Ok, I've tried everything I can think of, but I'm still getting that 'tiled' look at sunset & sunrise. I'm not sure if I've got some of my settings off or not turned up high enough. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, can anyone recommend proper settings for view & cloud draw distances? The panels with FLCH functionality that I'm aware of that work in FS9 are the PMDG B73NG, V-Max B742 (FLCH in it's initial embryonic stage); and the Airbus panels (I believe "managed thrust" is what it's called in Airbus panels).Are there any others? I know PIC B763 has this, but can't yet be used in 2004. This is not the more sophisticated V-NAV feature, just climb/TOGA constant thrust with forward speed managed by pitch attitude.Thanks,Bruce.

I usually don't pay much attention to these little problems..but I recently restarted my FS career and these flat clouds are really getting on my nerves..I wonder if anyone can help me with these? The results were encouraging enough that I want to re-enable the guages in the engineer's panel in RFP- they came dis-abled in the April 2003 patch in order to preserve frame rates. OK, I'm sure this will irritate some people here, but I had to share my joy with those who will appreciate this kind of news. I had been frustrated with my FS9 performance for quite a while. I've got a Dell 4550 P4 2.53ghz, 512mb generic Ram, and a GF5600FX Ultra 128 video card. I have always demanded that my sim give me the most frames per second (who doesn't right?) at the cost of all the eye candy and things that make FS9 look more realistic. I used to think that yanking all the sliders in my video card control box to the left would increase my performance. It did, sometimes, but at 50 FPS with stutters, what's the point. I've been running FS9 now for about 3 months. Added AFCAD 2 and TTools, and do some tinkering with my own AFCAD. Run Windows XP Home. I've not had a problem with it, nor with FS2K2 crashing to desktop.There was a rare occurence in 2K2 when the sim would lock-up and crash, but not like this.Duration of flight doesn't seem to be a factor. Monitor suddenly goes dark. After about 10 seconds, I'm bounced back to desktop.This has happened on last 3 consecutive flights out of SEA with default King Air.I've added nothing to the game to alter it. I am looking for the wheeled version of the DHC 3 TTC Super Otter.I have installed the Amphib loaded and Unloaded versions, but cannot find the wheeled origional model. I have searched the library, and no luck. I copied the discribtion of the file that was close. but still need to find the wheeled origional. I thought for a second that I just added a second config to one of the amphib (loaded or unloaded) and it would create a wheeled model. But somthing tells me to ask before I make a mess. Has anyone else had unhappy dealings with this company?I joined over a week ago and have not received any communication from them. I received the initial 'welcome' message but have been unable to make contact with them via email, telephone or fax.I also understand from posts within the Avsim forums that they have been using other peoples scenery without permission.If anyone has been able to make contact with them, plaese could they advise how?Appears to be a 'take your money and run' company. Hi guys,just an idea that crossed my mind:I am running a lot of stuff on a 2nd computer with FSUIPC and WideFS. So wouldn't it be a good idea to create a whole plane that is running through a program like WideFS on a 2nd computer? And let the FS computer do the visuals only. Now wouldn't that be a great fps saver and at the same time allow for functionality that FS9 is lacking in the flight and instruments section.Just a thought, what do you think?Alex

So I pull out a few posky 747's out of the hangar and noticed their wingtip strobes are floating 10-15 feet above the wings?! I know it's probable some text that needs correction but heck if I can find any thread on their website or here on the subject.Is there a patch (I'm using V3 of the models)? I have already posted about this at the AVSIM PMDG forum and am also engaged in dialogue with PMDG directly, but since a solution is proving elusive, wish to post on the general MSFS forum as well, as follows:If I crash (i.e., physically crash the plane in the sim) the PMDG 737 NG, the situation does not re-set at all. In fact, the screen goes black for a minute or two and then FS9 crashes totally. I have the FS9 blue bar at the top of the screen during this delay and there is some flashing or ghosting of several PMDG panels such as the overhead or the main panel, but they are still all black and are literally just a flash on the screen during this non-reset period.At t…

Hello All,I guess I should know this, but I can't, for the life of me, to get FS9 to call my Fed Ex aircraft, by name . . . I hear it call other Fed Ex aircraft, but it will never identify mine with 'Fed Ex', starting to bug me just a tad. I thought I knew how it was done, but perhaps I don't. Anyone care to enlighten me? Well it's good to be back. I have been out of the Flight Sim community for quite some time. But I got a faster processor and a new video card and I'm back! :)Anyway, I got an AMD XP 3000+ processor and an ATI 9800 pro video card. I installed FS9 and here is what's happening.I load the game and create a flight, loading real weather. I get on the runway and notice that the needle on one of the dials flashing in and out, and also I get some flashing of the scenery.
