I need some serious help with the SSW A310. I've read several posts here about registration problems. Perhaps one of you fellow simmers can shed some light for me. I bought the package from Simmarket over a week ago. I downloaded and installed the files, including the Navdata. I opened load edit, got my code, e-mailed off to SSW and got back a registration number. Now what? Where do you put that number?I've gone to the registered users area at SSW, but when I enter my e-mail and my reg number, nothing happens. I've tried to post on their forum, but it shows I'm not registered and won't let me post. I've e-mailed Evgueni, but he just keeps sending me my reg number, and som…

Is there any way to display this in a window inside FS, maybe using advdisplay? Or maybe one of these experts on the kneeboard/browser window might know how to configure something. It would be great to not have to leave/pause FS to check winds aloft and destination weather. Plus the winds aloft info would be great as you could request flight level changes according to winds. And one could plan approach requests according to winds etc.Thanks in advance, Adam

and yes, it's FS related.I'm trying to set a spreadsheet up so that it will calculate straight-line distances between two points. And since I never did do well in math I need a little help.Assume two points, x,y and a,b where:X=decimal based longitude of the first pointY=decimal based latitude of teh second pointa=decimal based longitude of the second pointb=decimal based latitude of the second point.Now, what formula do I use in the spreadsheet cell to make it calculate a straight line distance, in nautical miles that takes into effect the fact that the earth isn't as big around at higher latitudes than it is at the equator.How do I do this???BobL

Hello All,Ok, have SB working, and load everything, flying on line . . . next time I go to load SB, same routine, cept I get the dreaded MS error, send message.Nothing seems to help except to delete SB, reinstall, reboot and then I can get back on line with SB.It has to be a SB and XP problem . . . anyone else experienced this?Really need help as deleting and reinstalling is getting old.Best to allClay

My Microsoft Sidewinder recently stopped working completely, so I was forced to purchase another. I wasn't able to fine one here in town, so iI bought a Saitek X45 and Logitech 3D Pro. I took the Saitek back because the rudder was too difficult to control and it wouldn't save setting in MSFS. I'm also considering taking back the Logitech. My problem now it whether I should buy another MS stick online or get the CH products. My Microsoft was never a problem with either FS8 or 9. What is the overall opinion on the CH yoke and pedals versus other contollers? Do they have more problems with calibration and settings, or would they be about the same?I just want some hones…

I like flying the Biz jests only and I use FS2002 only.The Falcoln 50 is the very top but I would like to fly a more modern glass cockpit bird and note 3 that have caught my attention.Beechjet 400Lear 60 Citation X (about ot be released I believe)I'm only interested in the 2d panel and flight dyanamics of an airplane.Which one?

Just wondering exactly what the new FSMeteo does that the built in real weather of FS2004 doesn't do??? I read the list of features at their website, and I'm not sure which of those go above what FS provides out of box.I'm definately interested in buying it, but $35 sure seems like an awful lot of money to spend on something when I'm not really even sure what difference it will make. My main concern is the weather itself, don't care so much about all the little extras like downloading archived weather, etc.Be nice if there was shareware version.Also, are there any decent freeware tools that do some of same thing?Matt

Been running fine since the summer. Today it decided that it would crash every time I launch it.Can't think whats changed - have not installed or altered my system since last time I played it, but it crashes HARD. I have to force quit it to regain control.I probably need to re-install it, but don't want to lose all my custom aircraft, terrain and what not. What is the best way to 'repair' the installation without overwriting all the custom files?Is there a 'preferences' or 'config' file I can trash to try that??-frustrated.

I have the replacement clouds and use online weather from Jeppesen in FS9. Does anyone notice that when on the ground and it is overcast, once you start to climb out, it doesnt stay overcast. The sky becomes broken and you can see the ground. I have never been able to approach an overcast sky, climb through and have overcast sky below me. Is this because I am using the replacement (low fps) cloud textures? Are there any settings i can do to improve this? Will Active sky help? I also use FSUIPC. Same thing happens on approach. Once I get to about 1500 agl, the sky goes from broken to overcast or it will start to rain. ThanksBrad Zimmer

Today I sat on the eastside of KBFI(Boeing Field) and watched AC making their finals for 16R at KSEA which is about 5 mile away. I had my scanner with me and heard three Captians state they were using AUTOLAND feature...this call was made at about 9 miles out.Watching the AC come in I noticed somthing that is contrary to the profile that ACs have in FS2002 and FS9. What I noticed is the real AC that used AUTOLAND noses were pointed downward and in MSFS the noses are always slightly upward in a pre-flared state even as far out as 10 miles away and the amount of speed doesnt change that nor trim.Has anyone else noticed this as well or is it just me....is this a error in MS…

I've only got one extra axis on my saitek stick, which I use for throttle. I've always left "automixture" on in setup. What exactly does that do? As far as fuel usage, etc. it doesn't seem to do anything. What do others do to adjust mixture?

Can repaints that were created for the FS2002 version of the SF.260 be used on the FS2004 version of the SF.260? If so, are there any downsides to using the FS2002 repaints, and are there any suggested installation modifications?Thanks,RobertI was surprised and pleased when I received an email from RealAir Simulations saying that they were providing a free update to my FS2002 version of the Marchetti, but I was blown away when I discovered that the free 'upgrade' was in fact the complete FS2004 version of the Marchetti. What a class act.
