Wow just trying to cover all the unassigned and better looking ai models out there to replace the UT models... and its taking days. Has anyone thought of making a complete package that adds all the missing and updated AI traffic from the different freeware sites (pai, aia, etc) as a download?

Hello everyone...I've not been around for a while but am about to put FS2002 or FS2004 back on my machine. I (still) only have a 1 GHZ processor and 32mb Gforce II card with 384mb ram. Mostly I think I'll use it now for IFR stuff and so I wonder if it wouldn't be better to use FS2002 as I won't be using it for sight seeing. I could load FS2004 and turn the sliders down though if it offers something that I will really benefit from but aren't aware of over 2002 in this area. Thanks for your input.

I am using Active Sky and it assigned the winds 300 @ 10 at KMDW and FS ATIS indicated that runway 4R was the active.What is up with this? Anyone else have strange issues? They have arunway 31L R C which should have been the assigned runway.Barry

This was a response to question about the lack of a second VOR in other aircraft besides the Cessna:"The default B737-400 panel has dual VOR capability via the RMI. I suppose you could have two separate gauges installed in a panel like the C172. Note, however, that the second VOR gauge in the C172 doesn't have the glide slope bar".My question is this. Hi, I was wondering if someone here has edetroits modified ACS MD-11 panel? With the new bitmap? And I have RFP v2 (great addon!) but I would like to use the Posky model instead. I found a thread at the screenshot forum, some merge. Does anyone has this aswell? I'm suddenly having a problem with FS9 that I've never encountered before. I use the "Aircraft>Fuel and Payload" menu to change the fuel load. I click OK and the fuel gauges show the correct amount, but almost immediately they change back to 100% full. I go back to the "Aircraft>Fuel and Payload" menu, and sure enough all tanks are full. This happens with any aircraft I load. It happens every time I change the fuel quantity. "Unlimited Fuel" is not checked (though even if it was it shouldn't do this). I deleted my fs9.cfg and let fs9 build a new one. No difference. I even cleaned any used gauges out of my gauges folder.Any ideas?? I'd really like to not have to rein…

Just reinstalled MSFS 2004 and I have trouble with the setting screen - all sliders are greyed out and I can't move them, additionally, in the display settings, I can't access the tabs.I don't think it's a gfx driver issue, as I already tested the Forceware 50.72, 61.11 and now 60.72System is P4 1,7GHz, GForce FX 5600 with 256MB, 1024MB RAM, Windows XP Home SP1.I was using MSFS2004 without such a problem in the past, it only occured now.Any ideas?

I've seen some screen shots in the SS forum that have a VFR sectional chart as the background in the GPS instead of the usual Garmin 430/530 style of display. Is that a freeware or payware add-on? Is it possible to have an IFR chart display instead of the VFR sectional?Thanks.Tim13

With all the topics already out there, this has probably been explained. If it has, please reply with the link to the appropriate topic so I can find the information. If not, I'd like for someone to explain how to avoid scenery conflicts in FS2004. For example, let's say I have a certain addon mesh texture, USAroads, and a Simflyer airport. How do I avoid conflicts between the three when I'm near the airport?The installation instructions for each will no doubt tell you where to install the files, but very few will tell you how to avoid conflicts with other addon products.Thanks to all my fellow simmers in advance!

I've just started using the simulated ATC in FS9, and have no experience with real world ATC. On a recent flight from KRDU (Raleigh/Durham, NC) to KILM (Wilmington, NC), I encountered something that would surprise me if it's typical of real-world ATC, and I wonder if someone could comment on whether it might really happen this way.The wind was 9 knots from 233 degrees, so it's natural they initially routed me in on runway 24. But I wanted to try an ILS approach, and requested runway 35 (the only one at KILM with ILS). My request was accepted, and each controller from 71 miles out routed me toward the ILS approach. Hi,I have some questions concerning the implementation of the AI traffic in FS9 but I couldn't find anything related on the web. I hope some of you can help me. After installing the ProjectAI traffic I noticed that in the beginning the aiport (EDDF) is crowded with aircrafts and one after one taxis to the active runway and takes off. However, the first incoming aircraft occurs only after more than 30 minutes and even than landing aircrafts are very rare. So the question is where all the AI aircrafts are generated at the beginning of the simulation? I made a descent in the PMDG B1900D (same thing has happened with the Cessna) and got a warning 'overspeed', then a picture of the plane from outside and the message 'plane overstressed' and flight ended.Why can this happen just for flying to fast? Exactly why does the plane break up? Is this realistic?I mean airliners can fall several hundred feet in turbulence and the wings are strong enough to hold.

I downloaded the file entitled "Gmax Makemodel FS9 Eclipse 500 Update" the other day, presuming it's the most recent version.Went to fly it last night and discovered that the aircraft is over its maximum allowed weight unless you load only 6% fuel and ZERO payload!Any suggestions on how I correct this?Thanks in advance.

After the novelty of finding my "home street" wore off, I found that the number of roads displayed tended to distract me with using the product at full throttle.Yes, we live in a "sliders right" flight sim world, but in the case of this addon, less is more.I find that by setting the roads to use major roads only, I still get a nice number of roads for VFR, but it tends to clash less with the existing textures. Especially in the rural and mountainous regions where every single road sticks out way to much.I am thrilled that Flight 1 and Scenery Solutions had the wisdom to allow me to turn off all the residential roads.
