Does anyone know if there is a tool for FS2004 that let's you select your flight before opening FS? There was one for FS2002 called FLTSEL by Chuck Dome, I believe. It does not work in FS2004. Thanks.Pat Callaghan

Hi allI downloaded the demo last night and spent hours trying to get it working. Initial install takes a few seconds and goes well. Click OK on the window asking for FSHotseat to configure itself. This leaves the machine in a state that is totally unusable. Processor activity is at 100% with FSHotseat being the cycle hog. It can take 5 minutes to open a single window / Start Menu. It seems to go through the install process with the MP3

Is there a good utility for managing global (not aircraft) texture files? The only one I have found is FS Scenery Manager, but it simply permits mass backups. I am looking for something that would allow me to try the various clound replacements, etc. and perhaps move them in and out of a "library".Any thoughts?Joe

In the weather options in FS2004 what does the "rate at which weather changes over time" slider do? If you put the on "None" and dowload the real world weather, will the weather still change? Or does it have to be on "Mild"

The Utva seems to be a top notch FS2004 freeware aircraft. I only took it up for a quick spin but it is very impressive. The 2d & 3d panels are great and so by the way is the documentation. Kudos for a great job to the team that put it together: by Goran Savic, FSDS2 model by Luka Midic. I am amazed by the quality of work in the freeware area. I have several aircraft, a mix of payware and freeware. It really makes it a pleasure to explore the newest releases. My last payware was the B-25 from MAAM and it is great. And, what about the freeware Cessna 195? What a beautiful airplane. I was so impressed with the realair Cessna 172 that I am considering the payware…

Can anyone tell me where there is a clock on the panels? I'm finding it difficult to tell the time for my departure while in the cockpit. The only thing I find is the time of flight on an Airbus 320. On the 737,757, etc. I still cannot find it.Another question I have unrelated is regarding ground support traffic. I am curious if its available in FS 2004 and if so, how do I get it to workThanks Renaud

Seasons Greetings to allAm doing some Xmas Eve flying in my PMDG 737NG following a tutorial from KJFK to KORD. All is well unless I try and add traffic using the TRAFFIC SLIDER. Anymore than 0% and FS9 crashes to desktop with the usual "send info to Microsoft" window. All appears to be fine when I fly with traffic in the UK or Europe so could anyone give me any hints what I need to do to check what is crashing FS9? Presumably something to do with the traffic is corrupted? I have no default MS traffic I am using FSTraffic 2002 and PAI traffic. I have tried using the original AFCAD and the latest AFCAD2 for KJFK but it still crashes at the airport AND in-flight while flying…

How do you get a good GPS landing the with out over shooting the runway ?

When flying from New York to Wilmington, DE, I received a direction change command from ATC very 3 minutes to go from 290 to 255 to 290 to 255...............etc. Is this a bug in the program? Is there a solution? I got fed up and cancelled IFR.

I had a situation today that I haven't encountered before since I fly mostly General Aviation. The tale is this...I decided I that I would try my hand at one of the heavies. So I setup an A320 at my hometown airport that is controlled, has three of the major air carriers (Delta - 757, Northwest - DC9 and Southwest - B737), and serves as home to an ANG KC135 unit. So far with FS9, I have just dutifully complied with the runway assignment without much thought.This particular airport has two intersecting runways, 18 - 36 and 5 - 23. 18/36 is 1600 feet long, 75 feet wide, has no precision approach and in the real world, is used for small GA. 5/23 intersects 18/36 about 3…

I have a pretty full suite of Goflight equipment that I love but it seems to be getting zapped with static electricity now that winter is here. I'm told that grounding it should protect it but I'm not sure what to ground it to. Is the screw in the middle of a 3prong electrical outlet grounded? I assume it is connected to the outlet box which must be grounded. I suppose I could stick a wire in the 3rd hole of the outlet but something about that doesn't seem right. Anyone? ThanksDavid

I like to look at the AI aircraft during my flights by using the "chase view" option, ctrl-w (shows one plane at a time, but you can see them all individually by continuing to press ctrl-w). But, it shows all the AI aircraft, including those just sitting at gates. This can be a lot if you are in the vicinity of a major hub, such as KORD or KDTW, at the "wrong" time of the day.Is there any command that can be entered into the fs9.cfg file (or anywhere else), that restricts the chase plane view to just aircraft in the air?Thanks.

Hi,I'm pretty sure I saw it on Avsim a couple weeks ago.Someone posted a link to a Flight Tracker website that offered a 24 hour free trial.What made this flight tracker site unique is that it showed the history of the aircraft on any given day -previous flight numbers- along with routing filed with ATC.Does anyone have the address for this site?I searched, but cannot find it.Thanks!

I do not have a DVD player on my computer. When a newly released title, like the RealScene title that is being advertised in the AVSIM store, is being released on a "DVD data set", am I to presume that I would have no way of being able to get the data onto my computer since I do nat have a DVD player on my computer?
