I had the NL-2000 3.9 scenery installed but ran into a problem and had to unistall it, now the default Schiphol has no runways! Well they are there but they have no textures (it looks like they are plain concrete now). How can I get the runways EHAM back to normal??

Had viz set at 20 miles and clear clouds...NO TRAFFIC.My spot view was from the left rear 45 degree angle initially. Moved around the plane different areas..readings pretty much consistent. All sliders maxxed except; ground shadows off...cloud draw set 40 miles; and view distance 70 miles. Frame rate slider..."Unlimited"OK, from that spot view: The framerates cycled a little.Low end of the cycle was 36.5 FPS; the high end was 38.7.I then reset the framerate slider to a locked 30FPS. OK I changed nothing, worked fine last night and my first flight tonight. Suddenly today the game crashes when the loading menu gets to "adjusting scenery objects" and crashes on 68%... whats wrong! For those who remember, FSLaunch started as faster way to connect to VATSIM.However, from version 1.3 the program is useful even without multiplayer, you can launch Flight Simulator, skipping the create flight dialog with the settings you specify.The only complicated step that remains is having to create gates file for every airport. AND at no cost !!! :-hah :9 Warning: it takes plenty of height to recover. Remember: it's not enough to centralize the stick; you must apply opposite rudder in order to stop spinning AND recover gently from the dive because with THIS aircraft speed builds up like it should. I fly a lot at KMDW (Chicago Midway) and I did an visual approach landing on runway 13L.As I saw the runway about 10 miles off, actually it was 13C that had the nice 4 light VASI. I got to thinking. If a runway is primarily used for a Visual Approach like 13L at KMDW, why doesn't 13L or all runways used in visual approaches have VASI lights? Will the pilots get confused if they see three sets of VASI lights? BTW this is NOT an error on the part of the FS 2004 representation of the airport. I confirmed no VASI lights on 13 L and 13R from www.airnav.com.Thanks!Barry

I've never come across this one before, but something odd happened the other day while landing a 3rd party 737. When I switched off the autothrottle for final landing, the right engine stayed stuck and wouldn't de-accelerate. I managed to land, but the engine was stuck at a high N1 rate. I used reverse thrust but that engine stayed stuck. Have any of you encountered this? Is it fixable?After I landed and the engine was still racing, I loaded the default 737 and everything returned to normal. I went back to the 3rd party 737 and it was fine.This one has me stumped. I did a search here on the forums, but nothing came up.Any help will be appreciated.Lee

Hello,I have lost my mesh North of Vancouver BC ,certainly after installing some sceneries or mesh but I cannot find witch ones. I did uninstall/reinstall a lot but without success, may be some had already this experience and can provide some recommendations.see screenshots 74355 : I fly south , heading Vancouver +- 50 miles north , my wonderfull mesh stops and the ground becomes flat74356 : from mesh to flat !74357 : and more I fly south and more the mesh is replaced by flat ground 74358 : the mesh behind me (so nice)I only have this north of VancouverAny recommendation or suggestions?You are welcome. For the past 3/4 weeks I have had a problem within Fs9; where if I try to d/l Real Weather, Connect Multiplayer etc; Fs9 goes into Pause mode; it will not allow me to clear Pause by pressing the 'P' key - I have to close down the 'offending' program? Microsoft Knowledge Base could not help; so I thought I'd try DirectX....but in my C:Program Files there was only a Folder with a sub folder named Settings, opening Settings revealed nothing!! I know I installed Directx 9b months ago? My OS is Windows XP Pro; I think I read somewhere that you don't need directx if you have XP h'mmm?I have not tried a search via the Run facility, because I have forgotten the key word :)…

Hi everyone! I just downloaded the Antonov 124 and 225, and I must say they are just about my most favorite aircraft in my library. The detail and working parts are simply amazing and you can really tell that a lot of time has gone through both those fine aircrafts. But not much could be said for the panels and virtual cockpit, but its understandable considering how much work went into those planes. My question to you all is this, do any of you know of a C-17 Globemaster III with detail as good as the Antonov aircrafts or any news on someone in the works of one for FS2004? If not does anyone know of any other aircraft with the same detail as the 124 and 225?? I have…

Hi all, I am planning to upgrade my decrepit old Athlon 1200 to something that runs with good frame rates,etc, I recently read an article by flight dynamics guru Rob Young in PC Pilot where he stated that to really have a good "flying experience" it is essential that your system is capable of running at at LEAST 25 fps. with this in mind I just want to get an idea of what people are using in terms of CPU, memory and videocard and what sort of frame rates they get with all settings set to high (not completely maxed out) and with AI turned off as I cold care less about other traffic flying around. appreciate any tips u have might have as well. cheers.

I have just purchased and have been flying the Flight 1 Conquest. I find it hard to believe this ac would not have a DME receiver at all!! JamesJ

I tried this Enviro! tool after reading about it on the front page of this site. However, I cant find any downloads of wav files other than the included samples. The Enviro! web site says a sounds download section will be added, but its not available now. Where can I find sounds to make this interesting program useable?And I did surf the library... :-)Eric
