Hello Gang!I am currently in the process of completing a flight from KDFW to KMIA. After receiving my approach clearance to RWY 8R (New KMIA Rwy is rwy 8L and 8R used to be the old rwy 9L), I pulled the chart for Rwy 8R and noticed that the heading of the runway is 092. Why????? Why did they re-name this runway to 8R if the heading of 092 is cloder to 090 for a 9L or 9C nomenclature???????Thanks for any clarification.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

I'm suddenly getting lock-ups on my computer while running FS9. The screen just freezes and the only thing to get out of it is a hard reset. I then delete my FS9.cfg and the Previous Flight files just to be on the safe side, but then after a flight or two the lock-ups return. Hi Ken,Couple of observations on testing the latest build.1. Phase 3a 'Forcing idle tasks to execute' doesn't appear to work on my system any more. With previous builds this Phase usually was completed within a few seconds but now the program seems to hang at this point. I have tried leaving it for 15-20 mins but it still fails to progress. Task manager reports that FSAutoStart is still running so perhaps I need to wait even longer. However, I can't believe that to be the case as I doubt whether any one would use this option.2. Can I suggest that instead of "Press any key to continue" it might be better to specify a key (say a function key) to reduce the chances of accide…

I have purchased the realair Sf260 and discovered that I as the pilot sits in the right seat. In every other plane I have tried the pilot sits in the left seat. So what am I doing in the right seat of the SF260? Can I change this? It feels somewhat wrong.

I have installed this new scenery and it's excellent. After using the update and the AFCAD from Ed I have run into problems though. I've lost the static aircrafts and I don't see GA planes landing on the short runway. What am I doing wrong...could anybody help please?-Mikkel

Love my CH rudder pedals and yoke, but find that there is noise on the TOE BRAKE CHANNELS that gives a false short transitory signal, even with my feet held as steady as I can.I see this clearly with the groundhandling gauges.Is there some way to adjust this out? Hianyone know if there is a key combination,or short cut, or a way of making one for the Cockpit Tool Tips in FS9.I fly the PSS Vulcan sometimes and it's handy to see what the hdg etc is with Cockpit Tool Tips,but then I have to go through the menues etc to turn it off again when flying something else,any help is appreciated,thaksSteve.

I stupidly overwrote the AP916200.BGL file with the new AFCAD for SNA without backing it up. Could someone please do me a favor? I know that there was a utility posted a while back that let you determine which CAB file on the original FS disk contains a particular file you are looking for. Would someone please tell me the name of that utility so that I can try to replace this BGL file.Even better, could someone who has that utility tell me which CAB file on the disk contains the above BGL?Thanks a lot.Bill

A few days ago I started up FS 9 for the first time in about a month. I was flying the Meljet V.2 777 with the Continental livery. Everything was fine in the sim. No problems at all. Then I closed the sim with the aircraft parked at the gate and I was in the external view mode using activecam. Now when I try to start the sim I get this message: "Visual model could not be displayed. Boeing 777-200ER MR Continental Airlines" Does anyone know how I can fix this? I was thinking if I could get the sim to try to load one of the default aircraft on intro I could at least get the sim going again. Is it possible to change what aircraft the sim loads on startup with out actually ha…

I'm looking for some recommendations for GA airports in the california area. I've looked in the file library but was kind of overwhelmed by the number of files I had to look through and so I thought I might ask you guy's. hi guys, is there anyway to fly the mooney without having to constantly adjust for the left and or right roll without dumbing down the realism settings? or is this just something mooney pilots have to live with. william

The rudder of the MSFS 2004 default DC3 (Dakota) doesnot respond to turn-inputs by twisting the joystick while taxiing. One has to use differential braking to have the aircraft turn. Can something be altered in FS9.cfg file to let the rudder respond to these inputs??Paddy.

i've just discovered using pressure on the stick and NOT movement to manuever the aircraft makes ALL the difference in the world. it's like flying for the first time. i'm now able to do things i couldn't do before and i'm just talking basic things here. one is that i have more control over the VSI, in other words i can make the aircraft climb at whatever rate i want to now and keep it steady the whole way up or down. slow easy pressure and not movement {maybe alittle movement depending on the situation" does the trick. i'm talk a hair width here. not much at all. Hello allMS made some great Oshkosh scenery for FS2002. Anyone try it in FS2004? Furthermore, anyone have the original zip for it? I can't find it at their site any more (in fact I can't find FS2002 at their site anymore, LOL). I installed mine to ADDON_SCENERY like a twerp and now don't know which file is which.Grateful for any help. If anyone has the original file (it was freeware, don't worry) .... [email protected] . I'm just trying to deselect aircraft in FS2004 with FlighJacks SimControl 2.0 but can''t figure out how to do it.I select the aircraft that I want to deselect in SimControl 2.0 and then right click the mouse and get the menu move to flight simulator or move to SimControl and I select Simcontrol and it say's Aircraft already installed in your SimControl Archive!I don't understand what's it doing, It still have the green light as being installed in Flight Simulator 2004Thanks for any help you can give me.Scott

I get superb results with other add-on areas such as Fly Logic Switzerland Apollo Germany UK VFR. I run A P4 2.8 and Nvidia 5700 graphics card. Can anyone suggest suitable 2004 settings

Edetroit has put out an excellent new afcad file (one of a couple I've seen) for the new Santa Ana scenery. Just a tip on how to fix the sinking AI without deleting or messing with the sims AP916200.bgl.Simply take the AFCAD file for KSNA and put it TWO places. (with Eds files that would be both KSNA and 2SNA afcads).1. the Addon Scenery Scenery directory as per normal.2. in the FS9SceneryWorldScenery directory.Thats right...in BOTH locations. SimControl changed the opening FS2002 splash screen with FS2004 splash screen in FS2002.Does anyone know where this splash screen setting is in FS2002.CFG file, I looked but was unable to locate it.I would like to changed it back to the proper one, I beleve the SimControl add-on program changed it on me.Thanks for any help you can give me.Scott
