcast and there was fairly low visibility, I'd say around 2500. After takeoff I approached the overcast sky. Here is the problem, as I approach, the overcast becomes not as overcast and the clouds break. The clouds dont seem thick either. Once I get over the clouds, it becomes clear or scattered clouds. About 90% of the time when ATC and AI traffic speak on the radio FS2004 pauses for a second and it's annoying. I can hear my hard drive getting accessed during the pause as soon as ATC or AI traffic speak. When using AI traffic there are too many pauses caused by the AI traffic contacting ATC although frame rate is good. I have 1 GB RAM and I'm using Windows XP Profeesional.

Hello, at around Christmas time i hopefully will be the proud owner of FS2004 :-jumpy, but just wanting to ask anybody that's played it-what is it like and will i need a super powerful computer to run it. Would appreciate some advice from someone more skilled than I am at adding AI aircraft into FS2004 (especially at UK airfields)I have added four RAF Vulcan bombers to RAF Fairford as AI traffic. All appear fine and taxi and depart into the circuit as instructed.However when it comes to their landing clearance they either just continue flying the circuit or sometimes attempt to land off the airfield despite being cleared (and accepting clearance) onto the "live" runway.I added a couple of Eurofighters to the Duxford scenery with some Spitfires. The Spitfires taxi,take-off and land fine but the Eurofighter drops out of the sky on approach and crashes into the runway and dis…

they are in notepad form and not .bgl. How do I install these? They were originally made for The Mosher Brother's CYHZ/CYQM and CYYT sceneries for FS2002. I have AFCAD2 and all it says is to install the .bgls that come with the download but these are notepad docs.Help Please, Adam

Windows XP Motherboard ASUS A7V8X-X SKT A KT400 8XAGP DDRAMD 1.8Mhz Processor, 1024Mb Ram, Radeon 9600 128Mb Graphics Card AGPx8. Nothing drastic, but whenever I select a different aircraft or change airport, the screen flashes off to a completely black screen, back to the flight sim, and then back to black. After 2 or 3 of these, the screen settles down to the correct picture. Does anyone know why this is happening and if there is any way to correct it. I have downloaded the latest catalyst driver for the graphics card, but it has not cured the problem.

I have installed the AT6D by Robert Hawk, with a panel by JRLucariny.In the panel I miss several instruments (airspeed, VOR, NDB) and I cannot access the radio panel. Is this normal? All,Well I've got my new platform running (P4 3.0 Ghz, 9800xt, 1Gb RAM) and the performance I'm getting out of FS2004 is fantastic. Thanks to all the contributers who have provided all the knowledge, info and tweaks to get this sim looking and acting fantastic.Now I Have this new computer attached to the old computer (P3 1 Ghz) through a small home network. Are there any ideas for utilising this old computer through networking to enhance the sim experience?I was thinking something like flight planner, GPS, control panels etc. Something to add the experience and take some load of the other computer.So, any ideas?Steve Brown

I don't know if this the right place, But, I have insatalled the packages from Project AI , with the automatic installer before, now when i try to open the insataller nothing happens.I have the 7 .dll files in the folder. When i try to open the installer these 7 files flash a few times and thats it. What i'm I ding wrong. I have downloaded a new installer but no luck, Thanks Bob
