Well we are almost done with the tweaks and edits for this package. The skins for each base seem to be complete and the AFCADS have been finished and are just getting some edits to the flight plans.Michael McIntyre who has done the skin work has done a great job for he just started learning to reskin for this task. Here is a tour of the bases during a flight yesterday. For anyone who has seen the FS-GS site and wondered if there is anything to their claims. There are! I decided to give it a try and spend a few bucks with them to see if it did any good. The difference in FS smoothness a graphics clarity are remarkable! I have a high end machine and thought that I was getting all I could out of it. I WAS WRONG. If you want to "knock your socks off" with FS, give them a try. You won't regret it.And no, I'm not an employee of FS-GS:) But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night:)

What is the proper method of using the reverse thrusters on the default 737? I press F2 on touchdown, but can't seem to stop the aircraft. (Throttle is all the way back after touchdown)

"Hi all, & Merry Christmas",I feel slightly embarassed in asking this question as you all seem like experienced flyers in this forum. I`ve had FS9 for awhile now, but only used it as a "game", just a quick flight in GA type aircraft. Having recently been made redudnant from work (due to ill health), I`ve suddenly got the urge to learn to fly (on pc). I want to learn to fly the "heavies" on IFR. I find all the terms bewildering (s.t.a.r.s, VOR, GPS, DME, etc). My question is, "where do I start ?", any advice on where to go from here would be very welcome. Eventually I like the idea of joining a Virtual Airline !!! but at the moment they would only employ me as a tea-ma…

GunfighterTwo questions regarding the r4d from MAAM (Jan Visser et al).1). Is there an upgrade for FS 2004? I can only find version 7/CD on the MAAM site for FS2002.2). Whenever I use the forward right or right view, I get two superimposed images -- one of the correct (2D) interior, and also the virtual interior. Have unloaded and re-loaded, can't fix the problem. Any suggestions would help. thanks. Greg.

I have a great freeware version of Bordeaux Mergignac for FS2002. The only problem I have in FS2004 is that the AI planes float in the air. Does anybody know how to bring them back down on the ground.

Hey all, i remember back in the days of fs98 (i know it was a long time ago!), there was a freeware package called gpws98, which was installed as an adventure in fs98, which once started up in the sim, would provide very realistc callouts that are heard in most aircraft (Boeing). Examples of featured sounds were "Sink rate" warnings, "Wind shear", "2500", "1000" ,"500" ,"Approaching minimums", "Minimums", "400", "300", "200", "100", "50", "40" ,"30", "20", "10". Those were the one's i can recall. They made such a huge difference to the flying experience in the sim, as they were so realistic, in fact i think they were recorded from an actual motion simulator. Does anyone r…

I'm wondering how I should go about using a program such as FSBuild to plan flights since it includes departing and arriving runways in the plan. How does one handle this if the arriving and departing runway(s) is(are) different than that which is entered in the plan? Is there a way to build a plan without runway info? Should the plan be built after getting enroute weather? If the runway is different, do you just ignore the plan? Is the reason that runways are included that often runway defines the SID or STAR that is used? There, that's enough questions for one post. Thanks for any info!sg

OK...now one of my favorite planes will work in FS2004..because the update appeared today. I just love the sound, the look, and the feel of this plane, and I've missed it.However, I don't like the functionality of the GPS included in the file. I'd like to use the GPS from FS 2004. Is this possible? I've found the the included GPS lacks CERTAIN clickable buttons to set the approach, the runway, and other features. I can't even get the NAV 1 radio to set correctly. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't see any docs with the new update to tell us how to remedy the problem.Anyone else find this to be the case? Stan

After getting the hang of using the PMDG FMC I'm really enjoying the functionality it offers. What I'm wondering now is how many add-ons released for FS2k4 offer an FMC. I know the new 767PIC is just around the corner and who's to say what PSS will do concerning their A320 update (their anti-FS2k4 upgradeable attitude is disturbing). PSS is not promising full FS2k4 compatibility even when the patch comes out for the A320 package. Although I like the A330 package, I'm not a big fan of long haul flights. I don't know of any other add-on

I'm hoping someone can answer this for me. I'm trying to change the AI taxi speed in FS2004 and I can't get any of the utilities to work. I think the problem may be that both FS2002 and FS2004 are installed. The utilites only seem to recognize FS2002 and I don't see a way to point them to FS2004.I've tried AISpeed and TaxiSpeed.Doesn anyone know if it's possible to change this of both sims are installed. Thanks very much!

Download link: http://windrfters.com/CubFs9a.zip (You don't need the original package to install the updated planes)The announcement by Bill and Lynn Layons: http://members5.boardhost.com/golden/msg/2926.htmlThe FS2002 flight model did not work too well in FS9, now it's much better! And those new tundra tires are soooo cute ;)VOlker :]

Just got FS9....no prob installing, but I get a CTD everytime. Crash happens when I have selected ac/flight and click on "fly now." Sim loads fast and fine up to 77%, when weather starts loading, then I get the CTD every single time. No help in the MS error message (no reference to dll's etc).Have no 3rd party AC or scenery. Searched and found some crashes related to seasonal changes...tried all those fixes, including new terrain cfg. from german site...no change.Any ideas greatly appreciated! Dell 1.8, 512 RAM, GeForce 3, 5303 drivers....never a problem running fs2002.Regards
