Hello:I've searched high and low in the forums and can't seem to find any reference to this.Can any one tell me how to adjust the volume of a wave file? I would like to lower the volume of one so that it is not so irritating. I tried removing it, but the aircraft panel or whatever kept hunting for it and caused the sim to stutter. It is only used during the landing phase and the stutter at that point does not help my appoaches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks maxsdad

Could anybody kindly recommend a 2d panel to replace the Fs2004 default B737 panel. I notice that there are a few in the file library and also Fsim.com has a couple.Thanks Barry

I may have some free time soon and was interested in developing a new flight sim utility. For those who don't know me, I've made the Audio Player Configurator and A330 Livery Configurator in the past. More information is at the link below. I'm looking to develop an external utility (not in the sim or a gauge) for FS2004 which will be most likely free unless it's immensely complicated. Any ideas are appreciated. Am I missing something? I could undock windows in FS2002 and make good use of my three monitors by spreading the overhead panel, radio panel, FMC etc etc - why can't I do it in FS9? Or is there a way that I haven't found yet?

Get the airshow.zip here. It's a blast in FS2004. It has all of the old vintage planes conducting touch and goes at Oshkosh and three other fields. It is simple to install. Just four AFCAD's and one bgl file. I sat there in the Mobile Control Tower, which is also available here, and watched and listened to the planes takeoff and land. While I was flying into Rabat this morning, I noticed something very odd. I had my radio tuned to Casablanca Approach (125.1 MHz, I think it was), but after I did that I was continuously receiving "automated weather observations" from two small airfields in the area (GMFM/Bassatine and GMSL/Sidi Slimane) which I could not get to stop. The problem was that these automated weather observations, which were apparently broadcast on the very same frequency as that of Casablanca Approach, clogged my radio channel completely, so I could not communicate with ATC any more.I was now thinking about using AFCAD 2 to change the offending frequencies for these two airfields, but am not…

Dear all,Can you guys please assist me? My PC coped with FS2002 quite well, great quality and frame rates but sadly FS9 is a bit of a slide show. Hi,I'm not sure what I did, but now when I try to load FS2004 in "full screen mode," it crashes when "loading weather" at about the 76 percent point (this is after selecting the create a flight options). I get a mssg saying FS2004 has encountered an error.The interesting thing is that this does not happen if I load FS2004 in non-full screen mode (alt + tab).Any ideas? I must have installed a texture or something that FS doesn't like.thanks.

CTD, another one!!Get the splash screen, comes up for a second, then FS9 just fades away.I ctrl-alt-del, to check the processes that are up. FS9 shows up after I click on the icon, so does ~E5D141.tmp (no idea what that is) and wmiprvse.exe as well. Never noticed the wmi process showing up, I'm assuming FS9 is trying to load something. I've changed two things since the last successful flight with FS9. I updated NAVDATA and ran ActiveRadar Connector2 (AS2004) with AS2004 on my WideFS computer.No joy though, anyone have any ideas what's causing this?Thanks,

Greetings all...just getting fs9 to run fairly well on my system (Pentium 1.8, 512 RAM, GeForce 3)...thx to all of you who have contributed so many good tweaks!Curious if the new fs9 airport scenery for ATL, PHX, DEN, etc. should be left alone, or if I should use the addon scenery available (Gary Wildup, Mahoney, et. al.). Would appreciate any feedback esp on whether or not my framerates around these airports would be better with the improved default scenery or these addons...thanks very much!Regards,

I'm looking for a freeware program to help manage all my downloads. I have several CDs full of zips from all the standard catagories (Original Aircraft, Scenery, Scenery Design etc.). I also have quite a number on my hard drive. I need a program that will read in all the file names from these sources by catagory to let me know what I have. Then an interface that will prompt me when I try to download something I already have on one of my CDs would be helpful. I do my downloading from a computer that has DSL, but my game is on a different computer. That's why I have to do it this way.Does anyone know of something that would help? I recently upgraded my hardware to an Athlon XP 3000+ processor, so I was anxious to try out FS9 on my new setup. I was disappointed to find that it stutters like crazy. It consistently goes 19.8, 4.3, 19.8, 4.3.I decided to change things up. I set my AGP aperture to 128 (which is also the memory size on my GeForce 4 card) and I deleted the FS9. cfg and let it create a new one, using the dafult FS9 settings minus full screen mode. I was pleased to find that ALL stutters were completely gone. When I came back later to do another flight, restarting FS, the stutters had returned!! I'm back to square 1. When I go into Smartgart it says AGP is turned off and I can't turn it back on. It's set to 4 in my bios, and I know that it was at 4 in Smartgart a few days ago, or last time I looked. Thoughts?billg

Weird problem I'm having after doing a system restore to try and fix my black screen issue, the splash screen will show, but then I'm booted back to the desktop before getting to the main screen. Any ideas?

I just upgraded from Windows ME and FAT 32 allocation tables to Windows XP Professional. During the upgrade the hard drives still use FAT 32. Is there any advantage with FS 2004 to converting to dynmamic hard drives, i.e., NTFS format verses remaining at FAT 32. Thanks in advance. Happy holiday to all.
