Is anybody using it? What does it do, exactly? What kind of frame rate hits can I expect? Thanks in advance,Kurt

I'm using it. It is a collection of utilities in a module approach. Personally like the pushback doesn't have voices etc but it allows to position the aircraft very easily. The other facility never used since the time sync is present in FSUIPC registered and the Head Effect in active camera.EDIT: Didn't noticed any problem in frame rate.Jos

It is a utility that adds a menu in FS. Click on the menu, and you can have several selections: GPWS, Koch Chart, Time Sync, Head Effect, Key Tuning, mb <=> Hg, Pushback, plus Settings. I like it, although I have a bug in my installation that 1 other person has reported (out of 8000 users. I posted the bug in thier forum, and I received a reply in less than 2 minutes! Will require some troubleshooting, but so far, the support has been quick! No effect on frame rates.ALex M.

I visited their site, but could find anything on this... does the add-on require the .net framework to be installed? Thanks,Greg

Just installed FS-CoPilot and am really impressed!Love the head turning.Pushback and time sync excellent.

Greetings!I downloaded, installed, spent fifteen minutes trying to solve one problem after the other, and then uninstalled the little messer-upper. Nothing but trouble, from (slightly) lower framerates, via inability to pan horizontally, to complete freezing of the sim.Good bloody riddance.Jaap Verduijn.

Thanks, All!

I also had trouble with the inability to pan horizontally. Plus, the pop-up windows didn't size correctly, so I couldn't activate buttons on the bottom of the window. Ended up uninstalling, as well.Although, these must be system-specific problems, since not everyone is having trouble.Wilson

Wilson-This is the problem that they are working on fixing for me. When I contacted them, they said that I was only the 2nd report of this out of 8000.Maybe they need to hear from others to figure out what the fix needs to be.You can post in their Bug Report forum, or e-mail directly using the link in the manual: [email protected]

I had that panning problem and found it was FSCopilot so removed it. Since then I have heard from one of our pilots that it's the head movement bit that stops the panning. So if you like the other bits of the program just deactivate head movement.

Right you are, Vulcan. In fact, it was only a problem if "Enable Turn" was activated. Then horizontal panning didn't work for me. Vertical panning seemed to work fine. But I also had a problem with Push Back -- could not see the button to activate pushback, as shown in the instructions. Plus, there was no way to resize the window.Wilson

Greetings!Since the head movement is the only reason I downloaded/installed the programme, the resulting inability of horizontal panning that I encountered was enough reason by itself to uninstall the little troublemaker. However, much worse was that the item "settings" in the drop down menu did only ONE thing: completely freeze my sim. I still don't know WHAT settings are supposed to be controlled from there, for every time it was freeze, freeze, freeze. So: off the little bugger went, straight into the digital dustbin where most of my "clever" downloads, whether payware or freeware, finish up after one or two days or, as in the case of "Copilot", within fifteen minutes. I'm not disappointed. I simply don't expect very much, so I just shrug shoulders and move on. In the worst case its only money, and in this particular case its not even that. No sweat.Be well!Jaap Verduijn.

Left side is distance, right side is angle. On the bottom of the window, on the left, is a green "Call for Pushback" bar, just click that once you have set the distance and angle and the plane will be pushed back.It seems you cannot set the parking brake while the pushback window is open which suggests you cannot start engines while pushing back, which you can with Rob Barendregt's gauge, that's a pity.Rob's gauge is neat, has voice and allows engine start while pushing back but will only turn 90 degrees. What I would like is the best of both gauges, Rob's voice & engine start with the ability of turning through more than 90 degrees which FSCopilot has. With luck FSCopilot will be able to allow engine starts in a future release but vocie may be another matter because I know Rob had problems with it for FS9.

Hi all, iam benjamin from FSFDT , author of FSCopilotj-mo : your issue has been identified, and already solved. It will be in next release during next week.About Head effect: thats ot the component i am the happier with, if you dont like it, just disable it, some people are liking it, its why i left it.About Pushback: Voices are coming, we just need nice voice recording and its done, now we would like to find a femal captain voice, that would be better.About engines, you can start engine at any moment during pushback, thats what i do all the time.If you feel like discussing about our stuff, please come to our forum and we will help you and discuss with you, www.mcdu.comFSCopilot has been download 12000 times and we had very few bugs and complains, so that must mean good news. And dont forget : We are freeware, we do that for fun !

Benjamin, thanks for the info re engine start and voices for the future, I will definitely be trying the push-back feature soon.
