I was trying to get ready to apply voice recognition to FS2004 when I discovered that my microphone does not seem to work at all. My line-in works ok. I am able to record through it but not through a micrphone in the mike-in input. I Checked the volume control for both inputs, they were the same.I would appreciate it if somebody can show me what to do to make my microphone to work.Thanks.Abe

My wife gave me a set of 2 video tapes, of a Martinair MD-11 flight from EHAM to Majorka(sp?),and back to EHAM. This video really shows the sophistication of this aircraft. I understand that someone is doing a fully blown panel for the MD-11, I hope I'm right in that assumption as I can't wait to try it.I know that the MD-11 doesn't match up to the B777 or the latest Airbus aircraft, but it sure is a great aircraft to look at!Thanks,Bruce.

I just bought a Thrustmaster Afterburner Forcefeed joystick today at compusa. Seems to work pretty good, except I don't get forcefeedback with FS2004. I tried to go to Thrustmasters home page to see if there were updated drivers, but their page does not exsist. Are they still in business or have the folded up or been bought out by someone? Is there another site to download software for it? Thanks for any info.Robert

I was a very intense user of FS98, FS2000, FS2002. In the last 1-2 years I have drifted away from spending much time with FS (new job, new house, etc. etc.) but recently bought FS2004 and just got it installed. I am playing around with it and so far like what I see but have a couple of very basic questions that I'm sure can be answered by the users of this forum:(1) On start-up, FS2004 "demands" that disk 4 be installed in my drive....I remember FS2000 or 2002 did this, and there was a work-around....is there one for FS2004?(2) I see a lot of screenshots with "real life" airplanes, airlines, & flights incorporated as the FS2004 artificial traffic....what program doe…

I've just upgraded to FS2004 from fs2002. I was hoping the movement of the AI and HI would be smoother and more fluid in '04. However, I can't see any difference from the jerky movement in '02. I only use the sim for IFR activity, practicing approaches around my local area. Is there a good add on aircraft to use that has really smoothed the action of the two instruments (heading indicator and attitude indicator). The AC115, back in fs200, was the best I've seen. Any available now for my needs? Thanks...Roger

Ciao all,well... actually the patch solves most of the CTDs... but unfortunatly not all! Always in winter... always over Alps.... always with non default landclass... with Italy Landpack (http://www.aliditalia.com/downloads/Italylandpack-versione4.zip) near Zirigh and with the patch installed I get thousands of crashes... :-(I had many other confirm about it... any solutions?Ciao, Arrex/2

In the posky 757 readme its says it has wing views and 3d F/A's. But I can't seem to get to that view... So could any one help me get to this view?GJ

With fs 9 and the way the fantastic scenery these guys are coming out with it's nice to get out of the heavies and real world procedures on line and fly vfr to appriciate the scenery. So i downloaded Shigeru's mustang to do it in. I have the awesome Dream fleet Archer for vfr but it's cool to dip down in the valley's in real weather with this cause it really goes.It has no radioes so you need the gps at least. Does any one know some speeds like when do you start flaps down and up - what manifold setting in cruise and take off what rpm should a guy use ? Just basic settings more or less. Posting here also. Was originally posted in another area, please help.I have downloaded the Airbus A320 planes. They are fantastic and handles extremely well. But I am having one problem that I need help on trying to solve.When I select a Airbus to fly I get error messages concerning the gauges.Not found ?GAUGESA320.GAU.GAUAGESairbus.mA320.GAU.I can continue and fly but even when I select a different plane I get the same error messages. If I need to reinstall the gauges to correct the problem where can I find them ?

Could anyone please describe when aircraft lights are turned on and off during all phases of a flight? I'm flying jets - primarily 737NG and 767-300.I know some events - like landing lights turned on at take-off, off at 10,000ft and on again when descending below 10,000ft but I'm not sure about wing lights (anti-collision/beacon?), strobes, navigation and taxi.I'm currently only switching on nav lights after dark. I use beacon lights (flashing red on fuselage top and bottom) from pushback to park; strobes (flashing on wings and tail) once I've started to taxi until I park and taxi lights after switching off landing lights after a landing.It would be better to use them cor…

Since I replaced my default jets (the Boeings, the DASH propjet, and the MD-83) with PAI models, flying with AI around has been a blast. I spent almost ten hours in a session with FS2004 yesterday, and finally ended it with a 2hr. flight in HJG/FFX's 990 from Spain to EHAM... What a thrill it was to be on my descent into EHAM, and vectored between AI cruising at a 90 degree angle to my flight path, watching their contrails as two jets crossed my view seconds apart... There's a nice trick BTW which often goes overlooked... If you switch to spot view and press Ctrl/W, you can cycle through spot views of all of the AI in your area... In one instance, I cycled to an MD-83…

Sorry i should of explained it better..can scenary is a name for canadian scenery i had domain for this quite a while waiting for doq from ottawa..bluejayscenary is usa senary sorry for this confusion as far as other posts on this subject im new to this forum ..but i will assure you you will have screenshots very shortly..i guess in shorti would not post anything i was not going to do....but proof will come shortly...yes i know about pojection all the maps will be in the fs2004 projection and all airports aligned with real world cordsas far as autogenation not sure on that..but will let you know..i decided to use fu3 maps because of their good resoulution..and more covera…

I had this posted here a couple (maybe three weeks ago) and just don't know what to do.After a four flight to KSLN, I arrive with my piston twin and cancel IFR (Radar Contact) since it's severe clear. The wind, from FS Meteo, is 235 at 18 knots. So, I call up the tower. They tell me make right base 35.KSLN has runways 12/30, 17/35 and 4/22. Hum...Rt Base, 35. Wind at 235. According to my math, that's a quartering tailwind on final. Not good..says I.I want to change to Runway 22 but the option is not there. How do I change the runway assignment when the in-built ATC gives me the wrong runway????BobL
