After reading the post about add on mesh out there for the US, I decided to try out the preview version of RealScene 2004. I was thoroughly impressed at the improvements to the default FS scenery! Since the Microsoft devs quietly frequent this forum for feedback and thoughts, I'd like to present one:For FS2006, why not:- Rework the scenery engine so that the world is truly round instead of flat... so that airports at extreme longitudes don't seem to shift above their scenery, and aircraft that can fly at higher altitudes might actually be able to see the curvature of the earth.- Along with this huge improvement, why not incorporate some updated mesh/landclass data as Mr…

Hi,I am more and more disappointed by way FS2004 handles graphics and sounds. Some days ago I sold my brand new Geforce FX5600 XT which was obviously too weak for FS9. I purchased a Sapphire 9600 XT 128 MEG. With the Geforce I had acceptables 30 Fps with clear weather but with real clouds enabled the frame rate was going down to 5 even 4 fps,..... a shame, indeed for a so called state of art software. Displays options were set at 50% for almost every settings . With the Sapphire 9600 XT I went to an asthonishing 75 Fps with everything at 100% in the display setting and DX 3D settings at max too, I mean eveything set for quality and not for performances. I read today that the EMB-170 was certified in the U.S. and Europe, and that deliveries can begin. That got me wondering as to whatever happened to Dreamwings and their 170. Did a search on Google, and found them alive and well, and working on an all new 170...I've looked at the shots posted on their site, and it's much closer to the 170 than before--it looks outstanding.... While looking at video cards at my local Best Buy, I noticed that most of the new cards including the Radeon 9000 AGP series recommend at least a 300 watt power supply. I asked the store tech and he agreed. He said there would be blackouts on my computer and that I would not get full power to the card otherwise. He sold me a standard looking 300 watt power supply along with a Radeon 9800 pro card. When I got home, I soon discovered that the new power supply would no way fit into my proprietary Gateway computer. I've been experiencing the same problem as described onsome earlier posts where the screen goes black and thehourglass goes into a frenzy while switching screen modes.Yesterday I upgraded to 56.55 Nvidia drivers and since thenI have had no problem switching from Full screen to desktop using the Alt or Windows key. However the problem stillpersists when switching from Full screen to window mode,to for example start sqkbox using fshost.dll. The subject a/c designed for FS2002 functions very well in FS2004 with one exception. The engine nacelles are void of any internal components, fan-blades etc. Can anyone suggest a fix?

Hello everyone;Well, I made the plunge and bought a new computer system last week and outfitted it with the FS2004. So I've now said goodbye to FS2002 and on to (hopefully) better weather and an improved flight sim.With that, here's my question: I noticed that when I set the weather for "real world" weather, it seemed to display the visibility like a "curtain", if you will. I have just reinstalled FS9 and have no Prop Wash Dust from the helicopters. Hi everybody,Finally got my fs configured to almost work they way i want it to, but ofcourse there has to be something wrong.Im not sure if anyone can help me with this, but whenever i hit Print Screen to take a screenshot, my pc totally freezes. As there's been some discussion of FS2004 & anti-virus apps here recently, let me share this recent experience:Yesterday one of my business clients was hit by MyDoom.F. It was a disaster--the virus randomly deleted hundreds of Word, Excel, Access, and graphics files from their network and connected desktops and laptops. As they hadn't backed up their network since last December, they're really SOL. Once the virus was contained, the best I could do was help them recover the deleted files via a file restore utility, but that only recovered about 75% of their deleted files. Last night I installed the PSS 777 into FS2004, and undocked the window... guess what.. ALL the CRT gauges which were black before appear on hte undoked window So if you are fortunate to have a multiple monitor setup, could you not just drag the panel down to the second monitor, and then it works?? I don't have a 2 monitor setup, but if someone does maybe they can try it out.Chris

Hello,Some addon aircrafts do not provide a "pitot heat" switch in the 2d cokpit or in the Trottle window as consequence the speed drops to "0" after a certain time.How can I activate the "Pitot Heat" with the keyboard?Someone said "Shift-h" or "Ctrl-h" ???Or is it possible to always have the "Pitot heat" swithed on with an option in the aircraft.cfg?Thanks in advance

Does anyone else have this issue. The PFD wont display. The EICAS is full of error messages and the MCD is dark. I can't change anything on the glaresheild. I have install and uninstalled twice, same issues keep coming back. Running MSFS2002 on XP.
