Hi all, I am finally planing on upgrading my computer competely and want to know most people's opinion on video card and CPU...Im planing on getting 1 gig RAM, with a Radeon 9800 Pro video card, but CPU wise, have not decided whether to go with intel or stick with AMD. Im kinda heading towards AMD since I have had no problems with my AMD XP 2100.So, what is the greatest out there, I want something fast, but with a budget too....about $800-1000. building the PC myself.Thanks,Billmy sysyem specs are listed bellow...

Hi all!About six weeks ago I bought SimFlyer's GNSv3. For those who don't know this product, it's an XML based Garmin 430/530 GPS gauge that's based on the default FS9 GPS engine but has some enhancements compared to the default GPS500, like a built in NAV/COM radio. I paid $10.99 (later the price was raised when the GNSv3 was sold via SimMarket), and while I was not too impressed with the improvements compared to the default GPS, I thought it was okay.Today I read an announcement on AVSIM's news page that there was a new version v4. Hi,I came across this web site and, at first, thought it was a a flight sim site. I think, though, that they make real airplanes. One of the models shown was the "Bear Jet." It is a 6 seat, single engine business jet with a range of 1,000 nautical miles at 400 mph. I don't think it exists yet but it is a good looking aircraft. I thought it would make a good flight sim aircraft. It would take someone with design experience to build it, which I don't have.Anyway, just thought I'd see what others might think about this plane. Hi,It seems that I can load all airports, except Amsterdam (EHAM). Loading it causes a crash. I didn't modify anything on this airport. I found out that when I disable my Add-on scenery folder in FS the airport loads normal again. Strange, because there are only afcad files in my Add-on scenery/scenery folder of other aiports (I use the default EHAM scenery). My texturefolder in Add-on scenery is empty. Hello,Ive finally bought the ch yoke USB and i am really happy with itBUT...I think i might have some calibration issues since when i try to fly straight i manage to do so for a couple of second but after 5 seconds the plane would start to lose altitude and i am not touching the throttle i am just trying to trim it ..WHat could be the problem. Have i wasted 120 bucks for vain ?Need your helpthanks ,Ben.

Hi,If you tie FSAutoStart to, say, a basic utility like 'Notepad' thus:C:WINDOWSnotepad.exe in "Path to app:", then, as long as Notepad remains open, you can play any game you want while still benefitting from the same setup you have used, and doubtless will continue to use, under the individual Profile configuration you have created for FS9.FSAutoStart will only restart Programs and Services when you decide to close Notepad.The only downside I can see is the loss of the memory defragmentation option offered by FSAutoStart when you exit one game and begin another. I'm going around in circles trying to decide whether to purchase the Aerosoft-Fsdreamfactory aiports of Norway, specifically Oslo and Bergen. Does anyone have any experience with these sceneries? I can't find any reviews on the net that cover these sceneries. I have the Norway airports freeware package, but it's starting to look kind of tired next to all the latest wonderful G-max stuff.Lee

This is a rather unnatural thing to happen.I sometimes twitch the rudder pedals a bit and the parking brake comes off! Not good.Is there a way to disable this "cancellation" function?

Hi all you knowledgable flight simmers hope someone can help with this.I loaded century of flight onto comp this weekend after finally buying it and all looked ok, created flight and went to active runway in cockpit mode but found a blank space where the gauges should be, all other graphics are fine. This is on all default plane I have added nothing at this stage.If you put the labels to on and run the mouse over the space where the gagues should be the labels show fine as if all is well, but no gagues.All other views are ok in virtual gagues are shown and operate.Also when in cockpit mode if you use the shift and number method to gain access to GPS, Radio stack etc again…

I cannot use Esc.shift+enter and shift+backspace, and the push back shift+P. Idon't recall doing anything wrong? I have fs8 too and here everything is ok, any ideas what to do plese.regards Ole

I am having problems reinstalling FS9 on my computer. After inserting disc 2, after 42% installation, I get the error message that MSGAME6.CAB could not be extracted. (It annoyes me, that all you can do is to click OK, which uninstall everything again). There are no errors on the CD. At another occasion, MSGAME2.CAB on disc 1 was the problem. I have tried reseting the swap file, disable antivirus and firewall, emptied the TEMP folder, install right after boot-up with only system idle processes running etc. but nothing works.I would like to know if anyone could provide me with the complete FS9 folder tree, so that I may create them manually and manually extract all files t…

For the Simflyers Phoenix scenery you have to have the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL= line in the CFG at 21 in order for the airport bridges to work right. Now my TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL= is set at 20, so if I change it to 21 will it effect any other airport or anything else in FS9?

i downloaded the fokker software from fokker.avsim.com and i do not understand how to get the new textures installed. for example, i opened the installion for a certian livery and it so called installed it, but when i tried to change the texture of my plane in msfs2004, there was only the original "house colors" texture that i could use. what is up?do i have to paste some sort of code in the aircraft.cgf file? with addon textures i used for my 737, i had to paste new code within it naming it flightsim.# (#=the # proceeding the previous #).

does anyone know if there is a utility of some sort where you could go to any continent i.e Europe and see a list of Airports and the destination to other airports so you can get an idea of the distance you have to travel for example say you only have a 737 and not sure of the distances and airport codes. this would be a good tool for pilots who like to fly in other continents but not familiar with the cities and distances amongst them.
