Just wondering...I'd like to be able to use a program of some sort to "capture" conditions from any number of reporting stations, and then choose stations to enter into FS.For example, set up a station in the Keys to capture every 15 minutes or so as the hurricane goes by..Or, simply catpure weather between, say, Philadelphia and Cape Cod over a 24-hour period, then fly any time during "that day" to utilize real-world changing conditions.Thanks,Andrew

Was on 98SE.Now on XP Pro.Before, I experienced gradual slowdown first noticeable by textures failing to load quickly, then loading slowly, then not at all.... also, menu performance and general FS response just dropped away until it took almost 3 minutes to quit.Time to "failure" was usually within 20 minutes.All is good, and I'm pretty happy with the performance - PIII 500 upgraded to a 1.2 celeron, 384 ram, Diamond VIper 770D Ultra 32, Windows XP Pro. I'm thinking about adding 256 more ram.Setup varies from default - 1 hardware lighting, 5 mip map, no autogen, simple clouds, but high res textures. 1024x768.USA Roads loaded.Was running FSAutostart in 98SE but I haven't …

The last 2 flights I have done resulted, somewhere half way on my trip, in reloading scenery textures. The sim pauses then up comes the little loading status bar and a few seconds later I'm flying again, no real biggie...BUT...I then have an overload of AI traffic which sends the poor center control into overload plus slows my sim down.This is a strange problem that I have never experienced in FS before.Any ideas?Thanks, AdamP.S. Sometime ago I downloaded the Posky models with VCs (757-200 and A330-300). Everything works fine but there seems to be some gauge that I don't have that creates a black square in the panel, in the middle at the bottom of it. The one in the 757 doesn't let me resize it, or move it or take it off, the one in the A330 lets me resize it, but I can't take it off.I have FS2002 and the panels that I use for those two ACs are not the Lonny Payne's for the 757 or the Eric Marciano's for the A-330 but others that I like better for those two ACs.Any ideas what is causing that black square?ThanksLeo

I wonder if any of you have noticed this occurrence or if it is just specific to my computer. If, during my flight and especially on the ground where there is lots of scenery, I hit the alt button, which brings up the menu bar and freezes the action, and then immediately resume the simulation, my frame rates momentarily increase. If I am at Seattle International, for example, and am taxing around and am getting 10-11 frames per second and momentarily hit the alt button and then resume, my frames will, for about 10 to 20 seconds, go up to 14-15 or so. Anyone know why I'm having an odd event with my third party aircraft? When I'm on the ground and change views the plane seems to bounce and kick up dust as during a touchdown. This happens with HJG's DC8 as well as with some other aircraft, but not the default FS9 planes. Any suggestions greatfully accepted.John

In the PMDG Express B1900D equipped with Reality XP Jetline 2 gauge, I set up a flightplan in the GPS and with the XP RTU switch to GPS navigation. When I set the autopilot to NAV mode it won't follow my GPS course. It ignores it or fly only in circles. In the GPS you see the indicator telling you that you are off course and by how much.How can I get the AP to fly the GPS flightplan with the FS default GPS? With the Meridian this worked without problems.

Anyone remember this site, it would let you check the world weather for some of the worst spots, not granted right now just taking off from the bahamas in a single engine would be interesting, but the site looks like its down and taken over by a search engine page...Anything out there like it... a site where you can check for the crappiest flight conditions around?

Hey guys :)Just wondering if anyone knows why the ai traffic is visible all the time, apart from during an instant replay?For example, watching a landing during an instant replay in FS9, an airport that is usually busy, appears empty, without any of the ai traffic being visible during the replay.Any reason why this happens or is it just a flightsim limitation?

Im just wondering if why no one uses the topic rateing system?I do allmost all the time if i dont feel like putting a comment to a post i just give it a rateing... So do any others do the same thing...

Does anyone know of a decent logbook available for FS9. The one in the sim is really not that brilliant. I'm thinking of writing my own if not.Regards Pete

I've been trying to determinar what the acronyms on the throttle quandrant refer to. I know that T/O is the 'take-off' setting and that MCR is max. setting when between 15000 - 30000 ft. with anti-ice on, but what about MCT and APR? Usually APR stands for 'approach' but that seems to spool up the engines to max RPM's. Instructions on flying this plane allow one to get up in the air but not landing it (as far as throttle settings are concerned). Any help would be deeply appreciated. (See attachment)

Hello once again. I am slowly getting everything back in order after my HD crash...but still some minor irritants. So I need to ask another stupid question here.I downloaded a panel for the B777, my default aircraft is the PMDG B737-600, cold and dark cockpit.if I try to load the B777, the panels go dark as soon as it loads.I have loaded the PMDG B737 started batts and ground power, exited it and went to the cessna, turned batts on and avionics on...still no help. I did search a bit here earlier, and found lots of ways to make it a dark cockpit...but not to change it. The B777 panel in question is by Mr. Johan Peeters. I'm considering buying a buisnessjet and as far as a know only Eaglesoft have them.I wonder about the difference between Cessna Citation X and Cessna Citation II/SP. Is X more expensive because of all the eyecandy or offer it something more? I have read that it have no fully moddeled FMC. And also that II has none at all and this is precisely like thereal thing. Also was the II model finished after the X model? So which of these Cessnas are best buy?

Hi all,I have been running FS9 for months now with no problems. Now I get a CTD when changing options on the menu (mainly fuel and payload). Hi gang,Can someone help with an fs2004 performance issue I'm having?I'm getting very good frame rates after all the tweaking I've done (averaging around 40fps) and everything's as smooth as silk, but there's one last issue that's annoying me tremendously!Every time I get some radio traffic (i.e. ATC), I get a very small but noticable stutter. Now, when flying around VFR, it's not so much of a problem, but when I'm flying, say, out of Gatwick, with all the RT, it makes it almost unusable.I've tried everything I can think of. I've been flying on VATSIM quite a bit lately and would like to try my hand at flying in Europe since there seems to be a lot of traffic and online controllers. I have approach plates for Europe, High Altitude IFR charts, and just recently purchased ONC charts for the area but the latter do not have frequencies for VORs and such. Is there any chart analogous to a VFR sectional available for those areas? ThanksDavid
