Lago just released the long awaited FS9 update for Emma Field. FS2002 users can download an upgrade that in fact is a completely new install (around 45 MB) that uses the old registration number.I just flew the wonderful RealAir Simulations Scout from Emma to Bear Gulch Aviation (included in the Scout package) on the remote end of Lake Cushman. I'm currently running FS 2004 on a P4 2.6 800mhz HT machine with a GeForce FX-5200 graphics card. I have two 19" LCD monitors connected to the one video card - one using the Digital and one using the Analog port.I'm experiencing the following issues. If you can help, that would be awesome!1. With my 2 19" CRT monitors, the image was clean and smooth. With my 2 19" LCD montitors, the image is blachie and gradial. In both cases, FS was set to 1024x768x32 as the resolution. Why would the new LCD's produce such a poor image?2. If I put one view on screen 1 and a side view on screen 2, I start getting polygon errors and strange images on my screen. It gets to the point…

Don't get me wrong, the painters have done a superb job on the great new A321 by iFDG, but the textures load really slowly causing pauses, especially when you go to spot view or wing views. I have a Dell XPS 3.2 macine with 1 gig of ram and an ATI 9800 Pro. I know there are some texture converter programs, but I'm not sure whether those programs work well or not.Does anyone have a thought on how to improve the texture loading so there are minimal pauses? I have a ton of other aircraft and most of them load fine although some have slight pauses depending on the painter.Lee

I saw TV program about flying and learnt that Extra 300s can roll 400 degrees in one second.I tried rolling the 300s in FS9. It took about two seconds to complete 360 degrees. I was flying over the sea with no significant scenery in sight.I would like to know, how fast can you perform this manouver on your systems?I only hane Athlon XP 1800+ 512 M Geforce4 MX 440 graphics card.

I would like to purchase Ultimate Traffic but have not done so because of the "caution" that it may not work with WIN98 which I have on my system. Could anyone out there please let me know if you have actually experienced a problem with UT and WIN98 compatability and what problem you experienced. Thanks. GLB@RIC

Hi All, Probably a helpfull tip for extra PCI video card users.I've 1 AGP GForce and 3 the same PCI GForce MX cards in my PC. Continuing problems with the resolution of the PCI cards, not taking the Fs2004 configured resolution. FX card as 1280x1024x32. The PCI's the same but continously displaying 800x600 (with bad readability of course with complicated panels).I found that Fs9 did not find the cards well. I have often wondered if there is any way to improve the appearance of the ground in FS2004/FS9. When looking at pictures of an airport we seem many clear, well defined "things" setting atop what appears to me as slime. Just ordered it with 2nd day. Should have it Friday. I didn't order the pro version, as the 120 hz update rate doesn't mean anything with 30 frames per second, no matter what they say. The resolution is the same.I'll let everybody know what I think, but from what I've heard about previous versions it will be worth it.

Hi all,This is my 1st post to the avsim community. Just saw the HRW adventures and was interested in attempting some of those. I have FS2002 professsional and don't really want to upgrade to FS2004 I paid good money to get FS2002 Pro and I'm not ready to upgrade to 04 yet. I'm still pretty new to fs2002 even though I've had it for awhile just never got around to flying enuff to get proficient. I'm also looking for a VA to join so I can get the most out of FS02.Can I download and fly the Hopping Round the World Adventures within FS2002??ThxKiloton

I am using Windows XP Home, but are having a ton CTDs as many are. I am thinking seriously about reinstalling my whole OS system and wonder that I should isolate FS9 by itself for the obvious good reasons of enhanced performance and reduced outside software interference. Because I have other softwares that demand XP as thier OS, I am thinking about reverting FS9 all by itself to a separate Windows ME volume as it is the only full copy of an OS different from XP that i possess. I used to run FS2002 on ME and don't recall major problems but it has been a long while. MY QUESTION IS: How is FS9 running on Windows ME nowadays? Love to hear from any using Windows ME + FS9 !!!C…

Hello Gang!I have finally reached 1000 entries in the scenery.cfg file. When this happened, FS2004 turned into a major "DOG". The minute I de-activated scenery entry 1000, the sim worked fine again.Can someone confirm if the 1000 limitation still exists in 2004?Thanks in advance!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

Hi guys, Here's a new one to me....I changed my anti-virus software yesterday along with a new firewall program...Well, now it seems that when I fire up FSMETEO, I get a popup telling me that FSMETEO is attempting to send my EBAY password information to an IP address....I never got this until today. And I get the YES/NO option.....Naturally, I don't want my info being sent, so I select no....and then FSMETEO locks up......anyone run into this before? Hate to think this program has been doing this all along....Thanks...Tony P

Hi allI seem to have a strange MS problem. My compasses, both the magnetic and the gyro one, have a habit of pointing 180 degrees wrong, but not always. Sometimes, they are correct when I select a location, but suddenly turn a few minutes into the flight. Or they change when I change locations in the select airport menu. No difference if I select an American airport, or a European oneThey can be correct in one place, but if I go to a place only a few miles away, they can be wrong again.I have already checkd that my country settings, they are ok.But what is strange is that the behaviour of the compasses is so erratic.I use FS2002.Peter

What does atc mean when they say this, it goes something like, ORD is now romeo, or for ATIS, u have romeo, or the pilot, like, this is SAS944 with delta or whatever, what do they mean by this?adam

In former FS 2002 you could admire a beautiful lightshow, when flyingin areas at a latitude => 70 N during winterseason,in clear skies, around midnight. For example Hammerfest Airport situated in Norway and Thule Airforce Base on Greenland were wellknown for this phenoma.Much to my regret FS 2004 refuses to start up this lightshow when flying in the same areas and under exactly the same conditions as mentioned above.(Special Effects slider is set to maximum).Any hints to get back this lightshow will be greatly appreciated.Nice flying to all of you!Cheers, Paddy

Hi,I have recently purchased and installed an impressive scenery area. The installation was not as smooth as I would have liked and left me with a few nagging questions. So, I reinstalled to a temporary folder to observe all the file placements before moving the install elements into the sim.My question concerns the placement of 4x .bgl files. These all appear to be landclass files and have appeared in the Flight Simulator 9SceneryBASE folder.Now, my understanding is that to be active landclass addons should be assigned a relatively low priority.
