i dont know when it happened, i think around the time i installed the usa roads thing, i seem to have lost all of my vc interior panel lighting, you know the shift L thing, it turns on and off in the 2d panels, but no vc??? i do get the guage backlighting, which is ok, but man, kinda hard to see the numbers sometimes i have a the radeon 9800 pro 256 megs, it was working, so i dont know, anyone have ideas? ciao!Brian S

I am confused - I have a subscription to R. Taburet's Mesh server, but I never really know which mesh or landclass to use. The names indicate a region, but then I am confused between the different types available. Hence, a couple of questions:1) What is the difference between Gaia and SRTM mesh?2) What is the difference between landclass and mesh? Mesh is re-arranging textures, landclass is objects, right?3) When there is both a mesh and a landclass for a region , can I use them both at the same time?4) For Switzerland, there is a mesh file called "SRTM_AUSTRIA_SWITZERLAND.zip (137MB)" and another one called "srtm_v2_alps.zip (156MB)" - do they go on top of each other? Hi,Forgive me if this question has been asked, but here goes. Is there a way to make runways 22/4 (L&R) active at KORD. I've tried closing all of the runways except those 2 using AFCAD, setting the winds and still no traffic or option to use those 2 runways.Any ideas-David

Hi everyone.Just wondered if anyone tried the survey for flight simulator advertised on the home page at AVSIM. I did but the server would not give me access as it said I needed ID. Yet the page states no ID required.Typical Microsoft. They want our opinions but don't set up the server to let us give them.

OK, I know FSGS has been discussed on this forum and others several times. Have to add my 2 cents from what I just experienced.I used FSGS' services back in January of this year. I'm far from being a FS or computer "newbie", but I also am old enough (51) to know I don't know it all. Most of my simtime has been spent in the Cessna 172. Hi folks,i'm currently using the PIC in FS9. Most of you'll know that this needs undocked windows to show the displays. The bad thing about it is that they'll be there all the time unless you dock them again. I'm wondering if there's any way to make them non-visible if you don't look forward. Maybe this can be done over the PANEL.CFG ?Any thoughts ???cuTom

I would like to download more liveries that are not in the avsim library, but can't get to their website.If anyone can confirm whats going on it would be appericated.

Hello Gang!I am currently a loyal user of the Meljet 777. I have been on the quest for a good 777 panel, good 777 sounds, and a good flight model for FS2004. Unfortunately, there are no great sound sets for the 777 out there, the panels are OK but not very functional, and the flight models for both the Posky and the Meljet 777's are not very good in FS2004. Examples are 33,010, 37,010, 39,010. And this is with the Barometer set to STD. This isn't really a terrible problem but its always been an issue with my installations, even with FS2k, FS2k2, and now FS2k4. Gang,Need some help on this one, it seems that FS9 has been crashing on me about 30 minutes into flying, doesnt care about the plane or anywere on the planet it seems, get errors from everything with all types of DLL's, including panel.dll, facilities.dll, weather.dll, and ntsdll.dll, dont know why this started all of a sudden, but any help would be great, already deleted the FS9.cfg file and let it start from scratch, also unistalled and deleted any recent addons I put into any of the folders, all drivers are up-to-date. I've just started working on an addon scenery for FS9 - it's the disused Thorney Island airfield on the south coast of the UK just east of Portsmouth.( Not in FS9 )While doing the basic ground work I've noticed an odd thing in the FS9 scenery and I wonder if anyone would like to check and tell me what they see. Hi Combine these 3 things for a very satisfying C2061. The freeware C206 at http://www.francesim.com/Articles.aspx?C=2...Enr=1472&Cpt=-1 ( go to the bottom of the page for download) has a nice C206 model with nice Flight dynamics. 2. The panel file available at Avsim cessna_206_pnl_zip by Alberto Karmy improves the VC and also includes a nice 2d panel which matches the VC3. Hey i have some questions i would apriciate if someone could answear them. Is there a way to get models from 3dmax into fs2004, or at least gmax (that way i can use the tools in gmax for fs2004)???,secondary to that, but almost as important, is there a way to convert, or open fs2004 files in max, or convert gmax files into a format max can read ???? .I thought that max could do this natively, but i guess i was wrong.There is a gmax plugin in max, but as far as i can tell, i cant figure out what it does, it doesnt seem to do anything.
