I just love the new Eagelsoft Citation X. It flies beautifully, and looks so real. Love the Deluxe model with the pilot and passenger animations.But....there' a learning curve. So prepare yourself for it. I've read some of the documentation and figured out speed settings, vs settings, altitude, etc on the AP, but for the life of me, I still haven't figured out how to adjust heading and hit a glideslope. I'm sure I will figure it out, but it's NOT the same as the planes most of us are used to. The Eaglesoft forum isn't accepting posts, so I thought I'd post here. Hello everyone,I have two general questions... Just how is the aircraft weight in real world being measured? I'm aware that they can measure the weight of the cargo, luggage and fuel being loaded, but how the hell do they measure the weights of the passengers and their hand luggage!? I could imagine that it matters though, if the passengers in total have more or less 10,000 lbs.And second question is, on long haul flights, like 12 hours Heathrow - Hong Kong, do the captain and first officer always sit at the cockpit, are they allowed to get up from the seat, go for a walk, etc? On which basis are they allowed to be absent, if yes?

I just checked the size of my Flight Simulator 9 directory. It is 11.7 GB !! (Does Windows include all the subdirectory sizes, when you ask for the properties of the FS9 folder?). The largest folder I have under this is the MegaSceneryLA folder. This directory reports to be 5.32 GB, Can someone please confirm these numbers.I have added many aircraft over time, the aircraft folder is 2.7 GBI guess I am somewhat surprised that MegaScenery is 5.32 GB. I really like this scenery but want to confirm something is not wrong.

Is there a freeware download out there that has very fluid flight instrument motion? I need a relatively non complex aircraft to practice IFR activities with. I upgraded to the FSD 2004 version of the AC115 hoping it would do the job. Flys great but the instrument motion is just the same jerky stuff in the MS stock aircraft. The best they had was the AC115 for FS2000. Any freeware out there that has focused on smooth IFR? Thanks...Roger

Hey there guys, I was on the reality-xp site and came across a link to a site that has produced a video based on a real flight between Boeing Field in Seattle Washington to Bellingham International in Bellingham Washington in the Piper Meridian. It's taken over 2 hours to download the 400mb file, but it's well worth it. There is also a DVD available. Ok im in search of a new flight planner to use with fs2004 for IFR plans.I already know of FSBUILD, FSNAVIGATOR & FSCommander, so im looking for something other than these 3.- FSBuild as far as i can tell has NO airport/rwy info- FSNAV can only be used from within the sim (i want a stand alone)- FS Commander is great except for 1 major flaw - you cant pull any waypoints/navaids from a searchable list/database to quickly add to your plan as in most planners. The only way to add a waypoint is to first find it on the map and click as you go along. This is too time consuming for longer range preferred IFR routes where it can be dificult to find intersections by visually s…

Hi!Is it true that the trend vector (in my opinion avery good invention) is only available in Boeing aircraft? Never seen a trend vector on any airliners.net pictures nor has any airbus add-on (PSS, Wilco) modelled them.Just wondering because it's really easier to intercept LOCs, radials, etc. if you have it installed.Any ideas why airbus don't have them?Regards,StefanBTW: Not talking about the PFD speed-trend vector

Im currently using the Ultimate Traffic program for my AI, it works great and it seems that frame rates are not hit too bad as long as I dont overdo it. With decent AFCAD files and about 40% AI I have some realistic looking stuff going on. My problem is frame rates take a pretty big hit If I go much above what I have right now. This sim does not handle AI real well IMHO. What I am wondering is, is there enough of a difference in using the Aardvark models to replace my PAI ones for better fps? If its not a big difference I wont bother as IMHO its not worth the work. Im not an AI junky, I'd rather have some decent frames than hundreds of aircraft in line around me. Actually…

Hi simmers,I recently installed the perfect IFDG A320 and wanted to use Marciano's 320 panel (most recent version plus the patch). I did and I cannot get a full dark cockpit. On the pedestal is a switch to switch on/off the radio's and FMC and CRT's. Some time ago it worked perfectly, but now it doesn't. The other change I did on my FS system was to install a registerd version of FSUIPC (most recent version). Can it be that I have to install a program key for the panel? I searched Pete's forum, but couldn't find an answer.Does anybody have this problem or does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this problem?Oh, by the way, I still use the great FS version FS2K2 .:-lol

Hi, can someone help a newbie? :-wave I know that mixture has to be leaned while climbing, but I know nothing about condition levels (see King air 350). Is it the same thing as the mixture level? What is the correct way to use them?Any help is greatly appreciated - Thanx in advance :-) Rino

Do anybody know how to stop white buildings to appear and disappear in the landscape. It makes me think of a Xmas tree. These structures must be generated. But instead of appearing then staying where they are they just pop on pop off all the time. Which parameter should I modify?Roger

Hey guys and girls. I'm seeing very very low framerates for fs2004 even with sliders at normal to sparse and hoping to buy and use the PMDG 737, but I hear the framerates decrease a lot! I want to get a new computer very soon, something that would max-out performance while having all the sliders close to maximum. I'm curious to see what ideas you guys have thats not too over the top in price, something around $1500. Ideas for graphics card, RAM, CPU/Motherboard. Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone had any information or knew how to replace the UT AI aircraft with the more visually stunning AI Aardvark aircraft without too much of a hassle. I have a request for all panel and gauge designers to consider. Some of us flight simmers don't have the eyes we used to have and as you get older, certain color combinations become more difficult to see. For example, dark blue on black, magenta or red on black. We can change the resolution easily enough but the color schemes are generally fixed.Not being a gauge programmer, I'm going to assume that there are color variables set somewhere. I'm wondering how much work it would be to include alternate color schemes or the ability to change certain colors in the gauges.Just MHO,Vic

In the settings for this card what does Truform do? Does it have any effect on FS2004? Right now I have that setting off, Would I get even better graphics with the Truform setting turned on? Thanks

I was wondering if anyone out there is using the instructor station that comes with FS9COF?I have my notebook computer networked (peer to peer) to my desktop and I was wondering if I can use a program like WideFS to run the instructor station on my notebook computer while FS9 is running on my desktop.If WideFS can't be used to do this, do I have to install FS9 fully on my notedbook too or is there a smaller module just for the instructor station that needs to be installed?Any input is appreciated!Happy Simming!Scott :-smile12ATP/CFII - KCOS, in the real aviation world.

Just checked out their web site and the Airbus panel looked pretty interesting. Then I saw the price--$399. Ouch. Just wondering what's included for that kind of money. Looks good, but a bit pricey imho. billg

Hi!Recently, I installed a new airplane into FS2002 and after that, I tried to load FS in and got slapped with a problem with traffic.dll...FS2002 thought it was an incompatible third-party add-on and asked if I wanted to load it anyway. i said yes and a moment later, it crashed. If I told it to skip the traffic.dll, it still crashed with a problem in main.dll.I had a friend send me his copies of the two files in the hopes that it would solve the problem. No such luck. Even adding it to the "oldmodules" part of the config file didn't work and removing the config also failed.Any hints on how to solve the problem without re-installing the program?

Just tried these drivers. Everything seems to work OK. except fs9. It just won't boot up.I get the opening screen for about 4 seconds, then nothing. Roll back to the Omega 45.23a and it starts up fine. I follow the installation instructions to the letter. Anyone have any idea where I'm going wrong ( 'cos I bet it's me )Russell.
