All,I use the REFRESH SCENERY assignment extensively when flying in fs9 especially over MegaScenery due to the blurs. What controls this functionality in FS9? Is there a SDK for this?If we could somehow have this run on the back end without having to to stop the sim, this would be a nice benefit for all 737 and 777 simmers flying over 250 mph.TP

This great livery was made by Beano. I took her for a testflight yesterday. Sometimes you make a picture you just HAVE to share with others. If you turn the sound off, "Sound Off" is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. Is there anyway to remove it, as there is with "Brakes" display on the screen?Thanks in advance. Brad

Hey... does anyone know how to fix the ATC for fs2004 to say like "three seventeen" instead of "three-one-seven"???

I have seen several posts referring to Chris' Clouds and also changing aperture setting from 128 to 256 depending on ram. Could someone please tell me about the clouds and are they better than the MS FS default ones as well as where can I find them, and how do I access this aperture setting to change it?? Thanks. Tom

Hi all.Haven't flown a flight sim since MSFS98. Picked up COF & WOW, a lot has changed. I'm trying to sort through all the new stuff & down loads available to enhance the terrain & scenery.Simple question I think: I know what the meshes do (there are some great ones avalable, thanks to the authors) but I'm confused on the difference between the scenery add on's & landclass add on's. Scenery is pretty self explanitory so what is a landclass?Can someone elaborate on this for me?TIAJim

When running FS2004 with my Saitek X45 joystick, I notice immediately after loading a new flight, the wings don't stay level at all and the plane keeps gradually banking to the left. This never happened to me in FS2002. And it occurs no matter which plane I fly. It's as if one of the ailerons is stuck...I use aileron trim to adjust it, but that still doesn't work - I'm constantly fighting it. This is very annoying and I can't concentrate on the flying lessons or *any* flight for that matter.Bottom line - is there a setting I can change in FS2004.cfg or elsewhere so the aircraft will stop banking like this? Has anyone else noticed this?Thanks in advance for any suggestions…

This post is a thank you to Holger Sandmann and to Bill/Lynn Lyons. There is one reason.I had a hard day today and just wanted to relax. I figured I'd fire up one of my old school airplanes... No ATC...no radio. Just a old school VFR flight. So I fired up FS9 and selected the Lyons Stinson, which is my favorite "chill out" airplane simply because its awesome. I also selected to fly in early evening between Penicton and Vernon British Columbia near Kelowna. Put on my favorite pure instrumental CD (Isla del Sol by Armik) and flew down the lake to Vernon and back with the musak playing. with Holgers scenery and Bills airplane plus the music...I just so thoroughly enj…

I installed Helio Estrela's A330 Airbus panel, and in the process an FSSound.dll file was placed in the FS9 Modules folder. In order to avoid an error message when loading FS9, I edited the FS9 cfg file,adding the lines: OLD MODULES (entered in square brackets) fssound.dll=1I saved this addition in the FS9 cfg file. However, everytime I load FS9 I still get the error message. I checked the FS9 cft file and the added lines are there. Should OLD MODULES BE entered as one word OLDMODULES ?Any suggestions?ThanksStanner

I installed the Helio Estrela Airbus A330 panel. However I am unable to find a knob etc., on how to set the WHITE ARROW course in the HDL. It is set be default at 340 degrees. I am forced to set the course in the Boeing 737 aircraft. This then sets the White arrow on the same course.Does anyone know how to set the White Arrow course in this A330 panelwithout having to set it first in another aircraft?Thank you.Stanner Stanner

hi I've played around the system in DF737 and attemp to do a crossbleed engine start (using air from a running engine to start another engine wighout the help of APU or ground power) so far I have succeeded in using the RIGHT engine to start LEFT, but it doesn't work in another way round. Does anyone experience this or it is just me. I understand it should work both way. thanks

Some users of my freeware Airbus panels made me notice a little (annoying) difference between FS2002 and FS2004.In FS2004, if you arm the spoilers and the aircraft is on ground, the spoilers will fully extend. I have tested this with the default B737.Is it the same for you or is it specific to my system?Is there any configuration file I can change to avoid this?Thanks for any help.Eric

I ask this here as Eric states he won't answer any question on the panel via email (what I can understand, he would probably get thusends of them).I have read the docs for Eric's great A320 panel again and again, but connot find any hint, how to set the DH. On my panel it is allways set to 328 ft, the same value as on all pics in the docs. Does this indicate that the DH cannot be changed or am I only too dumb to figure it out?Thanks in advance for any ideas,Wolfgang
