I've always used Radar Contact for ATC simming, but I decided to give the default a try for comparison purposes. Because I'm new to the default, it may be I'm doing something wrong, but this was what happened first flight. I'm approaching Frankfurt - all had gone well and I'm pleasantly surprised by FS9 ATC. I was given a good descent profile and at 9000ft, approach vectors were provided for the active runway. At this point, I went thro' the menus and selected an ILS approach with an appropriate transition to the same runway. This was ackowledged by ATC. I'm very impressed. Does anyone is using the hp processor trick for FS2004?If you don't know what's that trick well, here we go:by doing this, your processor will work in high priority for the program you want. If you want your processor to work in high priority for FS2004 here's the instructions:In your FS2004 folder create a text file by right clicking your mouse and choose the "new" tab and then text file. In that text file write this line "start /high fs9.exe" without the quotes. Anyone else having problems with the FS9 downloaded weather? Where I live in central PA, today the weather is overcast with visibility about 10 miles. There is a winter storm front approaching. When I download the weather into FS9, I get clear skies with 50 miles visibility??? I had this problem a few weeks ago but it was working right for the last couple of days. Hi, Is that helicopter can't be the AI Plane in FS2004?I had make a "normal" test flightplans for one of my Helicopter,but it haven't appear in both airport all the time.Is that the physical limitation of FS? Do either of these programs/editors exist for MSFS (2004 in particular)...Firstly, a controller configurer that allows multiple key/controller configurations to be saved and loaded whilst in MSFS. E.g. I have both stick and yoke setups and would like to program each differently depending on which particular aircraft I intend to fly. The ability to load/save key/controller configurations would be very handy.Secondly, as we know, there are many hidden settings within the various config files that can affect performance in various ways. I've got a work computer that is connected to the internet on a T3 line. I'd like to use it to run applications like a popular weather utility addon to offload some CPU overhead from my FS pc. The simulator PC is my home box, which connects to the 'net by dialup to the modem pool of the work PC's LAN - so the connection is pretty reliable and no hops at all. My question is this: Will performance of that connection be worth the effort of setting it up, using wideFS to connect the two or is that pointless?

I have downloaded the RealAzores scenary. I knew it was developed for FS2k2, but the available information said it was compatible, with minor glitches, with FS9. However, when I tried to install it the message I got was that it could not open a directory (which does not exist in FS9).I would like to have the help from those who have already installed it in FS9, as the help from Real Azores can take as long as four days!Best Regards,:-wave

I tried to download the C-123 that was posted to the library today but I get redirected to an empty ftp directory. It shows 1375 people have already downloaded it. Has it been removed or something?

Why are there waypoints every 25 miles or so on a 500 mile flight plan? Why not go from one VOR to another that are spaced 100 miles apart. You could have the one behind you on nav2 and the one in front on nav 1. Noobie question but thought I'd ask...rgds,billg

Hello Gang!I've downloaded and installed the fabulous CRJ by POSKY, along with it's associated paint schemes. I've got nice CRJ sounds, a nice panel, and I'm ready to roll, except that the flight model is horrible, at least within FS2004.Can a good soul point me to an air file that's decent enough to use with the POSKY CRJ? Hi folks,I've got a little difficulty logging my time with the FS9 logbook. I used it without any problems for about a week and then I kept getting this message (see attachement). I haven't touched anything in the config file and the logbook.txt file is still in "my documents -> flight simulator files. Hi again!I've trying to learn how to fly VOR to VOR and I fail to find an explanation on how to tune a VOR so I can head to it. Everywhere says " tune the VOR blabla " always in words, I don't get how to tune that VOR if I don't know the frequency in numbers.Please help me.Thanks againLeo
