Hello Gang!I'm looking for a good Dash-8 and ATR (Payware or freeware), that I could use in FS2004. I'm looking for a good model, good sounds, and decent panels. Are there any recommendations out there? Thanks in advance!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

Does the scenery # (in the [] braces) in the scenery.cfg file have to match the "layer=" number?Looking through my .cfg file it starts out being the same but the further down the file I go, "layer=" number is different from the []number.Just curious..

Just came across this picture and *wow*. That's crazy.Look at the top picture (!):http://www.swaviator.com/html/issuejj01/Bush.htmlFS2004 currently features a flat airport model. This is also why some airports sit on mesas etc. Most runways in real life do slope to some degree and I think it's time that FS moves to an a more flexible airport system to allow sloping runways. This is especially important for bush airstrips but even bigger runways can slope.

I have seen advertisment for a program called Memturbo, which is supposed to cure memory leaks and so giving more free memory and a more stable system.Could this be a good investment when using FS9? Has someone tried this program?

Does anyone know if there are keystrokes you can use to operate the default GPS in FS9 instead of using the mouse. The reason I am asking is that I have a add on control unit that you can program specific buttons with keystrokes making it easier to perform certain FS9 commands..John

Hello!I know I have asked about this before, but til now I haven'tgot any satisfactory tips or help.My FS 2002/ FS9 ground textures pop out of focus every now and then, which gives a rather ridiculous impression.I have tried a lot of different settings, upgraded my PC with a newvideo card, new HDD's, etc. but that doesn't seem to help;the problem remains.Has anyone managed to find ways to remedy this?If so, I would almost be willing to pay for advice.........I am sure my system is OK (P4 2.53 gHz, Radeon 9800 PRO)Thanks!Hans HermanssonSweden

Hope you are feeling better. I just wanted to remind folks of your body of work in cataloging add-on scenery files for FS9. I spent a couple hours last night perusing the catalog, and it is as outstanding as your many repaints. I've already downloaded a number of files to add to my sim. Your Scenery Catalogue is indispensible for anyone looking for add-on scenery. For those who have not downloaded the catalogue, look for scenery_usa.zip in the Avsim library.Cheers,Greg

I have changed my weather from no change to high change pattern but I've really not seen any difference. How does that setting work? I'm using user defined weather. Anyway just curious if I'm not understanding the settings on weather or not.Capt.Mac

Hi all, I have both the ch products rudder pedals and yoke on an usb connection I cannot get the rudder pedals to centralise. I can get all the other functions working including diff breaking but when it comes to calibrating the pedals they steer my aircraft to port approx 10 degrees. This proves mighty tricky at 120kts on the runways!!!!i have tried calibrating both on the control panel and in fs but it doesn't seam to make any difference! Please someone lend me a hand!!!CheersDal

Hi there.I just tried to fly all the licence flights of the flight lessons section. But i have a Problem with the IFR licence flight. The Program tells me to fly a course of 339 to SEA VOR (executing missed approach, continue on 339 etc.)Now: I can try what i want, the damn program always stops the flight lesson when i reach PARKK intersection and tells me that i didn't hold a course of 339.So i tried several ways of holding 339. Once, I only concentrated on holding 339 course on the OBS, holding the needle centered, but deviating slightly from heading 339 to keep it centered.A second time I concentrated on holding a steering course of 339 (on which it was difficult to ha…

One post recommended the Mooney Bravo to a concerned simmer who was experiencing flight doldrums. I'd never flown it myself until then. Not bad. Flew from Seattle to Twin Falls, Idaho. The left fuel tank was exhausted about 50 miles out of Twin Falls. I switched to the right tank, by clicking the R on the fuel gauge. However the master control light annunciating empty left tank, didn't extinguish. Does the Mooney truly have two tanks?John R. FranklinVictorville, CA
