BAe-RJ Panel Version 2. for FS2004 (9.11.2003)By Targan UNUTMAZ.D/L'd the above - great panel !Having some difficulty getting the bottom of the throttle quadrant & adjacent sub-panels to show (bottom of panels). With my settings - (1280 x 1024 x 32), I am unable to "see" the bottom of the throttle, spoiler, and flap lever panels. They are below the cut-off of the screen view - and accordingly - I'm unsure if this is a display setting effect, or if someone has a suggestion for how to get the bottom of these panels to show. Thanks for any help.RonChuluota, Fl.P - 2.8ATI 9700 ProAsus P4PE1 meg rametc.

I'll get right to the point... I own both FS2002 and FS2004, installed on different but almost identical PCs. As a developer, I need to ensure compatibility with both platforms as you can imagine. So here's my experiment:I took default "lear45" folder from FS2004 and installed it in place of the default "lear45" folder in FS2002. To make sure there were no conflicts, I completely deleted the FS2002 version before adding the FS2004 files. Guess what? It doesn't work! The plane can be selected, but there is no rotating model representation at the bottom, and the model doesn't show in FS2002!So I submit this to you for discussion: Is the FS2004 Learjet a true Gmax model? If …

Hi,Has anyone experienced a fault that I now have with FS2002 in that:The ILS bearings have all changed by around 110 degrees, as example,Bangkok (VTBD) R21 was 209 degree`s and is now given as 319 degree`s.Also, the VOR`s have also changed by around the same amount of degree`s.!!!!! This appears to apply to all airports not just Bangkok!!If anyone can throw some light on how this fault has happened Iwould be most appreciative of assistance to resolve.Happy New Year To allYours John (Jumbo)

Interesting observation. Got kicked out of FS9 because I ran out of Virtual Memory. I have 1GB RAM, so don't have a Vdisk, but have never had this problem before. Thought I'd check to see what was eating up my 1gb and FS9 was using 776mb of it. I've had FS9 on for a day or so, on pause, as I have a switch to go beween multiple computers, but that's still a lot of RAM for an application to be using. It must be using more and more over time...rgds,billg

When flying in FS9 there is a clear line between sharp ground textures and blurry that moves in a radius around the A/C. How can I increase this radius so the sharp textures extend further out? I have tried the follow adjustment from the anchored post above with no noticeable change. A) Open your fs9.cfg file, and modify the following lines:TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=4.50000 Any thoughts?

to all:I was curious if anyone out in FS-land either knows, or has considered designing a Piaggio P.180 for FS9? i know that there are models for FS2002 but they are designed in FSDS and are incompatable with FS9. I Personally work very closely to these aircraft and have in the last couple of months these aircraft have somewhat grown on me. to develpers i am able to get ANY details that might b needed, including photographs, as i work in and around these aircraft on a daily basis.~AJ Gates

Just curious. We've been beating this to death, got new clouds, new water textures, fixed this, fixed that, got this working, recognize that that is never going to work so leave it alone, argh, a whole lot of work by a whole lot of skilled and dedicated people and not one word out of Microsoft. Must be nice, do a release, sit back, work on the next one, and let us take care of this one...Just my thoughts...billgEDIT: sorry, feeling ornery this morning. After a reinstall blah blah...

Which scenery do you use for JFK?I know that the default one uses GMAX and the Simflyers one doesnt and the simflyers one looks more realistic but eyecandy isnt everything. So would just like some feedback if anyone uses Simflyers in FS2004 and what its like compared to the default one which is quite good in itself.Thanking you in advanceCraigK

Is is possible to play fs2002 without having to use disk 3 every time? My cd is really starting to get scratched and I was hoping there was a way to extract the files that it needs to the hard drive instead so it doesn't need the CD. I realize there is a nocd hack for fs2004, but is there something similar for 2002?

Hello All,I have been away from the flight simulation hobby for some time now, but have returned and am loving how it has progressed! I am in love with the PMDG 737 addon, as I fly it all the time. However, in coming back to the hobby I was thinking that I would develop an application to contribute back to the community. Now, I know a fully featured flight planner that hopefully would grow to be the FliteStar of FS would be a lot of fun to program. I was just wondering, would the community be interested in such an application?Sincerely,Nathan NeitzkeEmbry Riddle Aeronautical UniversityDaytona Beach, FL 32114

I downloaded the C119 Fairchild Flying Boxcar, and I really like this aircraft. The VC is pretty good, and the plane can be flown from the most part from there, but the image of the yoke covers most of the HSI. Is there any way to edit it out? I tried the Shift 1-9 keys, and none of them will remove the yoke as I have found in some other A/C. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I have looked around and Im coming up empty. Does anyone know of a good version of an ATR, DASH 8, Dornier, or even a 1900D for FS 2004? I cant find anything that is payware and I have found a few free ones from Italy that are okay, but they have some problems. Other ones I find have nice external models, but they use a 737 panel and controls.Im looking for any solid twin turbo prop, but of good quality. Is there such a thing for FS9 yet? Payware or freeware.

Hello,I've noticed that I cannot use the Help index within FS2004 anymore because the page will not scroll properly. I can select the "D"s, for example, but when I try to scroll down within the "D"s then it jumps to "E"s on the bottom half of the screen. Has anyone else run into this? How did you fix it?Thanks,Kurt

Hello,Maybe I'm overlooking something here for Flight Simulator 2004. But, does anyone know where I can find a key command reference card, or some other document that lists all the FS2004 commands? Thanks for any help you might be able to provide!Steve

  20. I'm thinking of getting USB pedals for xmas to replace my gameport ones. I have no complaints about the gameport ones, but with that mode the joystick choices have become more and more limited. Also, I've been strongly considering going to a force-feedback stick, especially if force feedback exhibits any feel for sidereal motion at touchdown.Currently I have CH pedals and stick. Thanks in advance for any input.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-03 AT 07:29 PM (EST) I must plead ignorance concerning "RAID" and "Serial ATA" upgrades. Two questions:1. Would there be any significant performance improvement in my system as described below for upgrades relative to a harddrive or drives? (Exclusive to FS9 performance)Mr. Moderator, if I should have posted this in the hardware forum, please move it, or let me know and I will put it there, but this improvement is only relative to improvement in FS9 performance, so I thought that it might be appropriate here.2. Where is a good tutorial and explaination concerning the newest harddrive provisions available, and how to install and set them up?Note: I am…

For some reason, on Wednesday this week (after having been out of town for 6 days) I started having magnetic heading offsets (errors) when trying to fly MS FS2002. I always start up using the default MS 737 with avionics on, at Malaga airport in Spain. The heading is right on the money. Then I'd reposition the airplane to, say, EGBB (Birmingham) or ESSA (Stockholm) and find that my mag heading was way off. Yesterday it was off about 35 to 40 degrees; today it is off by 105 degrees. For example, today at EGHH (Bournemouth) on runway 26, the indicated heading is 005 deg. On runway 08, the indicated magnetic heading is 185.I do not have any failures selected in FS2002,…

Why is it every time you delete a scenery from FS2004 you have to go into the scenery cfg file and re-number everything starting from where the deleted scenery was?Today I deleted a Boston Logan scenery (to install a new version) and after I deleted the scenery all the numbers starting from the Boston scenery on was out of order and I had to go re-number them again. Then after I installed the new scenery I had to go back and put a space in between the scenery entries. This isn't a problem, but it is just annoying that I have to do that everytime.
