I'm thinking about adding an additional monitor to my Dell 8300/9800 Pro. The addition of the monitor seems very straight forward but I'm not at all sure how it works. I want to have FSNav running while I'm flying, or perhaps my GPS. How do you get those windows to appear on the other monitor? Thanks,Mark :-)

I know I have seen these instructions before...I have the Reality XP 530 and it has a load manager to install itself into your aircraft. It adds the GPS, but MSFS will still load the default gps when you open the gps via shift-#. I recall that there is a line in either the aircraft or panel cfg file that will change this to another unit.Anyone out there remember how to do this?

I have downloaded the EditVoicePack 3 program and updated it, but when flying the RFP V2 Tiger Cargo, the ATC doesn't call me Tiger, just my flight number. Is there any way to get an update for the word Tiger?

Hello, after a time away I have just re-installed FS2002 and Super Flight Planner 2.81. But whenever I try to create a new database in SFP, the program seems to leave out fixes and airways (Victor and J-Routes) every time. Airports and navaids are imported fine.Does anyone know why it's doing this? Thanks for any help :)

I've been itching to fly some imaginary corporate clients around and have decided that I'd like to purchase one of the Eaglesoft Biz Jet offerings to see if it will satisfy my hunger. My question is this, out of the Beechjet 400A, the Hawker 400XP, or the Citation X, which one would any of you Eaglesoft customers recommend? I'd like to start out with one, and then, possibly, get the others at a later date. Out of those that are available, which one seems the most realistic to you and which one do you prefer to fly? Just looking for some opinions here. If you can recommend any more corporate aircraft offerings, either payware or freeware, please, be my guest and do so…

My friend is having stutter problems with FS9. His specs are as follows:Pentium IV, 3.06 HT768 mb DDR RAMATI Radeon Pro 9800, 256 mbFS Global Scenery Quality: HighHe usually gets something like 5-10 fps on the ground, and up in cruize he usually gets 15-20 fps MAX!!! He gets these kind of fps in the PMDG 737NG as well as default aircraft...HELP!EDIT= Sorry for the lack of information, if you need more just reply to the thread....

Greetings all!There's something I've been wondering about since I use FS9's ATC. They pronounce "alTIMeter" which neither technically nor etymologically makes any sense at all, instead of "ALtiMEEter". Is this just a mistake by Microsoft, or is it for some reason the accepted pronounciation in the world of commercial airline flying? I wonder, because when I was taking flying lessons back in the sixties, the gliding and GA instructors and other general aircraft guys/gals definitely pronounced "ALtiMEEter".Is this a generally accepted difference between the "big" stuff and the "small fry"? Im currently engaged in investigating a problem where I get a CTDwhen flying between KGCN (Grand Canyon) and KBCE (Bryce Canyon.). About 90 miles south of BCE northbound, the sim does the CTD...snap...gone...back to desktop. The problem also occurs southbound just north of the canyon. Does not seem to matter what airplane Im in. I use Georender KBCE (Georender 6) but thislocation is well south of that scenery and shouldnt be a factor.KGCN is default without even an afcad modification.Im flying over default scenery as far as I know. The new Airbus A310-300 appears tempting and I'm wondering how it compares with the PMDG 737 series.As I can find no independent reviews it would be interesting to read others' experience of this aircraft.If you've tried it your commnents would be appreciated.Cliff

Since a week I'm flying with a new videocard, NVIDIA Geforce FX5900 XT 128 MB. Framerates are nice between 15 an 25. First I was realy satisfied about that.Then suddenly, when changing form cockpitview to spotview the framerates decrease tot 5-7. Once pressing the alt-key makes the sim return to the normal framerates. Then after some minutes the same happens again. I have to press the alt-key once in 5-10 minutes (pressing the Alt-key stops the sim and then resumes it; it seems to me as an memory becomes full or something like that). HiI downloaded a few FS9 aircraft from AVSIM.I put all the folders in the right place (I think) but none of the aircraft I'm trying to install don't come up on the create flight aircraft menu.Is there something I'm missing out here?

Ok, I'm considering upgrading JUST my CPU to a 533fsb 3.06GHZ with HT. My current CPU (533fsb 2.4b GHZ) does not have HT. (about $225 USD)Will I notice much of an improvment or should I save the $$ and wait it out to get an 3GHZ 800fsb mobo/ram and cpu? (about $600 USD).Also, I have O/C this system as high as 2.7GHZ with the default heat sink and fan (and some thermal paste on the CPU) and seen no diff in performance. In fact, I lost a few frames in FS9 with it O/C. For some reason, even after re-installing FS 4 times, I get a" Microsoft Flight Simulator has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." error. The last thing I did before this happend was install three files trying to get a 777 to work: boeing_777-232er_delta_air_lines_nc_02_06_04sound_142748777dlx6I dont know if these files have anything to do with the crashing, since I destroyed them and it still crashes. Hi All I have a question....over the week end I installed the "Howard 500 aircraft and a program called copilot and was checking out the Howard and I punched up the GPS and the Direct to button and I may have brushed the keyboard and noticed that the airport code line in the GPS was filling in from the keyboard. The next day I tried to do the same thing but it would not function.QUESTION: can you activate the GPS airport code from the keyboard?Thanks in advanceTONY

I tried to register and post this on sstsim.com forum, but I still didn't receive activation email.I have problem with the update. After I installed it, the autopilot section of main panel is corrupted. One switch is missing, others are misplaced. I'm using 1600x1200 screen resolution, when I switch to 1024x768 this problem is gone. I have to use 1600x1200 because I have 20" LCD monitor, and 1600x1200 is it's native resolution.With lower resolution my screen looks blurry.Before the update everything was fine.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/82142.jpgThanks for any help

Well, it sure looks like LAGO's MD80 panel is dead as a doornail. PMDG is doing the 747-400, Dreamfleet is doing the 737 series again, is any company ever going to do the MD80? Here's an aircraft that's been rather ignored, you'd think there's certainly a market opportunity here. Anyone agree? Anyone know of any other developers that may be candidates to finally produce this bird?

I have an annoying line in terrain that is associated with the way the terrain is displayed and moves with the terrain as I move. It's like my card won't render the terrain to far at all.I have a 1.6 P4 with nvidia 5200FX 128 card. 756 ram or something like that and soundblaster 516PCI.I've included an attachment of the pic . Be sure to look at the roads and you will be able to see what I'm talking about look for a clear to fuzzy distinction in the pic. Thanks for any help.
