Greetings one and all.... I have recently started flying lessons to obtain my private pilots lesson. After 6 years of flying and maintaining sims for Flightsafety Int I decided it was time to get the real thing.I fly out of Heber City, Utah (beautiful valley set in the mountains, 50 miles east of KSLC). Our field elevation is 5630ft MSL, and I fly a 1999 Cessna 172SP. Here's the situation, nice day, temp approx 80F, winds from the south, 5 - 8 mph. On the real aircraft I am easily able to maintain 2400 - 2500 RPM on the climb out at 75kts and average 500 - 700fpm. At an altitude of 7500ft MSL I can level off, speed up to 100kts and pull the throttle back to 2200 - 23…

Hi,I have been adding the RCB Groundhandling gauges to the PSS A320 panel along with ServInfo gauge and now I have not got a Parking brake, on any aircraft.I have checked the assignments, I have deleted FS9.cfg to see if that will sort it.I have a Siatek Evo joystick and CH Pro pedals.When I run FS( the default setting opens with the brakes on, indicated in the bottom left, I can only switch this off with the pedals. Default parking brake (.) does not work neither does the assigned button on the joystick.I can't understand why installing that to one aircraft should affect them all.If you have any ideas or require more info please ask.CheersTerry

I've got three types of freeware 737-800 installed now, using the Kevin Sparkuhl panel (a kuhl panel indeed!), but I have no meaningful flight ops data, like N1, FF rates, pitch angles, etc. I mean I'd love to know what the normal N1 % is at FL350 at Mach .78. Is there any such data for the -800 like the material Matt Zagoren had once assembled for a host of older Boeing a/c?Appreciate any info, advice, thanks!JS

First off - hello everyone, my first post on ere :)I have a really wierd problem with my MS FLight Simulator 2000 Professional.For some strange reason the terrain detail-level is zero when I play. The landscape is just a plain green (like a blank sheet of paper) with absolutely no detail on it.Now here is the strange part:When I click OUTSIDE the simulator with the mouse (for example on the windows taskbar or the desktop) the game pauses and all the terrain detail suddenly appears!!!!So in short: the terrain detail only appears when the sim is paused and is *unselected*. Hello,I am still using FS2k2 and thought of finally giving VATSIM a try but I had to find out that everytime I am selecting Multiplayer I am getting an error which was caused by multiplayer.dll and imgui.dll.My system specs are:Windows MEPentium 2.6Ghz512MB RAMATI Radeon 9700and I am using a DSL connection which uses an ethernet card. I haven't heard of such a problem before so I am wondering if anyone is able to help on that one.Thanks for any help in advance!Chris

Tried to use AFCAD 2.21 (last build that Im aware of..) today to correct the parking and AI for Shervs new KSNA scenery...however when I went to launch it, it hangs up. Starts to collect airports, then totally locks up and uses 100 pct of the CPU. Never happened before. Thinking this might have something to do with the new scenery, I removed it from the sim and tried again. (having recompiled the scenery.cfg and database first.) Still hangs up. I tried to blow away the ini file to see if that would help, no dice. Tried reinstall fresh AFCAD.exe from downloaded files...no good. Flying around Leeds/Bradford in the UK I kept getting a CTD when I activated the GPS; when I de-activated my AFCAD scenery folder the CTD disappeared. So after much trial and error analysis, I found that the three modified files in NL2000 (AP948130; AP949120; AP949130) which were to be copied into the eurwscenery folder, had also been inadvertently copied into the AFCAD scenery folder. I did a manual installation and so do not believe the fault is with the NL2000 installer.When I removed these three files from my AFCAD scenery folder, the CTD disappeared, with our without the GPS. Simsoft I don't need a tutorial, I need a patch... In this aircraft's current state, it's almost impossible to land her let alone fly her. We at least need the 1.4 patch and all this can come later. Why have a manual for something that doesn't work (or at least work as advertised)???

Guys,Does anyone know why LPMA ( and LPPS) doesn't show up in Afcad after installing PTSIM's Madeira scenery. I am using FS2004 and don't really know if my version is FS9 ready. But anyway.Has it got something to do with a certain .bgl file?I want my AI traffic to fly there but I can't seem to open LPMA in Afcad. (and LPPS) What to do? Hey, I've been trying all weekend to buy the Beech F33A and FS2004 upgrade at the Carenado website, and I keep getting a message that says my order can't be processed (something about the client not existing in the database). I registered at their website, and have received the confirmation e-mail. I've attempted to contact Carenado about this, but two days later, I've had no response. I can understand why they do it but it does not mean I have to be happy about it. I've just rebuilt my system with a new Mother Board / HD etc.Decided to have a nice test flight with all my addons running only to find that a certain favourite addon needs another license key after the upgrade.OK. This would be all well and good if I could get it by return but I have to mail this developer who then sends me the new key.I mailed 5 hours ago. No key. I think if they insist on using this particular method of protection then developers should be prepared to setup an automated system of key renewal and have you up and flying as soon as possible. Flying along niceley in the UK. Suddenly, total screen freeze with picture remaining, sound gone too. Cursor is the only thing that works. Cant CTRL,ALT, DEL or anything. No error screens. Required reboot.Just for info. Due to prior CTD's, I completely re-installed everything a month ago and it got rid of all the problems. It seems like weather themes are a pretty powerful feature that is under-utilized so far. Are developers waiting on a SDK from Microsoft, or is there more interest in real-world weather?The problem with real-world weather is that the complexity can bring down performance to a crawl on mid-range and low-range systems. Even using ActiveSky and setting the options to limit cloud layers, most winter days up here in the Pacific Northwest are unflyable (and this is with Chris Willis' optimized clouds). Hey guys... The other day I had the FSGS System Unification service done, and as a result, I have a whole new sim. Making videos is much easier now... it was easy before but as you'll see in these videos, compared to my previous videos, I have a much better clarity, file size, and smoothness ratio. In other words, if you compare these (especially the A320 video) to my other videos I have posted, you'll notice same or better clarity in the videos for a smaller file size (smaller file size is usually a result of lower quality settings) So, despite the lower quality settings, they still look as good or better than before...
