Views>View Options>Gradual transitions. After reinstalling FS9, in order for this option to be off I have to remove the checkmark every time I start up FS9. I would not want to be hung for it, but I don't think this was the case before.Is there a way to have this option unchecked by default. Old blind Tom is overlooking this item in the FS9.cfg text if that is where it is.Thanks:RTH

Hi all, how do I get rid of the anoying startup menu whenever I load FS2004? Before I formated my machine I was able to start FS2004 and my plane would be sitting at KSAN at the general aviation ramp, now I have to press the "fly now" button. I think there is something in the FS9cfg that I have to set to "0".Thanks Again,Bill

I just purchased the PMDG Beechcraft 1900D, and I love it! But I'm wondering where to select the altitude (+/-) with the autopilot. There is a window on the right side of the 2D panel that says 'altitude alert' where I can input altitude, but it doesn't work even when I have the autopilot and the 'altitude hold' turned on.I realize the autopilot may be sort of a luxury in this type of aircraft, but nonetheless I thought I'd check. I was surprised to find none of this information included in the short operating manual.Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Can anyone please tell me why so many of the planes I download from the file library (and other places of course) do not draw cleanly. Whenever I switch from cockpit to spot view I get a white plane which then fills in over a space of several seconds. The default MS planes do not do this, so I assumed that the 'fault' is with the downloads, not with my PC. (I hasten to add I am not looking gift horses in the mouth - this is not a complaint!!).On the other hand, planes which draw like this one session may behave rather better the next, so my PC is clearly at least partially to blame, though frame rates are good, around 30fps, even when I am getting white planes. Hi,First of all I would like to thank Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and Joao Paz for a truly incredible aircraft, their latest release the Howard 500. It really looks magnifcent and I can only imagine how much hard work went into creating this.After installing the Howard 500 I noticed one strange thing, though. Whenever I would go to Forks (S18), the airport of Lago Georender 5, FS9 would crash. This did never happen before and now it suddenly happened regardless of what plane I was using while switching to Forks. Can I ask this question again. Is it normal in fs9 for when onearrives at an airport and saves the flt, then returns for the fltplanner not to work untl you have hit `go to airport` and gone backto where I was in the first place?? In spite of the new manual posted to the library by Anton Nikolaev (AKA Xomer) - I still can't get the ILS (PSP-48) to work. But thanks to Anton for the manual anyway. It allowed me to figure out how to get the gyro compass working and to slave the readout to the compass direction.But the ILS - No sign of life and I also can't even change the frequency setting.Anybody else had any success with this. Apart from that, this "little Bee" is the most fun that can be had for Bush flying. I can even land it amongst the houses in a heavily populated area -- a great STOL a/cBarry

Anyone else using this program, having trouble with the Data not counting down properly?For example, I want to set it to Pause, 200NM From my destination. I'm 1,000 Miles out, so I set it to 800 and click ok.By the time I travel those 800 Miles, instead of Pausing 200 from destination, I'll be like 160NM.Not sure if this is a common problem, or I'm doing something wrong. Though I'm a long time simmer, I'm somehow puzzled how scenery (bgl files) works in FS2004:I have my sceneries incrementally numbered in scenery.cfg (I use the valuable scedit for scenery file handling purposes).Let's assume that my "addon scenery" folder has layer number 035.Let's also assume that I have a new scenery to install and do this in layer 040.And finally, let's also say that I have a folder "My AFCADs" in layer 060 where I put files which AFCAD produces in.As far as I understand is: higher layer number = more importance in FS2004.Now let's assume I'm unhappy with my new scenery (layer 040, see above) and open AFCAD to add for instance a tower viewpoint or some…

I did it! :-jumpy Flew the OMWINGs L1011-200 Tristar panel in Mike Stone's model using ALL procedures/stations/panels. I started from a cold cockpit and flew an IFR flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco. This has been my test flight for a couple of days. It's just long enough to use all functions of this incredible panel. This is the second time I've flown it, and absolutely everything worked to precision! I utilised the INS, FMC, even the cabin callouts!
