I am taking a hard look at purchasing the Ready For Pushback program. I have downloaded the entire manual, and the plane and systems looks quite complex. I am sure it will take some time to get eveything down to fly this thing (and running all the systems corrently), but I am up for the task. My question has to to the the fact that the RFP 747-200 has no FMC and will thus mean that I will have to use the old-fashion INS instead. How realistic is this in present day aviation? Are there real 747-200s out there that don't use a FMC? I assume that they have been added. Thanks,Robb

Dear Memebers, This might sound stupid...but i really need abit of help....I installed Fs9 and everything works Great...One of my favorites features in fs is that there is an option that it can open/close Aircraft doors...(Shift+E)..Well the question is :) can someone tell me which is the other option that it opens the baggage compartments( let's say for the PSS 320..i managed to do that in fs2002) Can someone tell me at least which is the exact name in the commands menu so that i can change it or enable it..?Regards,

I'm back on runway assignments again...Tonight I flew into KDCA. The RW wind was 170 at 16 knots with gusts to 25.ATIS says landing and departing runway 1. I received landing clearance for RW 1. I checked AFCAD and the RW 19 LDA's are installed although I question the placement. Why doesn't ATC give me 19???I then set up the wind to favor the other runways. One at a time. No matter what the wind was, Runway 1 was all that they would do. At one point, I had the wind from 330 at 50 knots. Still gave me Runway 1 but I won't mention what that wind did with the airplane...I was VFR so an approach assignment wasn't available. Without completely disregarding ATC, all I …

Hi guys and gals,I have been downloading some of the Meljet 777-2** planes and loving them, although I have one really annoying problem.Out of the left window I just see grey!.....I think its the toilet in the way....It has happened on all the 200's I have downloaded....300's are fine though.Please anyone got any ideas?....Love the planes, would be a shame to stop flying them :(Fs2004 btwThanks

Question to the real world pilots who have trained themselves in FS as well.At last! I've started not long ago to take flying lessons to become PP.Naturally I was thinking of using FS for brushing up some techniques, including stall/spin recovery and cross wind lending. All required a handful work with the pedals. My question is: Have you tried the combination of CH pedals and the RealAir C172. Will I will have real (well, close to real) responses? I tried to do it with my MS Sidewinder joystick by using the Z axis but its too annoying. Is it worth to spend the ~100$ for this purpose?Oh.. Hi,A recent thread here hosted a discussion about the notorious 10 mile = overcast sky visibility bug with FS2004. A couple of people mentioned that installing the 'Bluesphere' texture set would elmininate this problem but I've not had any success. Even with the Bluesphere textures installed I get to above-mentioned situation when visibility in FS2004 is less than or equal to 10 miles.Has anyone been successful eliminating this visibility problem with the Bluesphere texture set and if so, can you please describe in as explicit as possible detail how you installed these textures?Thank you.

First of all I want to make clear that I am not blaming FS Sky World for the problems that I am having.Just as a note remember my FS is 2002.Some days ago I decided I was going to give another shot to FS Sky World since I am always flying online and therefore my PC performance is not affected anymore by AI Traffic. I was installing the coulds and by mistake I used the autoinstall feature. Hi, I was just wondering if there is anyway of requesting a different rwy even if it is not a parallel rwy. For ex. coming into an airport from the east and rwy 09 is active with winds calm. I would like to land on rwy 27 if it doesn't conflict with traffic especially if I'm in an airliner. Or in real world I know a couple of times coming into Calgary in a smaller plane from Saskatoon when 16 or 34 is active and the winds are not over 10kts they will clear me to land on 25 or 28 with stopping before the intersection of 16 and 34. I am trying to figure out the logic of AI planes. Particularly how you get the planes to land in the correct direction to the wind. I have read on this forum that if the wind changes direction you are out of luck, is that correct?I start FS9 and then start the weather program. With this setup I have found the AI planes generally takeoff and land in the correct direction but not always. If you find that the planes are landing in the wrong direction what can you do to change it?Mark.

Hello.I am having a problem which only just recently started. As I raise the throttle, the plane doesn't move smoothly. It skips and freezes.I am running an ASUS 128 MB card. Help! I consider myself a reasonably competent Flight Simmer and have used all versions of the program (note, not 'game')since FS1. I have downloaded a huge number of files and currently have about 1.5gbt of aircraft, scenery etc.I recentlt suffered from a hard drive failure and had to reinstall all of my backed up files. Since then I have been 'tweaking' various features and only started 'flying' again relavively recently. I am now sufferong inexplicable total electrical failures. In several responses to yesterday's post by a customer of Flight Simulator Graphics Solutions, there was a request for screenshots, so...I took the attached screenshots last night. They were originally at 1280 x 1024 resolution (19" flat screen monitor), but I resized to 800 x 600 to comply with the forum's 125 Kb limit for attachment size. I have a request for high res screenshots of Aerosoft's German Series 1, Volumes 1, 2 and 3 to help me in my buying decisions. Friends, I have a real problem!!!All of a sudden, and without any new hard/software installed, my FS9 only works in "windowed" form. When I hit ALT+Enter (or choose "full view" from the Views option) my panels just black out!! All other views are OK but from cockpit view I cannot see the panels, just a black sector. I can see only the scenery above the panel. It happens with all planes and situations.Now, being fed up with this inability to fly "full screen", I fully uninstalled FS9 and re-installed it from scratch. Surprise!! I installed emarciano's a330 panel and stupid me not paying attention installed the gps_export.dll module and it overwrote the good one, so now obviously im havin some problems. I did a search of the forums and i found out where i can get the module back off cd2, its MSGAMES3.CAB or something like that, but my question is, HOW DO I GET THE FILE FROM THE DISK TO MY COMPUTER..... all i see is a .zip file... so maybe someone has a step by step to to help me get the right file into the right place! Hi Ken, Use your utility a few days and I am very happy with it.Have a problem with logging on, on the Avsim forum, so thats the reason for this message to your email account. Question: once configurated I should like that the program starts immediately when started via the desktop-shortcut. Instead of that, I have to press once again on the start button within the program (seems double to me). Because I have to start multiple pc's (WideView) I would be easier if I could drag the FsAutoStart-shortcut to the Windows Start button so that the process continues automatically.
