The above aircraft are two of my favorite to look at IRL.For the Cub, there is the default MS one. It's very detailed and the sounds are also OK. Unfortunately, it's "unpredictable" on the ground, to say the least. I have deveopled some procedure to get it airborne and landing it without it starting to literally do a pirouette, dip a wing into the ground, nose over, veer totally off the runway or something similar. However, I doubt this procudere is very realistic and sometimes it does it no matter what I try. I know taildraggers are hard to drive and land, but I have very little problems with the RealAir Scout or even the other default taildraggers...?Once in the air it …

Anyone successfull getting FS9 to run in Linux using Wine or WineX?I have got my Linux system working now and am thinking about diving in and seeing if I could get it to work. FS9 is practically the only reason I dual boot back into XP anymore, so if I could get it working in Linux I would be fairly pleased.My other option is to use VMWare and run a virtual Windows XP machine in Linux, but I don't think that would work too well.

From looking at some of the screenshots as well as pictures from the latest PC Pilot magazine review, it appears that some of the old default MicroSoft Roads show in addition to the new correctly placed roads? In a few of the shots, this looks really odd. I thought USA Roads would have completely erased and replaced the old roads.For all who own the product, is this so, and if so, how much (if any) of a distraction is this?

Hi all,I've got FS9 problem, it only happens on one scenery which is WIII (Soekarno Hatta Intl), previously it's fine, but now it's nightmare.About 5 seconds it's fine, but after that the screen started to get shaky and therefore makes FS9 hangs, so I've to end FS9 Process by pressing Ctrl+alt+delI've tried several solution including re-installing FS9 which worked fine, but it happens again. Re install the WIII scenery, I tried that, it still happens, using different AFCAD, it also still happens.What do you think might be the problem ? please help me.Thank You.

Is there a way to change or turn off the effects on the updated files released from SGA. The upper & lower red beacons light up a good portion of the upper & lower fuselage?Rick

Matt Fox has uploaded to the Avsim library high-quality sectional and terminal area charts in .jpg format for the entirety of Alaska. Having given a couple of the charts a good once-over, it appears he has done a rather good job of aligning the north and south halves of each chart into one chart that looks quite good at close zooms; I recommend their quality.Matt, thanks a ton for making digital copies of these charts available to our community in such high quality!Folks, after you've downloaded these sectionals, download some Alaska mesh, grab one of these charts and fly VFR with real weather sometime. I live in Michigan, near Selfridge airforce base. I always see this huge military cargo jet flying around. It looks somthing like this one. Does anyone know what it is and is it available for fs2004?, Thanks, Bob

Is anybody here using the FS2004 updated edition of this a/c? If so, how is it? Any PC performance issues ?I am a 747 buff and love the -200 as much as the -400. I'm just wondering if it flies well and how the visual models are.Appreciate any opinions from users, thanks!JS

Greetings my fellow flight simmers,After countless searches on the Avsim forum and the POSKY forum, I have come across a wide variety of ways to implement the PSS 747 Panel with the POSKY 747v3. Up until now, I've been using the PSS panel with the POSKY 747 by having the panel and sounds aliased to the POSKY plane. However, I've just discovered, without my prior knowledge, that the PSS panel displays inaccurate fuel/weight measurements due to the fact that it only recognizes 3 tanks, while the POSKY plane has several tanks.Question 1: How do you fix this problem? I could not find the solution after searching through posts. Can someone please tell me how to edit my POSK…

I usually fly with the VC, but I just noticed in 2D view when I look to the sides, the inside of my aircraft is not showing up now in any view except the 2D front panel. Is there is setting or key I need to use.Thanks,

Hello everyone...I am a bit confused about this. On the FSGenesis Website, I see 38.2m mesh for the USA on sale.But then I came to AVSIM and found the whole 38.2m mesh for the USA available freely, stating that it is the former payware version.So, why is it for sale on the FSGenesis online store?BTW, if it is also available as freeware, i'd like to get the European mesh, but I can't find it on AVSIM. Hi I was wondering if anyone knew how to take a recorded sound (flaps) and use it with flight sim 2004. I recorded one on my MP3 player and listened to it on the computer in winamp and it worked fine so i placed the file in the sound file for the 737 and named it bmflaps so I went to try it out but iu didn't hear anything. I know all the different views everyone has with Ariane but I did buy their new 737 and when its loaded up I get very blurry panels.I have a new P4 3.2 with a ATI 9800 video card 1 gb DDR Ramm and a new install of FS9 with the display set at 1289x960.I have attached some screen shots of the problem,I have emailed Ariane but no response and I know that will get a few replies.I look at the manual and all their screen shots are very clear and mine are not,I have no other problem with any other aircraft. TODAY...Saturday, September 4, 2004. It's 9:30AM Eastern time. I just flew from KMIA to KPBI (Miami to Palm Beach) in an Airbus 320. Only 55 miles, but USE REAL WEATHER, and you will find it a challenge. The winds are incredible as you come into Palm Beach. I nearly stalled and crashed with Autothrottle on at 230 knots. It's raining profusely, and visiblity goes in the toilet as you come onto runway 9. It should be this way for a while. Enjoy it.

And second group without any period.Which is the correct syntax? Hi all,I am hopeful someone here may be be able to help me with a frustrating problem...I am running FS2004 on a 3.2Ghz/HT/2MB RAM..., and when thesim is running with framrates *unlimited*, it is incrediblysmooth.However, if I attempt to limit the frame rates, even by one FPS below the average, frequent stutters all of a sudden occur.I have to limit the frame rates due to the requirements ofnetworked software that requires access to FS2004, so I amdesperate for a solution...any ideas?Thanks.Cary Green
