Does anyone here use a program called Traffic 2004? I was reading about this program on another site and it seems pretty nice. Is this just a new version of MyTraffic, or is it different? The review of the product makes it sound like it comes with its own ATC and ATC voices with accents. It also comes with a working TCAS system I think. If you own this product, how would you rate it against Ultimate traffic wich I am using at the moment?ThanksRegan

Howdie Folks,Got a small problem here that is causing me to have fits. For some reason when i shut down FS9 my keyboard goes haywire and when i select an icon on my desktop, it will highlight a number of others which stops me from doing anything with the pc until i reboot.Its starting to drive me nuts! Hi Folks,I'm in desperate need for some answeres here, and I hope someone might be able to give some feedback.Situation:I got myself a brand new PC and migrated my FS9 from my laptop (Installed FS9 and moved addons via ethernet from the old to the new machine). I use Ultimate Traffic and have replaced most of the PAI planes with AIA, FSP, or AIS to improove frame rates. Problem:Activating AI traffic just kills my new PC, eventhough the frames are awesome when AI is turned off. We all know that AI ca be hard on the performance, but usually things improove after take off and especially inflight. Not on my new PC though. Hey everyone. I am in dire need of help again. I need to reinstall FS9 but, from the CD, it must be first uninstalled. However, my efforts to uninstall, both via the Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs) and via the Uninstall option from the disks themselves, fail. I receive the standard "error report" message from Microsoft when I try from the program and nothing when I try from Add/Remove.Can someone tell me how to get FS9 on my system without necessarily removing every single add-on file I have currently???? When moving about the cabin in v/c mode, there seems to be a restriction, common to most aircraft, that only allows the eyepoint to move so far toward the rear of the a/c before it stops. Is there a way to modify the model, outside of using activecamera, that would set this limiter back a few meters? Any suggestions would help.Cheers!

I'm looking for cargo or freighter carrier repaints of the default b747-400 that work in fs9. Preferably NorthWest Cargo but anything really! So far I've found a below average UPS paint and thats it cargo wise. Thanks!

hi!have a big problem with my fs9. when i start it it loads normal. but when i want to select a flight in flight selection menu , fs crashes.., it simply freezes. no warnings, no windows...just freezes :( i also cant save a flight, the same thing! dont know why.... i didnt nothing!!! please help me.... thx

Dear Members, This sounds a stupid question sorry about that...I am trying to open/close the Cargo doors..When I pree Shift+E only the cabin door of the aircraft opens! To be exact I am having difficulties in openeing the PSS 320 cargo door and any others avaliable in fs..can someone give me an advice pls? which is the exact name of the operating cargo doors in the assignments menu of fs9?Hope to hear from you soon!

I can no longer make a flight without either a CTD or a shutdown due to out of memory. I have been with FS since the beginning, love this hobby and now it makes me sad.I have tried all of the suggestions. I have re-installed everything progressively and just as I think Ive solved the problem.Bang! Theres another one.I love tinkering with FS as much as the next man and of course I know that given time and patience, the problems can be resolved. Unfortunately, I neither have the time nor the patience to put this right. It wasnt this bad with FS2002 and yes I know that I can re-install that if I want. A while back I made a post regarding framerates and performance. This was prior to optimizing with FSGS. But, it also occured after optimization. I had a great and smooth running machine after the FSGS stuff. But, One day I loaded up Lock on MOdern Combat..this was after playing it the night before. Lock on as well as flightsim was running great. The only thing I did prior was to load up the new catalyst driver at that time..believe 3.4 or 4.3..something like that. I then started Loc ON....Oh man...what the heck happened..the thing was running slow as molassis. So, I exited..then I started FS2004...same thing...I had a freakin slideshow. Hello!I was wondering what the frame rates are like with the Flight 1 C441 conquest? It looks like a nice add-on for FS9.Anyone with a slower system using this add-on aircraft?I have a PIII 1 Ghz running FS9 pretty well using the default aircraft (20fps on average) but do you think the C441 will run well enough on a slower system?Any feedback is appreciated.Happy Simming!Scott :-)ATP/CFII - KCOS

i added more traffic to flight simulator 2004. PAI recommends adding more gates to the major airports around the world.i need to add gates, parking and/or runways to heathrow, gatwick, CDG, Toronto Pearson, LA international, JFK international, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Japan, and Sydney. anyone know how i can do this?

I've been watching the threads on ctd's and out of memory errors and wondering if I may have caused a few. I wasn't aware of the issue at the time, and have a few g2k files that I assume are "landclass" in my lighthouse sceneries. Do the landclass files need to be in sight to cause the problem? For example, in Washington State, Tatoosh Island, located off Cape Flattery is a g2k file. Could it cause an out of mem error 125 miles away at Seatac? The island uses the same MS texture as the surrounding area, located in the main texture folder. Does the fact that it uses a texture at all mean it won't cause the out of mem error? The same would be true for golf courses, etc.I…

Why are there people out there spreading rumors that FS9 or 10 will be the last version Microsoft will produce of Flight Simulator??? Some people just love killing the joy in our hobby... May I ask the question since I have a small problem with FS2002,that, if I uninstall the sim and then re-install, will I loseall ad-on`s that I have, hundreds of them in fact such as airportsand aircraft etc. Is there a way all these can be saved?? I need to do this since I upgraded my computer to WinXP andcopied the files from win 98SE, hence the small error which Iwill live with if I cannot keep all the ad-on`s.Advice please and thank you,YoursJohn

I have always found most a/c VC panels to be too dark -- and somewhere in this forum, I found a trick to introduce 2 more lights into the LIGHTS section of the aircraft.cfg file to lighten the VC panel considerably. I applied this with great success to a few a/c.BUT -- the Aerocommander 500 and 680 VC panels are really good panels -- but too dark!! At certain times , I can barely see the panel even during the daylight hours. So I tried to apply this fix to these panels and find that it doesn't work -- it is almost like there are no VC panel cockpit lights at all . They can be seen in the aircraft.cfg file -- but maybe they are positioned incorrectly and hence don't effect…

Please has anyone had problems with this scenery? I installed it a couple of days ago and when selecting some (not most) of the new airfields (I think these are new and not existing in the stock FS9 but I'm not absolutely sure yet) FS9 immediately (I mean instantly) shuts down to the desktop while the scenery is loading. This in itself is not a big problem as I could just avoid selecting the problem ones but afterwards I also installed what appears to be an update which fixed a lot of airfields altitude problems, however this did not fix the crashing of the certain airfields.
