It seems to be decent enough visually, though the screenshots are somewhat low res. Could anyone give any insight as to how well the other aspects (flight dynamics, avionics, etc.) are modelled?

Is there a limitation that prevents dual VOR's in a jet panel? This applies to the full VOR with a CDI and OBS, not the RMI. Also talking about "steam gauges", not glass cockpits.The C-172 panel has the dual VOR's, but most (if not all) other panels that I have do not appear to. Thanks,Bruce.

1. When you use 'real-world weather with updates', are you supposed to set the rate-of-change to 'none'?2. I've been experimenting with Baron 58 repaints from FS2002. Am I causing myself any major problems by using the modified FS2002 .mdl that removes the default tail number? I have the original still in the default folder for 2k4 paints, but created a second for the older model. Hi,I read the Aerosoft Beaver is out. I was already about to buy it but than I read a few strange comments in the Aerosoft forum. So I'm a little bit unsure now. Are all the critics well founded? I've been wondering this for awhile... With all the LCD gauges (PFD, ND displays etc.) I've seen depicted for the Heavies in FS, how hard would it be for them to actually make the gauges look like LCD screens??? At present the gauges have a basic look contrary to what you see if you saw them in a real cockpit. These gauges digital readouts at night have a slight glow or luminance that traditional gauges don't have (this is true even during the day). It

Is there an b742 JAL Cargo somewhere for FS9? I found the file here fsp_jalcargo.zip but it is for FS2002 and I'd like the updated models, flight dynamics, etc. for FS9. Has anybody found this model anywhere? I've searched for days! Thanks

Anybody know if I'm nuts here. Installer v25 downloaded. I've never had to use an installer. I prefered manual installs in FS2K2. But nonetheless, I will comply.The tutorial shows pics of all kinds of screens associated with installation options. Double clicking the install icon gives me a small dialog box with PAI credentials that says; "Please wait. Decompacting files."But I already did unzip the files. There's also a "Select a Package To Install" box where I can tell it where to look.But this is crazy. I have no install program like the tutorial shows.I'm losing my mind. Hello Gang!I have grown tired of looking of a good Dash-8 for FS2004 with a good panel and good sounds. The Frolov Dash-8 is great but the visual model is not the best and the sounds are giving me a little bit of grief - not to mention that you can't use them with any other aircraft and the flight model is jerky at times. Some folks have recommended the PSS Dash-8, which has been recently updated to work in 2004, but I have a couple of questions before I take the plunge:1. Request urgent assist with ifdg A320 cfg...a/c looses power after FL270 450kts and gradually stalls. Increased the thrust scalar problem solved..but ground handling suffers impossible to stop aircraft once brakes released and minimal throttle applied. Help!!!

Airliners are a type of aircraft I enjoy flying in FS, especially the complex ones made by 3rd party. As I've looked around the cockpit in VC mode there's no need to mention there's a lot of room in there and the controls are everywhere especially on the overhead penal which seems to be out of reach if the aircraft were to be piloted by 1 people. As in FS I'm the only one who pilot the aircraft so I'm bother by this little fact that can one people reach all the controls in airliners cockpit (in real life of cause) ? Talking about 2 crews cockpit here since the one that need 3 or more crews is out of the question IMO.

I recently made an upgrade and reinstalled FS9. Under Views>View Options>Spot View, after I remove the checkmark from "Gradual transition", FS9 replaces it every time I start up FS9. I prefer not to have "Gradual transition" and always was without it before over the past months and years by default. I have looked in all the cfg files I can find and do not see a place for an = to "0" or "1" subject to editing. Anyone know how to make this default to the none "Gradual transition" configuation upon FS9 startup. This is the way it has always been in the past for me, but now I cannot get rid of it without unchecking every time I startup FS9.Thanks:RTH

Anyway, you can all see what's wrong and I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I put it right. I am assuming it's a missing effects file for the ship's wake. Hi Everyone,For several years I have been using various programs for speech recognition to help me out with my simming, but found none of them did precisely what I wanted. I had simple needs:1) Easy to install and setup. I just want to install the program and go.2) Instead of having one big list of speech commands to use for all my planes, I want to easily be able to select a list for each plane that will have only relevant commands, and customized checklists. I've found that the larger the grammar file is, the more likely you are to have false recognitions. I remember an ICAO list incorporated into FS2K2. It was buried inside some file and was discovered by one of those early TTools gurus. I made a shortcut to desktop for it. And while I spent hours editing and creating flight plans with TTools, I used the ICAO list to learn what the airport codes were. It became a critical part of the process.So does FS9 have one? Has anyone found one? I haven't yet. It's the only piece of the puzzle I'm missing in order to start cranking out flightplans for FS9.Anybody find it yet??Thanks!!Rick

Hey there every one i have been flying helicopters for a while so i havent noticed but i have just got into planes again i fly out YSSY (sydney australia) and there doesnt seem to bee any 777 or 747 taking off, landing or even parked at the airport.. at first i thought that through all the downloads i have added that i had dont somthing so i started with a clean slat i uninstalled and then reinstalled and still nothing... i then downloaded the latest AFCAD file for YSSY the one for deafult scenery and still nothing.. i am running 100% AI trafic with no addons... so its the standard FS9.... how can i fix this propblem Cheers all..

I would like to know if there is a better Caravan than FS2004 provides. It is not bad but it flies too slow. If there is an add-on or a modification available, I would be pleased to know where I can find it.PDL.

HI I need help. I want to change an AI plane from GA to Airline so I don't have to have GA activated for the plane in question to show up. Is there a .cfg entry I can change to designate it as Airline?Thanks, Adam
