Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure you will). With FS2k2, our clever community members created the utilities which were necessary to modify the traffic.bgl in FS2k2 to add AI. This was necessary because MS's traffic.bgl was copyrighted. Modified traffic.bgls could not be shared or distributed, so the tools to enable an owner to modify his/her own version were created. (EDIT - the tools are important for other reasons, of course, but a necessity in this case because the end product must be re-created by the end user)Enter FS2k4. The Vienna 2-10 Update for FS2002, added to the Avsim Library on Dec 22 by Johann Loy and David Morgan, makes it very enjoyable to fly around in Vienna. I already found the original Vienna add-on by Johann very impressive and this update adds several new buldings. Thank you, Johann and David for your efforts! Maybe a dumb ?. Can I use the CH yoke and my joystick at the same time. I would like to use the buttons on the joystick along with the flight yoke. Bob McDuff

I've flown a few GPS approaches coupling the GPS to the AP. I've noticed that even when I use the NoPT (no procedure turn allowed) IAF, the GPS/AP will still attempt to fly the PT. I'm wondering what the proper method is,in this situation,(other than the obvious: uncoupling the AP and flying the approach manually).Bob

I sold my copy of FS2002 ahile back. My AMD 1700+ was just not up to the task. Well, I recently upgraded to an AMD 2600+ amd decided tp give it another try. I am pleased - and overwhelmed with the myriad of scenery, addons, and such. I had a few questions to get me started.First, where might I find good free scenery? I have no experience with any but the default, and I would hate to do trial and error when I could get some recommendations. Also, how to install it? I know this has been asked a million times, but I can find no definitive FAQ. What a rotten way to end a perfect flight. I get to the other end and FS Meteo will not kill the wind at the SFC like it is supposed to.(no rudder pedals)It seems to be random and I've checked and double checked my settings in Mteo and FSUIPC. Any Idea's ?Greg

Hello,I don't know if someone has experienced my problems with antialias on Nvidia FX cards, MSI FX5900 non ultra in my situation.I fly with AA set at 4xS with wonderful image quality (can't go back after 4xS). I set 4xS with the NVHardPage tweaker, the default display options do not show 4xS, only 4x.The problem is that at 4xS, the card apply AA also to the ALPHA textures, and you can guess what kind of textures are used to build the clouds... yes ALPHA textures !So when I fly at dense clouds, the frames drop VERY low (5-8 FPS) and I'm flying on a P4 2.8Ghz with 1GB RAM with everything tweaked for max. performance, I fly at 1280x1024x32bits.The 4x mode do not apply AA to…

I tried to load the FFX DC-9 in FS2004 and after I set the fuel I clicked ok and FS2004 crashed. What do I have to do to get this plane working in FS2004?

I have done it hundreds of times in the past, but now i cant remember how to, i have a dell 8300 with no floppydrive, but i have a zip drive and a cd/rw.A freind told me to hit F12 when i boot up, but im not able to find a place where i can type in the format c: it just starts to reinstall windows :), what am i doing wrong.OHN

I have done a clean installation of Windows XP in my computer, because I was having lots of crashes after I did a repair of a damaged windows XP. In the clean Install I just finished yesterday, I updated all the drivers, and added all the Updates included in the Windows Updates Feature.The PC is an Allienware 51M Lap top , P4 2.4, 500 mega Ram, 60 gigas HD, and an ATI 7500 with 64 megas on board. Prior to the repairing of WIN XP, FS9 ran beutifully and gave me good fps (around 17, FPS slider fixed at 18)and good fluidity (no Stutters).After the full reformatting I reinstalled FS9 and with the stock version (no addons, no sceneries) all I get is max 7.5 and very stt…

Hello,I developed a problem with my Garmin 530 GPS from Reality XP. It started to process keystrokes strangely - Non responses and "crazy behavior". I believe that I have found the problem.......This was a tweek I got from the forum for FS9 speedup-%comspec% /C "start /HIGH fs9.exe"...... used in the startup iconI removed it and the problems went away.Maybe this will help others or at least give you a start if you develop similar behavior.Thanks,Ron Sagel

I have a problem with one of the norwegian airports. The file that you can download here at AVSIM. At EBNU I get around a 100 feet offset from the runway to the left. How can I correct this. I keep landing in the snow dunes...maybe I should use the Maule with the snow tires. :)Mikkel

Has anyone else out there experienced the following problem in FS9:-After preparing your flight plan and determining the amountof fuel you'll need, you fill your tanks accordingly (withno more and no less than the amount required)-After being cleared for takeoff, and crossing the hold line,your tanks spontaneously go to full.-If you remember to watch for it before you takeoff, you have togo into the aircraft settings and reset the fuel quantity all over again:-grr -If you don't remember, you end up using most or all of the runway(if you don't go off the end) before you're able to rotate andget your plane off the ground.This happened to me in FS2002, and has happened to me…

Hi folks,I've got a serious problem with my recently installed version of MSFS2004. Whenever trying to fly on a constant altitude with the autopilot turned on and flying with usual cruise speed, I don't manage to get the major aiplanes (eg. 777, 747) into a horizontal flight position. I know that there always has to be a tiny pitch up, but the one I get is really unrealistic (up to ten degrees !). Is there something wrong with my rudders or do I have to change certain settings?Please help me, because flying like that means no fun at all!

Is it possible to A: correct nav frequencies (an ILS Freq in particular) and the identifier for that frequentcy?B: Is there any way to update the approach database for procedures that have changed in the real world? A number of real world GPS approaches no longer match the old ones in FS9 and since I use current plates I would love to be able to change a few of them.

My favorite CRJ panel in FS2K2 is Leon Seale's panel (lscrjpnl) and my favorite B737-200 panel is Fabrizio Berretta's panel (fab732). Can someone please tell me if these panels work in FS9?Thanks!Airbus
