I'm somewhat of a newbie, and I've taking a liking to the leerjet.I use the flight planner to fly from one airport to another using ILS, Take off and maintaining flight is no problem, but I was looking at the GPS, and how do you use the vectors and so forth to land?I saw you can choose your approach and so forth, but after that I have no clue.If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate that!

Hi.what is the best display resolution recommendation for FS9.ie 1024x768x32, or 1280x960x32 etc, any thoughts guy's.some people have stated that running at 1024x768x32 makes the lighting on the runways etc look better, while others have said that FS runns better in 1280x960x32 because of something to do with shapes and re-draws etc,any feedback would be most welcome,along with you're reasons why you run in that particular resolution.thanks to allSteve.

Hello all.I purchased a couple days ago the Vans Aircraft MD88 online. Happily, my credit card was charged the $20 for the model and added liveries.As of today, I still haven't heard a peep from them about where to go and download. After engine shut-down and re-start my throttles sometime decouple leaving the joystick control activating only the No. 1 Engine. Can anyone tell me why this is happening - and more importantly - how do I re-couple the throttles so that the joy stick controls both?Thanks in advance, for what I am sure is a very elementary solution....RWD

About 12 months ago, I asked who FSAVIATOR was. I didn't get any idea - but lots of recommendations about his work ( which I fully agree with ) . My first experience was with the FS2002 Convairs. Unfortunately I lost all these when I went to FS2004 -- but now, I have rediscovered him and his work in the AIRHEAD DECATHLON (which I got at http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/ who are helping with hosting the a/c)This is really a fun a/c to fly and I like the explanation about the flight characteristics of this a/c.So -- the question remains unanswered -- who is this masked man? I pose a conundrum to you, a riddle if you will.I got this a340 from aerodesigns, installed it, everything works great, even managed to change the aircraft.cfg so that i can make new liveries show up and it works flawlessly.(little hard on the fps, but works good enough i guess)However i just got one little problem and i know someone will be able to give me the quick answer, tho im sure its been asked before.On the panel, you can change the MFD from Arc, to Rose and to GPS, when i click GPS so i can navigate around the world, i get a blank display. Hi.I have a problem with almost perfect Tu154 :-) (V9.2)I'm using Fs9 and unregistrated FSUIPC.I have a problem with APU starting (CTRL+2)When I try to start APU, it said something like "Program is not acredited to use with unregistrated FSUIPC"It hangs when I try to start APU.I also before using Tu154, choose default cessna, wih engine off, batery off.Could you please help.Also if i create flight with engines ON,and if I choose panel (ctrl+2), engines stoped!!! Can someone explain to me how to calibrate a joystick using FSUIPC, or point me to a post?I have read the documentation with FSUIPC (3.212) and have to admit I don't understand what to do, or if it will actually be effective with FS2004.Thanks for your help.

I don't know if you've already heard this, but it seems that LAGO have lost (got ridden off..) some more good folks the last days. I'm not a poster at the lago-forum but I've been following the latest months of harsh discussions over there, and often felt sorry for Daniel, always trying to help out with quite a lot of unsatisfied customers.. And now when they finally seem to have something good going again they fire him??!! Hi all,I've searched but couldn't find the answer - sorry if I missed it.Well, I just installed FS9 (again) as I needed it to fly the PMDG 737-800. The external textures (liveries) load at 1st but as the flight goes on, they go and then never come back! OK, this may seem silly for somebody who's been flying for VAs for months, but...I decided to go back and work my way through at least some of the Rod Machado lessons built into FS2004. So I did, I flew all seven of the student pilot lessons. Completed the first solo, twice. Both times, I stopped on the runway and got patted on the head and told what a great job I did...so now how do I get this alleged "certificate" I'm supposed to be able to print out? .....that these look strange (ie stretched) because FS covers an area in textures as if it were looking down on the area. A vertical surface can't be seen from straight up so when it comes to covering it with texture, FS gets itself a little confused.

Couple of AI traffic questions.1) Where do you find the more obsure paints/models at? Say Air Mauritius ATRs, or Aeroflot IL96? I have a ton more missing liveries/models, and I haven't even got past the 'a's :)2) How good are the MRAI plans? Seems to me that they are really lacking with some airlines, but I could be wrong. Should I instead focus my search on plans that are in the avsim file library and then branch out to the MRAI ones?3) I am trying to stay away from PAI models because of the FPS hit. I have a Dell 8300 with a Pentium 4 of 3.2 Ghz, 2Gb of RAM, ATI Pro Radeon9800 128 DDR. In the recent weeks, I have virtually been unable to complete a single flight. FS9 suddenly crashes to the desktop without error messages. I fly the 747 200 RFP and the PMDG 737 NG most frequently and also operate FS Navigator in the background, nothing else. My traffic volume is on 70% and I do not necessarily use weather (today I had none). I also use an extensive set of GoFlight module (and had done so for the past 15 months with no problem).
