I've had flight simulator 2004 since it came out, but in the last week it hasn't run when I try to start it. It displays the splash screen and gives the "building database for new scenery files" message every time, but then when the scenery loading completes, an error message appears which reads "Your computer has run out of available memory. Flight Simulator will now exit. You may not have enough free space on your hard drive. Run Disk Cleanup to free up space, and then try running Flight Simulator again." I ran disk cleanup like it suggested, but to no avail. I also tried deleting a bunch of the aircraft that I don't use very much to decrease the amount that the game l…

Hi Folks,I accidentally stumbled on a new way to start FS2004 which I find very interesting and usefull.Here it is: 1. Go to /MY DOCUMENTS/FLIGHT SIMULATOR FILES (Note: I use WinME, not sure if /Flight Simulator Files are located in the same place in WinXP)2. Pick the flight you want to go to when FS2004 starts.3. Double click on the flight which has the extension .FLT (example: Hanks Trading Post.FLT) FS2004 should now start to load and you'll be in that flight.Hope this helps.

I installed FS2004 without checking to see if the default aircraft carriers were present. Then, I bought and installed Flight Deck III. When trying to find the default carriers - ArrCabs knew where they should be per the .dat file - I was disappointed to discover that none of them were there. The CVN included with FD3 are super and I have a couple of the other add-ons - Waikato, Thailand, Friuli - but would like to have all 18 default carriers. I downloaded accvall3.zip but wonder if it will work in FS2004 and if it will overwrite the FD3 carriers.

I loaded some third party scenery software and now when I load FS9, I get the following error messages. "(Addon ScenerysceneryKSTLJetwaysSCENERY) in Scenery Area.051 not found. Click OK to continue." Three of the five in the parenthesis area state (SceneryNAMCSCENERY) in scenery Area .xxx The other two are NAMW and NAME. Is there any way I can eliminate these error messages? I have edited the scenery.cfg file and Area .051 is for the St. Louis Jetways. Any help to eliminate these messages would be appreciated.

When I takeoff RW heading 240, wind direction from 215/15 I still have to use right rudder-pedal with the PSS Airbus/PMDG Boeing. I thought I should press left rudder-pedal into the wind, but the aircraft is drifting the wrong way - into the wind. Why?(FSUIPC reg. ver , FSMeteo ver. 6.4, Cirrus-pedals)

Hi fellow pilots! I am currently training to get my real world PPL. The plane I train in is a Cessna 172 Skyhawk with 180 HP engine.I want to find the most realistic Cessna 172 for FS9. I don't care if it is payware or freeware.What I'm looking for is:1) Extremely accurate flight model2) Extremely accurate 2D and/or 3D cockpit (everything should be in it's place and modeled, including carb heat)Can anyone point me in the right direction?Much oblidged...

Hello! Sorry if it was already asked, where should I put AFCAD2 file properly? Is there a difference if I put it into a scenery folder of some addon scenery, or if I put it into fs9addon sceneryscenery folder? What's the difference?

Sorry that I post here, but the AS forum doesn't want to take my post and keeps on asking me to sign in every time I click on "post message".I don't know if this is general or is only happening to me, but when I try to connect AS I get a message saying that the Winds Aloft server is not working and that I should be able to connect later.This has happened before and indeed I was able to connect later, but this time I haven't been able to connect for the last two days. I don't know what exactly the problem is. Seems to be something in the modem, or it's settings.Every time I have a little weather, or clouds, or anything that make my Frame rate descend, such as spot viewing the plane, FS starts stuttering in an strange way. The fps hic cup from 30 to 17 to 26 to 4 to 25 to 15 and so on. At the moment I get that stuttering my dial up connection gets disconnected, which considering I fly Vatsim all the time is a big problem.I tried reinstalling FS like I had done before with this problem, but this time it doesn't work and I keep on having the same.I don't mind much about the stuttering, but I need to solve this Dial up thing. I really like the a/c that Kazunori Ito is putting out. What does one edit, however, to get a more realistic take off and cruising profile? For instance, the Victor will cruise about 100 MPH faster than in real life, the F-89D will keep accelerating in a 6,000 FPM climb, etc. Also, in the Constellation and the XB-35, the engine sound is constant and not a function of throttle movement. I occasionally encounter a problem that I've never seen in any forum, though maybe I've missed it. At times during a sim flight, my airspeed abruptly changes, either up or down. I suspect it may be due to weather as I cannot relate it to anything else.I use FS9, flying commercial airliners, and I always download realworld weather (snapshot), and this seems to happen once every 4-5 flights, either during cruise or descent (can't remember if it's happened during climbout or ascent).The last time this happened was in a A319, cruising FL310 at .80 Mach. Anyone know which parameter to adjust within the aircraft.cfg that will allow the nose wheel to more gradually touchdown rather than slamming to the runway immediately upon touchdown? Thanks

Hello,Just switched over to windows XP and installed TTools and my Traffic030528.bgl file is called Traffic030528.bgl.passive and of course is located in sceneryworldscenery folder.When I ran TTools for the first time, it doesn't recognize or the traffic 030528.bgl nor the source files show up in the TTools window.I have My Traffic 2004 installed whether that makes a difference or not.Could someone explain why I have these oddities?Thanks,Mike
